  1. You couldn't have come back at a better time Nocturnus has just about whatever kind of figs you can think of, you could check out the Tribes minichallenge to get some ideas
  2. Challenge I for Book II has been posted. Check it out here: Challenge I, then get ready to start building. We want to make sure Mitgardia is well-represented!
  3. Sign me up! Great storyline and challenges, the builds are also spectacular I'm looking forward to building some Nocty stuff Also thanks ZC for offering brick built trophies as prizes
  4. I like the snow on the roof much better here than in your Store build Excellent stables too, the black and reddish brown go well together. As a few others said, the main stables blends into the ground a bit, even just a path or something right along the front of the stables would break up the reddish brown
  5. Excellent! Your landscape style works perfectly for Nocturnus and the tower has many great details: the windows and door designs, the dome, and the neat stonework The sticks with chains near the entrance are a nice detail
  6. I really like the building, for interiors! And the patches of snow on the ground look very good. I like the idea of snow drifting off the roof, but looks a little blocky and the dark bley tiles to hold it on look rather out of place. Deviet built this great fortress that has some neat snow effects on the roof: Something like that, though not quite as heavy would good here, I think
  7. For your Phase II build I like the little stands that hold the archer's quivers and the cheese slopes and tiles scattered on the ground make it feel almost like a courtyard The 2 wide bricks around the sides and back look a little odd to me, are they supposed to be walls? The Phase III build has some really neat details, the targets the archers shoot at, the path to the small building, and the figs' posing However much of the build seems rather bare, as mpoh said, it looks like you had both of these builds together at the same time. If so I'd recommend only doing one build at a time so you can use all your pieces in it. I still do that most of the time Also both builds photography could use some improvement, I think your background is all right, just make sure you keep the build in front of it so we don't see around the background. mpoh had some good suggestions on how to improve your pictures. Just so you know for the future, the idea of AoM is to build a phase, receive input and suggestions, then improve the phase you had posted or at least pay attention to the suggestions for the next phase. So you shouldn't really post two phases at once
  8. Good to see another of your dwarve sculptures, as always you captured the look of the character very well I especially like the backpack used as a pouch and his face came out great
  9. It's fantastic to see another Kaliphlin build from you, Gabe. This has all that I've come to expect of your MOCs, a wonderful colorscheme, just the right amount of different textures and decorations, and difficult angles/shapes pulled off beautifully The dome is magnificent, I don't recall seeing a dome with an interior and exterior built out of LEGO before. The two towers have a really neat shape and your use of those large 'wing' plates in the design is fantastic The floor pattern is incredible and the curtains by the entrance are a great touch. Always fun seeing multiple sig figs in a build and there are plenty of them here
  10. Irregular borders done with wedge and curved plates definitely take a lot of said plates. Your base looks very good and the figs' posings are excellent, neat touch with the barrels behind the riders, are they supposed to be bedrolls?
  11. I don't usually end up buying sets unless they have a pretty significant discount, but Mirkwood Elf Army looks like an amazing parts pack and some great figures I actually like the hoods better than elf hair
  12. Yes you should post Phase II before Phase III
  13. The windmill and texture of the roofs are what stood out to me most The sails on the windmill and the roof are both great. I like how the storage building is slightly lifted off the ground as well. One of my favorite builds from your Settlers series
  14. Nice improvements! I really like the way you arranged the grass stalks among the green and bley plates, and the curving wall (which I didn't notice in the first pics because of the low angle) looks fantastic
  15. That does look better, Purr The path to the target looks better and I like that you filled in the center of it. Keep paying attention to suggestions and you'll be a great MOCer in no time
  16. Thanks Captain Don't worry, I won't hold it against you
  17. Always fascinating to read about the design process that goes into your builds You really did manage to capture the look of a troll building and this looks like it would be a blast to play with
  18. Glad to have you again, and I'm looking forward to seeing your MOCs Well I think I finally caught up with commenting on MOCs, there's been an awful lot of them lately
  19. Nice use of the tomahawk accessory! I also really like how you used small leaves along the top of the wall Excellent build all around
  20. You really captured the feel/look of a cathedral The pillars, arches, floor pattern, and back wall are all excellent
  21. Excellent landscape and the Ungolian looks creepy
  22. Once again some spectacular fig combos The one on the far right is my favorite, is that torso from the Mandarin?
  23. Amazing build Some of my favorite sections/details: the round tower incorporated into the keep, roofs on the tudor sections, the dark bley outlines on the battlements, rockwork, the dark red leaves climbing the keep, and beautiful fall colors The only thing I think that could be cooler: change the bridge so that one end of it is a draw bridge, pretty much just add chains to one section of it. Looking forward to the next part of Chapter 2
  24. The irregular base works very well and I like the path Neat cactus and the collapsed pillar is a great touch
  25. The lime green 1x1 round plates on the trees and grass look great Nice use of the leaf sprue as well
