  1. I was just about to make an addendum to that post too, the city leaks are also preliminary images and it will probably be some time for proper leaked images. So SW should then be even further away, with the exception of the helmets.
  2. Almost all of the summer city sets have leaked now, so we might have earlier leaks this year.
  3. That is an incredible MOC, the overall detail is fantastic, and the attention to little details is great, like the integration of the ladder pieces so they are flush with the sides of the MOC, and the bars on the side of the legs. The front windscreen is probably my favourite part and looks great. The gear mechanism appears very complex and works well.
  4. Wow, I like the blue road plates, will be good for bus or bike lanes, and water as intended
  5. That looks great. I appreciate the subtle angle on the wings, and the wing edges are nice and smooth.
  6. That looks great, the angles are perfect and I really like the balance of studs and tiles. More studs than most MOCs, but for this MOC it really works, especially with the smooth surfaces on the sides.

    LEGar ...

Was it the stickers on the model that they didn't allow or just the graphic in the top corner? If you removed the Lego, Octan and City from the badge it should be fine, many other builds are accepted with Lego stickers. Ideas rules are that any Lego brand logo is acceptable as long it is an aesthetic part of the build. That said, it is a great build and can stand on its own: you've captured the Octan theme without stickers through the great design and colour choices.
  8. I think as an individual city set it might not go well as it is aimed at KFOLs primarily: but in a modular set, where it would both fit well and get the attention to detail and design it deserves. But as you said in a larger set where it accompanies something else it could work really well. I would probably purchase if it were an individual set though. It would be great to see a harvester with the tractor and trailer to go alongside it, and maybe a small silo too. A dairy set with a large number of cows (by which I mean maybe four and maybe a calf) would be great, if it also included a milk truck (as in a tanker semi-trailer), milk silo and milking equipment, and perhaps a small milk van too. A cattle/sheep truck would also be great.
  9. I see your point, I suppose the classic space could accompany a classic set of any theme, especially as it is a 90th anniversary set primarily and the theme it represents is second, so the GWP, as you said could represent another separate classic theme.
  10. Looks quite good to me, and it is certainly an improvement over the set
  11. I am not saying that it is definite, I agree I could be totally wrong, however GWPs normally match the product in some way (though you're right in that they don't have to or don't always), and unlike most other ideas competitions this will eventuate in a set. The castle competition tied in with the release of the blacksmith set, which could be a further indication, same way the ninjago contest tied in with teh release of the city garden and 10 year anniversary. It is just the only clue we have had so far, and I think the progression from POBB to Blacksmith to a space set, in TLG's thinking will probably be seen as the best way to please everyone. I am starting to warm to the idea of both a bionicle and system set, and it could be a possibility. TLG have shown by adding castle to the second vote that they listen to what people are saying about them, so it could happen.
  12. That looks great, does your model have some sort of mechanism so the rotors can change position in unison? It is great to see the landing gear and ramp incorporated too.
  13. That's an amazing build, all of the small details are great and I really like the tiled surfaces and the height variations on the base. The building is great, and the tank with all its little details like the wall around it and the handrail on teh gantry are astounding. If I had a train layout, which a lot of others do, I would certainly buy the instructions.
  14. That's an astounding build. The figures are perfectly positioned to tell the story and I agree the domed building is also great.
  15. Looks great, I like the incorporation of all the things hanging over the alleyway, it looks good. That is also a brilliant water technique, and the weathered streets and wall, as well as all the pipes and railing, work well.
  16. The detail overall is great, and the technique for the 1 on the floor is genius. The intricacy of the scaffolding is also brilliant. Does the TIE bomber also have wings, not shown in the picture? But it is a great rendition of the ship regardless
  17. It looks great, especially the floor technique and the tiled surfaces overall look great. It is always interesting and inspiring to see the different combination of head, hairpiece, torso and leg pieces using official TLG parts to create new civilian figures.
  18. I think Space has won. My reasoning: there is a competition on ideas for a space GWP: https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/3a0cb2a7-395f-400c-8e0b-c3428041a8fe?challenge_phase=efcb2715-a636-4546-aa4e-3bb24a504cad&query=&sort=top What other set could this be a GWP with, considering GWPs normally accompany 18+ Creator Expert or Star Wars sets. I would assume the winner would not make its way to shelves until next year so it seems logical. I am not making a call or anything, but it seems like a massive clue.
  19. They're very understanding. I remember I ordered the detective office set and when it didn't turn up (through absolutely no fault of Lego) they sent a new one, and even with the GWP which had expired at that stage.
  20. Hopefully something more akin to 7743, or the 2011 and 2014 versions, which I think were better aesthetically than the 2016 version. A small police station would be good, or maybe a small crooks hideout. I guess, if that is what it is, there would be a police motorbike and a 4 wide crooks vehicle, which has been the standard since 2011, but I think the overall composition of the 2008 set with the building was better and could make a return. I am guessing it won't be a helicopter transporter since we had one of those last year (and it wasn't very popular) and a better one in 2014.
  21. I thought about doing that some time ago (but sadly my copy of the set, is well, ah, no longer with us in complete form). I thought about using the 12v track, but since that is designed to be 6 wide rather than 4 I don't think this would work, at least for curves, but for straight the track would work certainly. If I am correct the rails in that mine are a newer version of the 12v rail track. (part 3228c, the 12v were 3228a and there was a b version to) Since your not averse to using older parts, you could use the 4 wide train tracks, https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=85976#T=S&O={"iconly":0}. I think you should be able to connect them to the parts in the set somehow, to reduce the cost.
  22. Lego Ideas is based on the idea, and showing loosely how it an be constructed, very rarely does an ideas set actually resemble the ideas submission. More often then not, the ideas are built in bricks to test by the most serious designers (who 10000 ideas usually come from) but renders are submitted for recolours and because many ideas are based on licensed products and people feel necessitated to have new minifigure prints. I'm not against licensed ideas, since normally the builds are quite advanced and stand on their own legs regardless, though I do prefer the builds that are original or based on TLG IP.
  23. Looks great, I like the statue, and a simple yet clever hologram design.
  24. That's great, the levitating figure looks nice and that's a genius leg technique The rockwork is nicely done.
  25. Looks great, I like the use of the balloon piece. The colours work well together.
