  1. Yeah! I might just let this survive in one piece for a while! It runs at about 10 volts the rear axle stalls on hard climbs but like you mentioned it doesnt heat up! one other thing is the lego battery I think weighs more, so yours has more weight on the front for climbs
  2. Awesome! do you just use random colors for the inner structure to leave the other colors for the outer layers? Or does the color coding mean anything?
  3. I've built it! Since I couldnt see exactly how you built your axles I improvised, and of course I also built a different chassis, here's a video: ] change quality to hd (720p) for better resolution
  4. hmm...what you are describing is almost exactly like my 'SuperMini track car'! no suspension, servo steering, and 3:1 ratio from 2 L-motors! only difference is that I used differential, and it has very short wheelbase, plus it's very ugly here it is, I believe I made a topic about it too:
  5. Your projects deserve to be followed good luck on this one...is it RC?
  6. Absolutely perfect. In fact, I love this so much I'll try and rebuild something similar to this if you don't mind I'm eager to see how it performs with my battery. Good thing I already have the adapter cables!
  7. That's exactly what I thought too, listened again to realize he said fluffy
  8. I could use another servo or L motor but I REALLY want those large six-hole rims with the white stripe the black plastic looks nice and glossy too, I have the small black racing wheel with 6 holes and it's great
  9. Any chance for some pictures of the front suspension with body removed? I'm really interested at how you made it EDIT: I know the bodywork is the frame but at least some of the hood can be removed...
  10. eh, I've pretty much finished and to sum it up it has similar performance to AndyCW's KOTH crawler. It really could've used a lower ration for first gear. I'll make a pic of the steering and now I will begin taking apart the chassis to get at those buggy motors, so I can have a shot at my next rc project- a small fast car hopefully with suspension :)
  11. I used it because of the simple mounting method but will probably change it I've been meaning to make a topic about this concerning how they were made and what is required to charge them once you have it. More details might be shown there. For now it's a maybe.
  12. yes I'm going to be working on the steering this week
  13. Awesome! I like the suspension and rollcage
  14. Well I'm back with huge progress. I had a bit of time yesterday after winning some races on DiRT3 and got to work on figuring out the extremely tricky link mounts on the chassis for the front end-One being the 1/2 stud offset going on in some spots and Two being the mini LA getting in the way. But after some trial and error yesterday and today I finally got it perfect, along with improving the entire structure. I also added the front axle which I completed last week when my BL orders arrived. Now I need to strengthen the upper level of the chassis, figure out steering, and find a place to put my two batteries. Pics: ^just look at how many times I had to work out the offsets...the main superstructure is compact but I bet it will be a pain to take apart, I made sure to use as many '3l pin with bushing ends' as I could so dis-assembly would be easier. ^the bottom of the chassis turned out neat and sturdy. ^perfect example of how tight a fit everything was with the LA on the side... ^not as much articulation as I would like but this is because there is a limited amount of up/down travel because the middle of each of the u-joints in the chassis ends are directly underneath buggy motors, so If the shocks compressed any further then the u-joints would pop out. ^a nice fit, no rubbing between chassis and tire. *While taking photos I saw that I had not placed the bottom links on the front axle wide enough apart: But it was an easy fix: Enjoy and wish me luck with the rest of the build!
  15. I love this MOC, truly impressed, and as Nazgarot said, I would like to use the clutch or gearbox in a future MOC
  16. hmmm sounds good, scion probably easier chassis wise, what's your PSN id? btw piterx, does the gearbox withstand a lot of torque?
  17. I have it for ps3, but yeah I might try to build a car from the game since you can look at it in detail in the garage
  18. Nice! I've driven it before! Not in real life but in my favorite game, DiRT3
  19. woah, just saw this pop up, looks amazing! are the outriggers pneumatic?
  20. pretty sure it's to absorb hits to the front of the car, I like it
  21. Awesome! I really need to sit down and build, 2 out of 3 BL orders arrived today
  22. Hilux seems good, just like djmedic2008's rc hilux project:
  23. What do you mean by that? I'm sure it is-the LA keeps the driving ring in place solidly...
