  1. voted for BOSS, although looks like enforcer might win, either way both models are great, I only like the enforcer because of the vast number of parts, which lego will most likely take away to save weight, so it loses its purpose for me, while this one is perfect as it is for an official model
  2. looks like Most Wanted I'm trying to decide between BOSS and enforcer...Boss for lightweight and nice body+winch, while enforcer for vast amount of parts...maybe they will make super-extra hard springs? Most likely voting boss but will think about it....
  3. maybe because I use a lot of power (two 10 volt battery packs powering two buggy motors or two xl motors)
  4. Piotrek839 recently posted pictures on brickshelf of a MASSIVE mobile crane, much bigger than this years official set, that's for sure. Wouldve been amazing for set of this size but probably WAY too expensive...Just feast your eyes on this masterpiece... Find the rest of the pics(size too large) here http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=520162
  5. don't think anyone has gone into detail about this...but I happened to see the new 8t gears on bricklink for $0.54 per piece!! Of course I immediately ordered 8 out of the 90+ he had and I am here to show you pics of the gear, and of the gear in the portal hubs. As most of my fellow trial truck/crawler builders know, the 8t gear slides out of place, causing something like this under high torque: Now for pics of new 8t gears! And now for the new 8t gears in portal hubs! They do exactly what was expected of them, they do not slide into the outside of the portal hub! Of course, they slide into the inner, larger hole, but this will not happen in any MOC if you build properly another angle: Exactly what we trial truck/crawler builders have been waiting for!
  6. looks like a wave of official battle bots! (hammer, bazooka, blender, gripper) Looks expensive but a must-have!
  7. agreed, whole model's aesthetics look halfway-completed, good model with great parts, but they REALLY could have tried harder to make it look better... The front wing and nose tip look great, and the rear, but in some places it looks patchy and colors don't match. But either way, great set and great part value, will definitely buy this and maybe use the suspension and other pieces and try to make a MOC of the BAC Mono:
  8. that's amazing, movements looks realistic, amazing what can be achieved with lego and programming
  9. wow, just saw that on brickshelf, was going to post about it I admire the functions in such a small space and the amazing bodywork
  10. 42 minutes to go! Happy new years and nice pic Dluders
  11. Edit: maybe you should actually look more closely at the picture, not the name of the set similar size, both seem to have suspension, and a similar shape.
  12. I was also reminded of the 8465 extreme offroader upon seeing this year's. 8465:
  13. does the monster truck have any functions like suspension/possible winch?? and what is the relative size?
  14. I once got the star wars battle droid carrier: it had plenty of studded liftarms and gear racks also for New Years a while ago I got the 8157 formula one very large, beautiful set with plenty of system and technic parts like axles, black wishbones/hubs, a u joint for steering and plenty of studded liftarms  - I spent the next year making changes to look like the first formula 1 racers, and the latest ones at the time and about expensive wheels, I just bought a set of four wheels from the 8448 super street sensation for $15 each! along with some other parts for a total bricklink order of $120+ wheels-
  15. taken apart a day after I built it
  16. these parts will be perfect for new solid-axle truck designs... will definitely get this one when it's available in U.S
  17. UPDATE: New pics of nearly-finished axle, braced/reinforced-now just need to figure out what to do for steering... Looks good, clearance: 7 studs under axle and 11 studs under center of chassis Made BL order for some parts like wishbones and pulley wheels for rear suspension/driveshafts, and got myself (finally) some wheels from the 8448 super street sensation, since they have good design for steering geometry and realistic tread. Pics of trial truck progress: left front tire(underneath buggy motor) will rub against the buggy motor if steered under full flex, but I can just avoid that... Hope everyone likes it so far and I REALLY hope this works out ...wish me luck!
  18. great moving sculpture from the front it looks a bit like an optical illusion
  19. @Dluders - Beat you to it
  20. nice, love the rok lox 1.9 tires,im sure thats what they are I have a set of four and I don't know about circumference but outer diameter is 114.7 mm (4.54in) Pretty sweet offroad, if you got some weight on top for better traction
  21. hmmm, hopefully monster truck doesn't have unimog ball joints or else , tired of that simple setup, needs realistic monster truck 4-link, but probably unlikely. Green is a good sign...any hint as to the price or size of the models in comparison to eachother?
  22. Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas! I'm back with a new idea for a trial truck- large scale 4 link suspension, powered by a buggy motor coupled with an xl motor for high torque and high speed, from there a driveshaft runs to the 'transfer case' and then to a telescopic driveshaft going to the axle. Need to figure out a good steering system to fit on the axle (suggestions welcome). Made pictures and a video. I used simple adder so I can use the torque of the xl motor with the speed of the buggy motor, seemed impossible to stop with fingers. Pics: shortly after video I added in a 'model' (sounds better than fake) v8 engine: Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OocLDun9r2Y&feature=youtu.be
  23. love the huayra, it's got my vote I need practice building supercars
  24. well my friend, it has been done before by Tyler Reid- his cobra on MocPages- http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/135724
