  1. Nice story, looking forward to seeing how this develops! And nice intro builds, good job with both the interior details and the photography (Note: The Eastgate battle plan picture seems to have the wrong code, uses iframe instead of BBcode, but the link worked at least)
  2. Another free-build, war planning in the desert in the shade of a palm tree:
  3. Three Kaliphlin officers are making plans for how to stop the Drow from flowing in to Kaliphlin as well, as forces loyal to the Drow invaders of Avalonia have been spotted in Kaliphlin. So far the few invaders have been dealt with by swift actions of the Kaliphlin light cavalry.
  4. Interesting cart design! I also absolutely love that bird (no claim for brick-built creature for that?). Regarding your UoP claims I'd be happy to +1 Shipping by Land. I think however that something more than a handful of SNOT slopes are needed to show mastery of sideways rocks.
  5. I'd like to claim the following credits for my Kaliphlin Desert Cavalry in Action build: Battle Scene [Military Science] Desert [Geography] Tree (3/3) [Landscape Design] Edit: Credits approved, thank you!
  6. Free-build posted, Kaliphlin light desert cavalry in action. (Picture is link to topic) University of Petraea credits claimed for this build: Battle Scene [Military Science] Desert [Geography] Tree (3/3) [Landscape Design]
  7. In the Kaliphlin deserts, wearing heavy armor is usually not a good idea. Even if you manage to drink enough water to avoid dying from dehydration, swift light cavalry will harass you with arrows and spears regardless Here, a plundering force of drow loyalists have been intercepted and they are slowly meeting their fate in a rain of arrows as the dust stirred by the horses’ hooves is stinging their eyes. The heavy armor is mostly able to resist the shortbow arrows but the skilled mounted archers are finding weak spots and are slowly withering down the enemy force. Any infantryman trying to make a counterattack or escape is forced back into the fray by a sharp and lightning fast spear. University of Petraea credits claimed for this build: Battle Scene [Military Science] Desert [Geography] Tree (3/3) [Landscape Design]
  8. Welcome to the Guilds of Historica One-Eye! I always knew that the Mitgardians were consorting with pirates
  9. Both the exterior and the interior are excellent! I especially like the details on the interior wall and the (Duplo?) fur on the floor
  10. Totally unexpected, but it works very well! Nice idea with the turbans, I might borrow that some day
  11. Sorry to hear that NM! Welcome mechamike to the friendly Kaliphlin guild! Looking forward to seeing your builds and hearing the story of Kael! Of course you are allowed to make him interact with my sigfig, just remember that the City Council of Barqa does not look mildly on acting on the wrong side of the law! (Except for when it benefits the Council )
  12. Great minifig posing and nice forest on the last pictures! I also like the wooden structures a lot, looking forward to seeing those in real life.
  13. Nice little quarry, with the vegetation it looks quite old I don't have a big problem with the "brickyness" of the quarry wall, but I think the top part would have benefited from some slopes to show the difference between natural rock and the quarried part.
  14. Sad to hear that, would have been fun to meet you there! Btw we are bringing our 1 year old with us
  15. GoH is waking up again, I like it very much! I was sad earlier today when I realized I spent more time over at the Lands of Roawia forums nowadays and were thinking more and more of builds for that. Time to get down to some Historica building again!
  16. Sir Gideon wishes to help his old friend DG to stop the plague! A question regarding the size limitations, is it ok for a build to be wider than the 16/32 limit in the two restricted categories as long as the total number of studs are less than 256/1024? (For example a 16x48 entry would then be ok in category B?)
  17. As I said on flickr, can't wait to see that large build together with our other modules You are having quite a MOC spree now Etzel! Keep it up!
  18. Interesting color choices and generally a good job with the hull shaping, my favorite part is the lower part of the bow For some reason (can't pinpoint it exactly as I'm not a shipbuilder at all) the stern looks like it could use some improvement.
  19. Onve again you demonstrate mastery of building compact yet detailed castles, well done! UoP +1 for both claims (the nice brickbuilt cactuses is what saved the desert credit )
  20. Very nice house, it looks very much how I imagine how buildings in Sultan's Gate can look like Keep it up!
  21. Very nice brickbuilt map, innovative take on microscale (UoP +1 for that!) What looks a bit weird to me is all the green area inside the walls, I would have expected more roofs there?
  22. Nice little wall I really like those octagonal pillars, but I think a wall of that scale would have looked more natural if it was built of more smaller bricks instead of those long bricks.
  23. Great idea to bring the sigfig, that will definitely be small enough to bring over there
  24. Truly a Kaliphlin vessel! Those Mitgardian pirates better watch out if they come anywhere close to Aden's Gate! I wish I had any triangular sails like that, need to keep an eye out for them on BL I think
  25. If you keep those MOCs coming at this pace, soon SK will have a contender to the title of "Mitgardia's MOCing machine" My favourite here is definitely the downhill sliding, it really conveys an impression of motion in an excellent way. Like HammerBro I think the landscaping in the first build is a little too blocky however.
