  1. @ZC: Woot! Both teams have a ton of amazing Castle builders. I can't wait to see the builds start pouring in I'm looking forward to starting on my builds now
  2. Impressive build! I really like the castle design, especially the towers flanking the drawbridge, how you used the prefab arch panel in the second floor of the castle, the well integrated tudor sections, and the little guard house The snow effect is also excellent You should definitely join Mitgardia: link Also check out the Colossal Castle Contest: link Your build would fit in the Miscellaneous category.
  3. Excellent build, the 4x4 rounds for a path is a really neat idea and one that I'll definitely borrow Cool figs and vegetation, the barracks looks good, but I'd add something in the blank section over the doors, maybe a Mitgardian flag or some crossed swords as its a barracks. And for future reference it's probably best to post Phase II builds before Phase III builds
  4. If you don't mind the opinion of a Mitgardian... Masters of Historica doesn't seem quite right for a Kaliphlin project, unless the project is open to all guilds.
  5. I like the roof and the SNOT window is neat I think the house would look better if it had more vertical wooden sections, instead of having four studs between supports (if you have the pieces) try switching to two studs for the most part
  6. Great woodwork on the building and I like the doorway and numerous vines climbing the walls The landscape looks pretty good, but I think some small green plates underneath the plants to give some height variation, would improve it
  7. The cabinet with the key on top is my favorite part the different furniture in the scene adds a lot
  8. Thanks! And indeed kids have much potential that is often wasted on TV/Computer/video games.
  9. Glad to hear you have a free build coming Looking forward to it! And I'm gonna have to get myself in gear to live up to my reputation The parts I ordered to replace the ones that still haven't arrived (the USPS is looking into it) arrived so it's full speed ahead on my project. I'm estimating 3-6 more days of building, then I have to photograph it Hopefully I'll be able to fit it in front of my backdrop, if not I may seek the help of some of you photoshop experts.
  10. Still looking forward to seeing how you portray Mitgardia I'm guessing something like an advent calendar?
  11. Lovely build, very 'Legonardo' I like that you added gables and frog at the peak works nicely. I'm going to have to try your roof design sometime, it looks amazing Tremendous rockwork and landscape too, it almost seems to mirror the shape of the cottage. Very much looking forward to your CCC builds, I'll be entering a few times myself
  12. The King's Hall looks great, that opening roof design is excellent Glad to hear your order arrived, and I'm looking forward to your next additions to the Troll's buildings
  13. Thanks! Thanks Matthew, glad you enjoyed it
  14. Nice inclusion of the Nocturnus colors and the bits of ruins here and there look pretty cool
  15. Thanks, and unfortunately I don't have a better picture of the sea serpent.
  16. For the two categories with size limits, would a border be considered a reasonable overhang? Or should the border be within the size limit?
  17. Thanks, the monster was the hardest part for him to build
  18. My younger brother, age 11, built this for the LEGO Castle Contest. The contest was to build something to help the crown knights defend their gatehouse against the attacking dragon knights. So he built a fake sea serpent for the crown knights' moat that scares off the attacking dragon knights: He would appreciate any C&C
  19. Seems like that kind of thing happens way too often... fortunately for me the camera I use has a rechargeable battery pack. Too bad.It looks like my package was lost, as according the tracking number it was planned to be delivered the 23rd, but after leaving the sorting center it still hasn't reached the local post office. I'm going to look into finding it, and I ordered the pieces again so they'll get here this week. But this is definitely going to slow down finishing the build. Now I'm aiming to post it around November 7th. I'll try and get everything done I can without the pieces so it doesn't slow me down too much.
  20. Excellent rockwork and I like the bits of dark green you added The pine trees in the back are also a nice touch and the fig's pose is great. I only have one suggestion: make where the water starts much more bubbly, so that it looks more like a spring
  21. Excellent build, the rock formation in the back corner looks great and the little pond is superb The packed snow behind Rasmus is a nice detail and I like the guy hiding in the rock formation
  22. Great figs! I really like how you mixed and matched the new torsos/legs from LOTR and the Hobbit
  23. Glad to hear that A BL order should have arrived two days ago, I'm hoping it wasn't lost Until it arrives I can't do too much on my build
  24. Thanks! And I used these for the angled plates: Thanks DC! And I would like to do a larger scene with this style landscape, probably won't be too long before I do Thank you
  25. Can't wait for GoH Challenge I and the CCC
