  1. Nordheim Village is up, check it out here:
  2. Legonardo inspired the roofs of the houses and Eklund inspired the roof on the well. I researched vikings a bit for this build and tried to make the houses historically accurate. There is only one room in each house and the deep benches serve both as seats and beds. Each house has a fire and a hole in the roof to let the smoke out. The children in the build are doing some of things most common for viking children: the boys haul water, learn carpentry, and practice fighting, while the girls help cook and weave wool. The village of Nordheim lies in the Clan Lands of Mitgardia: There are more pictures here: link All comments/criticism appreciated Also I'd like to receive UoP credits for: wall techniques (wooden walls) [architecture], village life [anthropology] = 2 credits
  3. Welcome to Mitgardia, Tomsche! I finished my build today, should have it posted by the end of tomorrow, most likely sooner
  4. Great use of those wedge pieces on the fortress :thumbup:The landscape looks appropriate for Nocturnus and I like the floor pattern in the building. It seems to me that the guard would hear someone coming in the door or poisoning food right underneath him. Neat idea for the category though
  5. That hut does look like it would be pretty chilly! Cool snow effects Has her shipment of goods not arrived yet?
  6. You captured the unusual feel of Radagast's house quite well There are many great details throughout the build, I especially liked the bird house, deer, beehives, and Radagast's sled
  7. I really like that rock formation and path is excellent Way to start things off for the Nocturnus team
  8. Cool barricade and I like that you included the Mitgardian colors
  9. Neat little cart and I like the goods he's selling, especially the rolling pin
  10. You did a good job recreating the first scene at an earlier time Nice use of the mime face too
  11. Welcome to the northern guild!
  12. Excellent foliage around the path and the figs' posings are very good Its great to see you fleshing out your characters backstory
  13. Thanks, and yes it will be a section of a village. Thank you, it's moving along pretty quickly. Yes it is, though the category it's for is probably different than you expect... Thanks Infernum, your build sounds great! Welcome to Mitgardia! Your character sounds really cool As for posting pictures, this topic should help: link (posting pictures from Flickr is pretty similar, but if you need help just let us know. And there are some more useful tutorials here: link Thanks Legonardo, not nearly as elaborate as your latest build, but I think it will turn out nicely. I'm going to try using one of your roof designs
  14. Excellent story and I like the ice dragon I think his wings look a little blocky though
  15. Splendid build, Legonardo! The snow effect is gorgeous and the roofline is sweet You incorporated the banners well and I like the brickbuilt crow insignia You keep upping your own game. Would you mind if I used this as the featured creation on my website?
  16. Thanks! And while I'm building the desk gets a bit more crowded I put away everything everytime I stop building so that when I'm done with a project I don't have to put a ton of parts away. The curved slopes are great for snow, the ones that slope in two directions are under the 'wedge' heading on BL. Just thought I'd mention that as it took me a while to find them
  17. He says he'll do 50% off shipping for international buyers (which is actually a bigger discount dollar wise than US buyers get).
  18. Here's what I'm currently working on: After I finish it, I think I'll start on some Challenge I stuff.
  19. I just ordered from the Bricklink Store "In Pieces," the owner loves seeing the Guilds' MOCs and so gave me free shipping and said he'd be happy to do the same for anyone else from the Guilds (for orders over 15$). He has quite a few useful castle parts, good prices, and excellent service. Here's a link to the store: In Pieces
  20. Wonderful landscape and that tree design looks really neat Any hints on how it was accomplished? The little cabin is excellent and fits Mitgardia perfectly. The training dummies are some of the best I've seen and I like how you included food and drink at the training ground
  21. I like how you used the rounded plates for the corners of the build and the grave and tree are great
  22. As soon as you posted the first section I knew this was going to be something special, and it just keeps getting better I hope you give us some good pictures of the behind the wall modules soon (and the wall too, from what I see it looks pretty neat)
  23. Nice selection of leaves Excellent vignette, the rocks look excellent as does the tree
  24. I decided a while ago to prioritize interiors, so usually my buildings only have one thick walls (which makes it a little trickier to texture the walls and do windows etc., if it is a good sized building I like to do 2 stud thick walls because of the greater flexibility they allow) to give me the most space inside. Usually my curtain walls are 3-4 studs thick, which isn't too terribly narrow considering how short my walls generally are.
