Excellent build, especially the SNOTed run-down walls and the general shape of the towers! Also great to see an elephant in the build, we don't see nearly enough of those in Kaliphlin

Even though this is Eurobricks and French is the language of chevaliers we appreciate it if people stick to English here.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Gideon replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I suspected that it was the way you did it -
Very nice wall technique, I'm still struggling to understand how those sections of the outer layer of the wall are attached UoP +1 for all four claims. Regarding the photography, I think you should have included one picture showing the whole build without cropping any parts of the build. I also think some more light would not have hurt.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I started my parental leave last Wednesday, but so far I've found almost no time for building...and I only have one kid! How do you manage to be so productive (as you showed during the early days of GoH)? -
Interesting underwater details! I would not have any doubts about acknowledging a University of Petraea credit for the underwater technique, should you wish to enroll there

HSS: Aden's Gate, Harbormaster and the Minik Akrebi
Gideon replied to Mike S's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice house, that white/gold combination feels very much like the PoP sets...although the architecture feels more like medieval Europe. Which fits very well in the melting pot that is Kaliphlin, and especially the big trading cities of western Kaliphlin I also like the small ship a lot. Looking forward to seeing more of Aden's Gate! @Ska: With your sizeable collection I think you definitely should for a Thorshaven-style modular approach to Eastgate -
Nice color usage and very nice design of those bushes! You really make good use of those trans-medium blue plates btw
-
Nice fig backstories and compositions! Logan has to be my favorite, both for the selection of parts and the smart posing technique I'd love to see the house of Morgan!

No need to stick it yet, let's just plan ahead and keep talking so it doesn't get buried too deep

Not necessarily close the thread as suggestions for improvements are probably best put in this thread, but delete comments that are no longer relevant (e.g. first posts already updated or comment ignored) sounds like a good idea.

Check http://www.brickworld.us, I think you need to be a "full access" participant to be able to put builds on display.

Nice practice range, looks like stray arrows are not likely to hit someone behind the targets I like the wall design and its interior, but what are those sand green tiles? Looking forward to phase 3!

Great! Brickworld Chicago is June 14-15. The builds I mentioned were my idea of what to display at Skaerbaek, can't possibly fit that castle in my luggage and bring it to the US

Very nice scene, particularly the icebergs! The kayak is also a clever design. I assume Ettu is shivering less when he is busy paddling?

Thanks! It feels a bit weird though since this was not the MOC I had intended it to be, it's still missing the cliff and the ravine in that which I had intended to be the reason for the crubled wall Well, since I can hardly top this maybe I should put that time into some other MOCing instead? It was definitely inspired by Jerusalem (I was there 1½ years ago) since what I saw on that trip is an important part of the inspiration in general for my Kaliphlin MOCs.

Yes, a fellow Swebrick member texted me and told me to hurry up which was lucky since I was in the middle of travelling back to Sweden from a business trip and had not sat down with a computer in time otherwise. Thankfully, I could sign up using my phone as I was going from the airport It's tempting to bring something to represent the guilds, but as I'm travelling with my family there's a lot of luggage that's not mine and my wife already wants to do some serious shopping over there in addition to my bricks

A suitable phase 3 entry if you ask me! Lots of figures and nice details, the clearing of snow off the roof is my favourite Definitely UoP +1 for Life in Mitgardia and a slightly more reluctant +1 for Fortification. I agree with previous comments however that what's in this build is not quite enough to show 'mastery' of a roofing technique.

Nice figures and glimpses of different builds, I hope we get to see more of those! A presentation suggestion: I think the extra links below the pictures are a bit redundant, when adding pictures into a post you can delete those to get a better "flow" in the post.

Thanks! I've seen it a couple of times before but thought it was a third-party part. Added to my BL wanted list now!

Great layout with a lot of very nice details! I hope it got the attention it deserved at the convention

Nice houses, especially the one built against the wall. I also really like the hoardings on top of the wall as both the roofs and the dark red-reddish brown combo works really well. So generally, excellent build! A couple of content-related comments however: I had the impression that Sultan's Gate generally was not built of any significant amounts of wood as that would be very hard to transport there and therefore expensive. I also think that the gate looks a bit hard to close? I too would like to give you UoP +1 for the wall technique and for life in Kaliphlin. I have to agree however with Gabe that some tan plates is not enough to demonstrate mastery of desert landscaping. (As a comparision, I was also denied my UoP credit claim for desert landscaping in Collecting the Venom of a Red Scorpion)
