  1. I realised I had a spelling mistake in my comment. I said 'too' much, rather than 'so' much, and it may have made my comment seem negative, which it wasn't intended to be. My apologies, and again it is a wonderful moc.
  2. I was considering purchasing set 60276 Prisoner Transport and modifing it into a command vehcile or something similar, to make it more realistic, however as I looked more at teh set, I realised that there would be so many improvements I would wish to make that I might as well make my own version, which I did. My version of 60276: It has front wheels which steer, plus separate suspension for the cabin and the back, courtesy of the system used in 31104, which I have upgraded and modified. It can rotate to the left and right at the midpoint as well, and tilt forward and back. Demonstrating the steering. The back is detailed as well, there is a tool rack (not visible), computer and television (also not visible). Thank you for viewing my MOC.
  3. I agree, but what I reckon would be even better would be to have a set like the original 2010 Public transport set released, and updated with a similar length cycle as the town centre/city centre/capital city/main square sets. That I would buy. I would like to see an ambulance doctor car (like the 2006 one), to hopefully expand the range of ambulance torso pieces. Something that said 'doctor', 'paramedic' or 'ambulance' on the back instead of the star of life, which isn't used as regularly outside of the US.
  4. Thank you for your review @Jim. And for the excellent photographs of the sets. I agree the sidewalks could be improved. I don't have any modulars so I have no problems with height, and my city is built between 1 and 2 bricks high so they are easily integrated regardless of sidewalks.
  5. I think that would be a very obvious microfighter set, we've had a dewback vs escape pod, skyhopper vs bantha and now a tauntan vs at at. It would be a logical next machine vs beast microfighter.
  6. That is a brilliant MOC overall. I don't use ideas much, but I will definitely support your build. There is too much detail and great usage of parts throughout the build (the bench, the telephone booth, teh post office box, the roof, the sidewalk, the curtains), but I think the overall attention to detail is what is so fantastic.
  7. The detail overall is brilliant, but I love that tree in particular, I know it is only a small part of the MOC, but it is nicely done. Its great to see the attention to detail on the walls of the farmhouse.
  8. Looks amazing, the detail is superb, especially on those windows.
  9. I'd appreciate any nice tree. I think the only proper trees to feature in City were in the 2012 fire theme and one in the 2015 city square. A giraffe would seem likely, but I hope some attention is given also to some Australian animals, such as a kangaroo, which lend themselves nicely to the wildlife rescue schematics. Same, that would be the only incentive for me. Unless there is a new interesting kangaroo mould, unlike 1hy, the 2hy Star Wars sets will be more enticing for me than City.
  10. That looks great. The detail, especially in the rockwork, is brilliant. You've captured a lot of great detail in Obi-Wans hut and the Mos Eisley area too. The moisture farms are quite nice designs as well.
  11. I agree. They were willing to redesign a perfectly good (and still readily available) 212th airborne trooper figure, so why not invest in a figure more people want? the grievous fighter should have had another figure for the insane price.
  12. That is incredible. It is my favourite ship in the SW universe and you've done it extremely well. You've captured the smooth angles perfectly. The detail is fabulous, and while it isn't part of the ship, that is a very nice display stand too! I took a look at some of your other designs, they are fabulous as well. I was intrigued to see what the MC80a and b you mentioned in your post looked like and they are equally fantastic.
  13. Amazing as always, you've outdone yourself again. The level of detail is fabulous. The detail on the asteroid in the last picture is perfect.
  14. Hi all, this is my first review of a product on Eurobricks. I have decided to first review 60291: Family House. There has already been a video review of this same set on this forum, by Pchan1983, a much more experienced (and better) reviewer. It was his review that convinced me to get this set. I have taken notice of many things he pointed out in his review (such as the illusion of depth of the building from the L-shape). This set comes with 5 numbered bags, plus a bag with a 16x16 road plates, a plain 8x16 road plates, a 16x16 LBG plate, a green 8x16 plate and two 6x16 LBG plates. It contains four minifigures, a male with regular legs, a female with regular legs, a female with the short posable legs and a male with the child legs. The outside: Overall, this is a very nice set. The clever L-shape on the bottom level gives depth without really having to increase the depth of the actual floors. The solar panels are very nicely done, they sit flush with the roof tiles and look very realistic. The colour scheme is exceptional, the medium nougat, trans-blue, white and dark blue, with the light green plants, complement each other nicely. The deck incorporates a simple but effective barbeque, which again, does the job, but could be improved. The road plate to me is a positive, it connects to the other road plates and works well enough. It is good to have a surface for the hockey equipment. My only issue is the LBG connections for the hockey equipment, when a 2x3 DBG tile and 1x2 DBG plate could've done the job. The first floor incorporates a kitchen and living room, the ninjago tie-in is fabulous and the kitchen is alright. From the rear the carport can be seen, nothing fancy but it does the job. I won't reject the trans-blue panel piece, but its use isn't really necessary since the above floors are open backed anyway. The first floor has bathroom and a playroom, I suppose. In the bathroom is a sticker with an unconvincing towel print and a sign reading 'wash your hands'. Hmmm, a tap might help with that. On the other side of teh wall is a sticker with drawings pegged on the wall, and space for a guitar, paintbrush and bucket and what I think is a speaker. The top floor has a bedroom with further ninjago tie-ins, such as a katana and a poster. It is the first appearance of this katana piece in City since 2013, when a gold piece featured in the museum break in. The radio and statue are also nice touches. It is obviously the male child minifigures room. The level of detail is appropriate for a city set. The window uses three trans-blue 1x2x1 bricks. A 1x2x3 brick would've been neater The outside incorporates a small tool rack, picnic table, adorned with a water bottle and hot dog, vegetable garden, a bath for the dog, a dog poo and a car charging station, which goes well with the solar panel. The picnic table is simple but effective and detailed. The garden is equally simple but looks good. The car is my least favourite part of the set. I feel that the blue and white colour combination, with the black rrof works well, but teh blue wheels are overkill. The windscreen piece works well too, but clashes with the roof and front of the car. The back of the canopy is not well done, nor is the detail and headlights on the front. The figures are stereotypical, but very well done in my opinion. Nothing is unique, except for the beanie and hair piece, but the two children's torsos are relatively new and only appear in two and three sets. The reddish brown male hair piece is not common also. The roller skate pieces and other hockey equipment is also a nice addition and completes the set, but a think a red helmet for the boy would be better, to match the skates. Using a 1x1 round tile for the puck is very clever. The new labrador mould is fantastic. It joins its reddish brown cousin as two new dog figures for 2021. It could be a golden retriever, but it is used for a chocolate labrador in 60292, so I will call it a labrador. I am biased though, as the owner of a labrador, so I want it to be a labrador. I hope we get a black one soon. The dog poo piece is a clever addition. In summary, this is a nicely detailed and complete set. I feel that the detail is adequate for a city set, but it could be improved. The car is the let down, but it is compensated by the figures and accessories. I give it a four out of five rating.
  15. That looks quite good. Frankly, I don't care if there are some studs, it is better to sacrifice that than to not have a gentle and clean curve, which you've achieved. I like the use of the tube pieces to fill in the gaps.
  16. Well I would buy it. I think had the monorail theme been on the 90th anniversary poll, it would've won.
  17. Don't worry, the same debate has occurred on the SW forum.
  18. About 800 people survived, mainly thanks to the brave crew and passengers of the Carpathia, who raced to assist. I realise you meant they are dead now, but it could be possible that children or grandchildren of those on the ship could still be alive. I would suggest saying that the over 2.1 million deaths from Covid is 'sh*t happening' may be insensitive, especially to the millions of families that have lost loved ones. To be fair, that is the number of fatal shootings, not murders, and to suggest that the cases where police have unlawfully murdered people (which is very prevalent and not addressed properly) is also 'sh*t happening' is disrespectful to those who campaign for change and those who have been on the receiving end of police violence, as well most police officers. But I actually completely agree with you, including any iceberg is unnecessary, but the colosseum has been made into a set, and many thousands of people were murdered there, as well as millions of animals killed. Police stations are also a very good example, while gun violence and isn't as prevalent outside of the US, TLG has placed a gun in a minifigure pack (albeit swiftly removing it) and the latest police sets have included crooks with dynamite. Considering such explosives are pretty much akin to bombs or IEDs, they are not exactly the most sensitive inclusions in a set, and these are playsets, not 18+ sets, which the titanic would probably be. Ambulance and fire sets also have connotations of death too, as do castle, pirates and viking sets, all of which are mainly playsets too. I am looking forward to it too, if it is less than $200 US, it shouldn't be unattainable here either, and it would make a great display model. Hopefully we get a lot of ship though for the price tag. Something between 30-45cm would be ideal and not unrealistic. Even though I probably won't attempt to purchase the set, it would be a good inspiration for small scale boat mocs. No worries, I just wanted to briefly rationalise the opinions provided on this forum. As a person who has experience in healthcare the Covid part of the comment I couldn't ignore. I will happily remove if you request. But more on topic, do we reckon it will be a full hull, or a waterline model?
  19. It gets weirder, https://railgallery.wongm.com/adelaide-obahn-recovery/. That is the vehicle used for towing any of the O'bahn buses if they break down.
  20. That's a great build. Looking forward to the next video also.
  21. I don't think that it has been discussed yet. I anticipate that there would be some polybag releases, but with there already being three small stunt motorbike sets it would be difficult to devise something small and interesting for the Stunt Theme polybags. The wildlife rescue polybags would be a good way to get any new animal mould cheaply. If they are released with good new moulds I will be heading down to Australia Post first thing, as they are the only place I have found polybags outside of Lego stores.
  22. That is interesting, I haven't heard of it before, and I am an Australian! I am already devising ways of MOC-ing it now.
  23. I have only ordered twice (I think) off bricklink, and about four or five years ago. I have made one Bricks and Pieces order since.
  24. Spot on there, and it will only get worse once the final result comes in. We only have to look at what happened with the SW poll, and in that it was only Star Wars fans voting, so everyone sort of got what they wanted, yet it is still debated and argued over. Here not everyone will get what they want, and bionicle seems to be focused target of the debates on these forums, over the other system themes which will also prevent some people preferred theme from being made.
  25. That is understandable, exo force was more mechs built to accompany a ninifigure based theme, whereas other mech sets are derived from contraction themes (such as the last hero factory wave) and don't make sense as much. Also, Exo force wasn't really marketed as mechs (although they were/are), more 'exoskeletons', and vehicles, unlike those in themes such as ninjago, hence it feels apart from the idea of the 'mech'. Now that makes me wonder, Why wasn't exo-force included in this survey, I mean, it co-existed with, and ended before, bionicle (yeah, I'll bring that up again) so surely it should be included as it was from the same time.
