MOC Just a simple farmer in Mitgardia - Mitgardia Landscaping
soccerkid6 replied to Alfadas's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks pretty good, I like the bend in the river, the muddy section the pigs are playing in, and the rockwork There are two things I think could be improved: the water and pigsty are both higher than the grass around them, it looks more realistic to have rivers and mud puddles a little lower than the surrounding terrain -
Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated I was amazed at the number and quality of the MOCs entered

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Glad it peaked your interest, and hopefully the topic will be up sooner than later. It's such a large build it will probably take a little longer than normal to photograph, then to make the page for my website, etc. Glad you like it so far! Yup -
Cool build, I like the wooden section on top of the barracks and the training arena looks good Nice interior too, the bunks, table, and armor holders are all excellent details. A path from the barracks to the training arena might look nice, and I think if you added some small green plates to the green baseplate for some elevation changes it would look a bit better. Keep it up

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
@Infernum: Nice find! Here's a teaser pic of my build: I have a few more things to do on it, but I should be able to take pictures tomorrow or Saturday. So expect the finished product Sunday or Monday. -
@jeroenaa: As long as the build is placed in one of the warmer sections of Mitgardia, it's fine that it doesn't have snow. And yes you should give it a new thread, otherwise it won't count as a freebuild and people won't comment on it.

Kaliphlin vs. Mitgardia (Microfigure Tournament)

Cool vignette, I like how you use rubber bands so that the microfigs can hold weapons The tents and balcony thing (can't think of the proper word) look great -

Cool wall design and some neat little trees If you have the pieces I recommend adding some crenelations to the wall

ANNOUNCING: Guilds of Historica Book II: The Civil War
soccerkid6 replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Concerning the new Free Build Registration topic: should we add all our freebuilds since the beginning of Chapter II, or just every free build from now on? -
Quite the atmosphere in this build That bird design is really neat
-
The size alone is impressive, but add to that the incredible level of detail found throughout and you have an awe-inspiring layout All eight of you had tremendous builds and together they form the most impressive Castle collab I've seen yet Glad you guys got some good pictures of it all hooked together

The Settlers go to Historica – Part VI: Lettersmith
soccerkid6 replied to Yooha's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks great! The A and Z built into the building are neat and I like that the shed is angled off of the main building That little implement leaning against the Z looks really cool and matches your inspiration photo nicely- 10 replies

Neat window design and I like that you built a way for the soldiers to get to the wallwalk I think the battlements for the wall could be a bit higher, and made to look a bit more like crenelations. Another 1x4 brick on top of the slopes and 1x2 bricks, or more sets of 1x2 slopes on top of the ones already there would help.

I like the mix of dark bley and dark tan and the figs look good I'd suggest adding some more texture to the ground, either with 1x1 round plates or small dark tan and dark bley plates
-
Great landscape and a neat idea I do think you could have equipped the hunters a bit differently though, their pointy weapons don't seem like the best choice when trying to capture an eagle. Perhaps a net?

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
@Infernum: You're ahead of me then, I've been so busy with my current project I haven't done any preparing for Challenge I yet. It will be fun for sure! Any Mitgardians that are on the Nocturnus team let me know if you want to discuss the challenge more via PM (*cough*, secret battle strategies, *cough*). I can have up to 5 people in the same conversation. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Welcome to Mitgardia! Mitgardia's loyalties aren't divided whatsoever in this civil war, it's callend "The Battle for Nocturnus" for a reason. I'm guessing that most Mitgardians will make new characters to use for Challenge I as you plan to do. I think you can use pretty much whatever kind of fi you want. You definitely don't have to make a Drow fig if you don't want to.
