  1. Is it technic figure size? I've got a few, one is sitting in Brickmonkeys Mx5 on my desk at work
  2. Thanks for the review Jim, as indepth as ever. from thinking 2017 was going to be a bad Technic year I've now changed to I'm definitely buying this. i still prefer the wheels to tracks, but that's personal preference. looks like a great set to MOD, looking forward to what people come up with
  3. There's a lot going on there. are there a couple of 3L 4 pin connectors right in the middle semi floating ?
  4. So a slight delay in the reviews then Jim? I'm sure we'll all survive as your reviews are very in depth and worth the wait
  5. Instantly recognisable. Superb model, love the seemless use of both technic and standard parts
  6. But is that cent/part ratio skewed because of the tracks?
  7. Thanks Jim, looking forward to the Review then. My only thought is do I buy the set and MOD or do I Bricklink what I think I'm missing and MOD. I do think it looks like a great Jeep on Wheels instead of tracks and a bit of playing with the track for the wheels and it could look great. I think at the moment the only other colour you can switch the Purple parts to is Orange (from the Porsche) so I wonder what it would look like with a complete Orange body ... i think there's lots of possibilities
  8. Hi Jim, can you put the Claas wheels and tyres on it too? Interested to see what this looks like
  9. Like "The Great Egg Race", an old tv programme from when i was a kid ... sounds like a good idea, but it would have to be an easy enough challenge for us to all replicate and film
  10. Here's a general question regarding the 2017 H2 big sets, why do we think Lego has ditched the numbered bags ? The last big Technic model I built was the Claas and having also built all but the Routemaster Creator Vehicles the past weeks I see the advantage of numbered bags, especially when build space is limited and/or the "boss" asks you not to leave your Lego all over the lounge carpet each night !
  11. Great video review as ever. seeing it now it puts it on my possible list. i think it may be a great set for modding have you tried the Claas/6x6 wheels/tyres on it? might have to hope a well known supermarket gives a good discount on this like they did with the Claas very early on, got to buy a London Routemaster first
  12. Great review as always Jim ... have you convinced me to buy this set (as you sometimes do with your reviews) ? ... No. Just too expensive for what it is.
  13. The parts list for the Anniversary Chassis is small. Just find my thread on it
  14. Sorry to drag this up again but now the models are out is there any hint at if there's still something more to come from the Anniversary?
  15. using firefox at work ... voted and now i can't see the poll correction ... voted again and its a bit tempermental ... seems to let me vote more than once !
  16. Well that's me sold. So do we know when it's in stores ? is there a special early release in London? or any more details about the rumoured free gift and how/when that is available? wondering if I need to ask a London based friend to go to a shop for me
  17. Doesn't look too bad given the scale, looks pretty close to a Routemaster to me, but as others have said I'd like to know what it has for an interior.
  18. Here's hoping that's true and there's something marvellous to be unveiled
  19. when do we think news on the Routemaster will drop ? ... if it is a Creator large scale Routemaster (correct name for an old London bus in case you're wondering)
  20. any hints as to when the next contest is Jim or Milan ?
  21. isn't that book cover photo just the current standard size Falcon ?
  22. That's what I meant. The car has 3 suspension positions. Car on its lowest setting for "Off" / "parked", Car on "Normal" setting for driving, and finally "raised" setting for extreme of suspension travel. The "trick" of the car driving on 3 wheels is you could make it individually raise and lower a wheel so you could set 3 to "raised" and one to "low" where the "low" would appear to be retracted into the body
  23. looks good so far. Have you included the fact that the car can lift one of its rear wheels clear off the ground and still drive around on the other 3 ? I think as well as lowering the car it can also jack itself up slightly from "normal" position
  24. I wonder if the "067" could be a second car to go with the Porsche but from 1967 ? I did a search on this to see if there was anything of interest/importance from that year and the one gem I came up with was Alfa Romeo had a Concept car at the Expo 67 which then became known as the Montreal when it was later released as a production car. just a thought hoping that whatever the second 40th surprise is that it's a good one that will get me spending my hard earned cash
  25. But the first Lego sets were boxes of bricks to make buildings unless I'm mistaken. however in 1967 there were a number of Lego trucks including a Tow Truck. hoping Jim can give more clues or Lego tells us more soon
