Interesting water magic effects My favourite parts of the house is the roof and the wooden walkway around it.

Maybe try SNOTed bricks, works very well as a water surface (actually better than tiles to make it look really flat)?

Nice roof technique

Ch II - The road to civil war - new leadership - arrivals

I had missed that, nice flesh interpretation of my sigfig The council of Barqa is currently very worried about the situation in Avalonia and has indeed sent Gideon north along with both craftsmen and soldiers to help the Avalonians (and of course create opportunities for profitable business, after all our help does not come cheap ) -
Lovely fortified house! My favourite part here is the middle section with the two different roof levels. The way you've stacked the log pieces representing fire wood is a simple but very effective solution which looks great A small question however, how do they get up onto the wooden platform?

Really nice fig combinations there! That warlock looks really scary Regarding UoP I will definitely say +1 for Anthropology: Life in Nocturnus. I don't see any still water in the build but I can say +1 for Geography: Swamp or +1 for Landscaping: Dense Foliage. Generally, I think a build has to be somewhat bigger or more elaborate to be eligible for 3-4 credits. I understand that some builders have a smaller collection to work with, but a good idea then is to make a lot of smaller high-quality builds to gain the UoP credits instead

Great build! That tree is wonderful and you've made a very good job with the action This is the kind of guerilla warfare against the Black Spire I imagine there is a lot of going on all over Nocturnus now?

Very nice, I especially like the first level of the outdoor section and the interior details such as the chandelier. That tipsy elf is a very nice touch as well- 14 replies

Nice selection of figures! I also like your style of photography (or post-processing?) quite a lot. What I think would improve your builds however is to make the ground a little bit more detailed, some scattered small plates would be a good start. -
Nice tower, but it's the rockwork and waterline which caught my eyes here! Good job integrating the stair in the rocks

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Gideon replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks! The gate itself is almost finished now, but I'm struggling with if/how to build a cliff to put it on. I'll be on parental leave all of April so I'll probably try to build my first ship then between changing diapers and cooking baby food Right now however my only ship hull is part of an unfinished build I started as a response when Kabel started the naval provocations...might try to finish that first. -
Very good rumor story, I wonder where this is going? The first outdoor picture is my favorite in this entry. UoP +1 for the roof and FP. The photo of the micro tower in focus did not add a lot however, as the FP looks much better when the minifig is in focus.

Very nice and original idea! I'd love to know what's hidden beneath the surface there! UoP +1 for the claims.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Gideon replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
While everyone else seems to be talking about shipbuilding, I'm still stuck firmly on land. Here's a WIP teaser from what I've been working on since last week -
There are 4 in the Lone Ranger Silver Mine, presently on sale everywhere. Great Kaliphlin parts pack btw

As long as the piece exists in genererally available sets (excluding sets like Lego store opening specials and the like) I think it's perfectly fine to use them in LDD creations and claim that they are feasible. But of course very extensive usage of extremely expensive rare parts (even if they have been in sets, but maybe only in one old UCS or some other expensive set) may cause some AFOLs to call a LDD build infeasible nevertheless

One of the better micro builds we've seen in GoH, well done! I also like the description of the build a lot, very similar to what I had in mind for my (WIP) minifig scale gate I've got no chance of matching your cliff however, mine will only in the best case show a small part of the top of the cliff. Definitely UoP +1 for microscale and cliffs.

Very nice scene! I was a bit disturbed at first by elves cutting down trees, but then when I saw the regrowth it seems like the perfect elven way to do it UoP +1 for logging.

I agree with Kai, all credits should be claimed in the university thread. And then as you hopefully know already you are responsible for keeping track of your credits in the registrar's thread yourself (with links to the builds). Anyway, +1 for manufacturing

Nice build, and I think your photo presentation is quite excellent UoP +1 for wooden walls. One thing I find a bit strange however is that having stone on top of wood looks a bit on the heavy side?
