Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks for the answers It is very clear I need to buy TH haha Unfortunately Amazon does not ship these large products to Australia, but I have found a pretty good deal for AU$250 (Australian RRP is AU$299) on a local website here, so I'm gonna go for that one I think After just finishing the Palace Cinema, I need a good build to meet the standard of that build Thanks again all -
Yeah I much prefer the new façade of the Hardware Store, looks great Happy building

timmyc1983 replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent, a restaurant like a cafe, a city can never have too many restaurants so this is really exciting!!! I can't wait for some pics and I can't wait for a release date. March seems soooo long away tho Thanks Grograll, I look forward to your next tip off!- 198 replies

Excellent little town you have there and a wonderful tour! I think my favourite building is the post office, but all of your MOCs are well done I also like the look of that Blue Cafe, any chance of a shot of the full exterior of that...? Anyway, I look forward to further updates! Happy building

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The part call out in step 6 is for two Black 1 x 1 plates and one black 1 x 1 tile.... And yes the 1 x 1 tiles in the shop are black! Good luck with the build, it's a fantastic build the Green Grocer!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Now my question is for anyone who has the Town Hall........ Is the Town Hall a worthwhile Modular to buy? I left it to last on my list because I have my doubts over it. It seems like such a large building and doesn't seem to fit well with the others. Not to mention I already have the Town Plan Town Hall in my city. Any thoughts would be appreciated -
No worries peeps, I look forward to seeing your's come together... Now I focus on Market Street

I spotted the Exorcist I think, with the dude on the ceiling....? But this MOC is brilliant!! The attention to detail and all of the references are just sublime. The house by itself is amazing with the detail in each room but then when you add each side in plus all the great little touches underground, this is spectacular! I look forward to seeing some photos and explanations Congratulations to you all and happy building

St. Gwydre's Church - Dark Isle Saga: Chapter 1, Part 7
timmyc1983 replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
That church is something else!!! :wub_drool: The texture in the walls and the detail you have added to the whole MOC is just incredible. But I seriously can't get over how good the church looks!! Amazing! And that last picture gives me chills! That's how real the whole things looks!! Fantastic job and happy building -
Here's some photos, (sorry, my phone was the only thing handy, hope you can see it ok) You can see where things haven't lined up sometimes, but you can nearly always fix it on the next row of bricks. I was more concerned about the front looking good, so having mismatched rows doesn't bother me too much, at least not $3.00 x 50 anyway And yeah I also swapped those panels on my Cafe Corner, only an AFOL would notice and like you say the price is crazy!

Cool, I love the art deco look and you've captured it really well (as usual). My fav in the chemist so far, I like the SNOT awning and sides on the façade! I look forward to more and happy building

Wow, amazing set of cars I love the classic beetle and the hippie van and the T1 Van, but they're all great I love that they have stories with your CMF too! Great job and happy building!

Inside Kaliphlin - 14 Days, 7 Builders, and 22 MOCs Later
timmyc1983 replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
Firstly I'd like to say how amazing all of these MOCs have been! I mostly hang around the Town forum but often lurk in the Historic & Pirate Forums and this GoH forum. Although I have no idea about how the GoH works or anything, I can appreciate a good MOC when I see it, and all of these have been exceptional. And I have also enjoyed playing 'tourist' and learning a little bit about Kaliphlin. I look forward to more amazing MOCs in this forum, happy building all -
This is a fantastic MOC. My favourtie bits are the lot with all the bits and pieces strewn all over the place, and the fence, it gives the whole thing that perfect run down look you're going for! And I agree with the other, the tool box is a great touch and well designed! Great work and happy building

MOC: Cobblestone Street & Bridge, Theatre District
timmyc1983 replied to AncientDayz's topic in LEGO Town
Wow, what a stunning bridge and roadway, and those stairs The whole thing is simply amazing, I think I'm in love.... Works so well with the two Palace Cinemas! Great work and happy building -
Sounds like you're steaming along nicely! Yeah, the pictured GG has the substitution and I love it just the same! You really can't tell the difference... I figured with these there are only 4, so the average price per piece isn't damaged too much by getting these. Might have been a different story if you needed 20 instead of 4... Anyway, I look forward to seeing the progress and seeing them all get built Good luck

This is awesome so much detail in there! It actually looks like cakes are being made the way you have designed it! I love it.... Now you need to build the building in which this cake machine is situated. Is it out the back of a French patisserie, or is it in a factory all on its own. I'd like to see a little patisserie with this huge machine out the back, that'd be quite funny Great MOC and happy building

Just to spur you on that little bit more :) I finished my Green Grocer the other night, so I thought I'd post my two completed Bricklinked modulars. The only thing I'm missing is the hard-to-get light blue torso for one of the figs in the Cafe Corner. Anyway, here they are, hope it provides some inspiration for you! Don't lose sight of your dream :) (Now all I need is Market Street ;) ) Happy building

Love it! Especially love the top floor, I've never been to Amsterdam but this is the sort of building I would expect to see there.... For its architecture.... Of course........ And interesting way of perusing the insides with the side opening walls, nice feature I look forward to the next one, happy building

Great idea! How about 'The Painted Cloud Cinema', specialising in foreign and art films for the town of Brixton Valley
-
Wow, this is a spectacular build! The sheer size itself is fantastic but i think my favourite bit is the detail in the garden. So many different types of plants and flowers and fruits and that waterfall But the mountain is amazing too, again very detailed and the building coming out of it is wonderful touch! Great work, I look forward to more soon and happy building

Oooo very scary! My favourite part in this is the candles and the wax, really cleverly done and the frog made me snigger oh yeah and that transparent chest with the crystals in it looks really cool too I can't wait for the next chapter (having read up to chapter 28 all at once, any wait is too long )

Wonderful hotel you've made there, I'd love to see it brick built too, but it would seem that won't happen any time soon, but it's still a great design! I look forward to more, happy building

Awesome little town. You have some great MOCs there I look forward to seeing more in the future! Happy building

This is a lovely building I too enjoy the plate design above the windows, very clever! And you've inspired me to make a MOC with plates on the façade, so thank you for that too Well done and happy building
