  1. Well done @Jim. I think between you and @Sariel we’ll get amazing feedback on the Chiron. I won’t ask any questions for obvious reasons. looking forward to the reveal on the 1st
  2. Cracking little engine. I’m guessing it’s not long now till the actual reveal of the Chiron. Rumour has it will be one of the sets for early VIP release at the end of May that are on the calendar
  3. Hi all, not too sure where to post this and I couldn’t find the answers with a search so please excuse me. my better half is going to treat me to a trip to Billund, will just be a solo trip as she doesn’t understand this plastic brick obsession and we don’t have kids. what I’m after knowing is recommendations of where to stay, how long do people normally take to visit the new Lego house/museum thingy, is legoland worth visiting as a solo adult? And is so how long to see? Is there anything else I should add to the list? Oh and how easy is it to get to/from the airport? id be going outside uk school holiday times thanks in advance seasider oh and before you say I’m away on holiday when the eurobricks event is on
  4. @Jaromir - sorry I was aware English isn’t your first language and I wasn’t criticising just wanted to give the correct term and explain it a bit. Still got my fingers crossed this is going to be a good model
  5. @Jaromir it's called engine marriage and as you say its when the Body and Drivetrain get joined together. its actually very common for cars built on a production line, you'll have 1 line building up the body and another assembling the engine & suspension and then at a certain point in time you'll bring the 2 together in a marriage. As you rightly point out the Chiron isn't line built, this is very common on high end low volume supercars, think Enzo etc. If they're doing the Lego model in a similar way I'd expect you to build up the "tub" and then offer the rear end up to it. However even as an automotive engineer I'd prefer the lego model to be the "best it can be" without being strict about trying to be built like the real car.
  6. The Beijing motor show is on for a few days either side of 1st May, but I can’t imagine Lego releasing it there :)
  7. Looks good but it needs its bonnet lifting and a more rakeish windscreen
  8. Love the look of the Mk3
  9. Love the model, especially in the original colours as someone else says it harks back to the Nissans. My only criticism would be that I think it needs a flat bit of roof just to start with otherwise the Cabin is a bit weird
  10. I was aware of the Chiron Sport ... I do work in "Group" and follow motorshow activity a lot as part of my job I meant I wonder when we'll hear more about the Lego set
  11. Needs to be Bugatti 2 tone Blue Wonder when we'll hear more about this, haven't heard anything from Geneva motorshow.
  12. you've got it wrong its a right handed mug so you show off your Technic building skills while drinking your desired beverage
  13. @MatrixOne if you look a few pages back in this thread you’ll find someone worked out a simple mod to get the exhaust ports rotated. If I remember correctly it’s a turntable and a few 1x1 studs to hold the vents in a rotated position
  14. @MatrixOne are you going to be consistent with the orientation of the trans-blue slopes? if you did them all as option 3 i guess it would still work ? Also I'm tending towards this out of all the engine mods on here, will you be doing a parts list for the change ?
  15. There are actually a few super cars that use the rear wing as an air brake for braking from high speed. It also helps keep the rear planted as the weight shifts forward under braking. McLarens do this, I think the Veyron did and I think we the new Ford GT may too.
  16. Well done everyone, some very worthy winners. looking forward to the next competition already
  17. Love the mugs ... sad to hear something underhand has gone on
  18. That’s what I meant, the modern black light cycle from the “games” and then Flynn’s white one stored at his house off the grid
  19. Great little car and figure ... but it’s a 308 GTS not a 380
  20. I'm hoping the set contains 2 light cycles the "modern" Black one and the white "retro" one
  21. Looks like a great MOC, I've got the Saturn V just not built it yet. Definitely needs to have a Dark Red car as its payload
  22. Definitely HOF material. Just love it. Want to build one myself now.
  23. 3:10 24:6 22:4 15:3 1:2 17:1 Some great entries from everyone (as usual) ... Good Luck everyone
  24. @Ngoc Nguyen Thanks, just wondered if they were similar enough to not look out of place next to each other and perhaps a slight rescale to enable 42009B to grab the Mack container
