  1. Mine didn't have any. The lady I asked said they were sold out. I didn't see pegs/prices anywhere, so I wonder if they even put them out yet. Another TRU next town over said they might put them out Friday... Another reason why I hate TRU. No consistency. Plus prices suck. I rarely get to TRU here mostly because I hate it and it is really out of the way for me. So methinks I went be getting this poly unfortunately. And I will not feed into the absurd prices online.
  2. Keep the gatling gun while playing some weird Al in the background. The night Santa went crazy!
  3. I was going to say that looks like Green Goblin's headpiece also. Which means, they could be coming out with him in a Spidey set sometime in the future. Forest Maiden and Endor Leia had the same hairpiece. That Agents helmet could be cross-themed too with the Trooper, but maybe in a different color? As in the one posted is clearly from Agents, but another one will be in CMF. Similar to Galaxy Squad's robot sidekicks and then the good mech/evil mech in CMF using similar style headpieces and armor. As it stands, I will be bulk buying goblins...it now just depends on face print. If it is too cartoony, I may end up passing other than a few. If it is a little more sinister, I will bulk buy. That will kill my budget next year, especially at the new price point. But it might be worth it.
  4. ^With the above, it does make me wonder if a second modular would sell well. As in, they have the standard yearly Modular release. I know a lot of people on this forum would buy a second modular if they liked it enough, but I wonder if it would hurt sales of the official/non IDEAS Modular? As it stands, I will buy basically all Modulars from LEGO designers. I have no interest in the IDEAS Modulars so far, unless LEGO really tweaked how they looked. Obviously, the one sale to me isn't going to determine how viable that offering would be, but I'd assume others are similar. We have a limited LEGO budget and may not like the IDEAS version and would then not buy it. Yes, it is true they have sales data that will help them determine viability, but that sales data won't take into consideration people like me who want a lot of variety of sets, but not enough money to cover it all.
  5. Those look impressive. Are they larger than the previous version?? they look so. If that is how they turn out, I will definitely be picking up this series..hopefully the price won't be ridiculous.
  6. Think about the problem if they did release some version of Minas Tirith via IDEAS..If they include the right figures and at a decent price, people may want to buy multiples. IDEAS sets are limited releases PLUS they usually have a limitation on how many can be purchased...I fear a lot of people would still be upset, even if they did release it. Look at the outrage fans have given for Exo Suit and Research Institute... LEGO can't win either way.
  7. I think the figures come straight from LEGO. They supply a certain number of prizes for certain contests on a lot of big forums. Just another way TLG shows their appreciation for the fans. Although, since I'm not directly involved, I have no idea of the actual source and if it is a secret I'd hate to give it away. Either way, I will be entering again. It's a great time of the year to be a LEGO fan!
  8. I think I read somewhere that it says pick up in store only?? It doesn't do people like me any good that don't live anywhere near a store. As far as the rest of the deals, with the success of the LEGO movie, I see deals less and less. People are just simply buying more LEGO now. TLG doesn't need to work as hard since its brand image is so universal, especially now. I hope they surprise us though...
  9. I said before the PR came around, I wanted to see a modular in a light yellow. But specifically I said I wanted the new cool yellow from friends. I wonder which shade of yellow this will be. Interesting. And a brown baseplate. Goes with the other new colors they have been giving us.
  10. I love this raffle. Thanks again for doing it CopMike! And to TLG of course.\ So it looks like no maximum size limits on the MOC? Just a minimum of 2 pieces. I'll have to get to thinking about what I want for Christmas (outside of LEGO of course!)
  11. I saw those baseplates on brickset a while ago. I wonder what size they will be? Since they have three of similar size. And at that price ppoint, you'd expect them to all be 48x48 which will be neat instead of just light bley. Granted, I don't love the price on the large baseplates. Last I saw 18 or 19$ at TRU..ridiculous.
  12. I assumed the beard was the one just stated above. I don't see why they'd make a mold similar to that beard and attach it to a crown that they could never use again. I think they will be separate. As far as the evil wizard, he can be seen on the box in the picture on that website. It is a small picture, but he definitely has the wizard/dracula cape in a dark color.
  13. Well done. Very clever build. I really like the large guitar. It fits. The first floor windows are great. I love the snot bricks along the lowest part by the windows. The interior looks great. I have only been to one in D.C. and that was back in high school over 10 years ago, so I don't really remember it, but I'd imagine it would look something like this. I don't love the upper windows as much, but the rest is really clever. I could see it in someone's layout no problem. The color scheme of PC works well for this too.
  14. Very clever build. I like how it all came together. I have a hard time justifying customization, but I have seen a few over the past few years that I'd love to own. It would be neat if LEGO came with bigfigs that you could customize (obviously not paint) but have variations of arms/colors and head prints/hair/helmets or something to help mix it up. That would be neat. Not constraction figures, actual bigfigs. Outside of different printing, the molds could be re-used considerably.
  15. Very clever build. I like the access inside. Definitely useful parts of a castle. I keep trying to build a castle and I want to include everything in it, but I keep having difficulty. I'm too torn on what I want, a fortress or more of a living quarters type castle. Keep up the good work!
  16. The nice thing about PSA, you can repurpose Legolas and Gimli if you are into that. Yes, you get multiples of them across the theme, but you can reuse them as other Elves/Dwarves, if need be. With the Hobbit Dwarves, it's harder to repurpose them with their specialized headpieces. Plus, Oathbreakers FTW...they work in other areas too. Halloween MOC anyone?
  17. We just received our order a few weeks ago, even though it was ordered in early January. Felt too long. By the time we received them I was not excited about them anymore. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if I'll do it again. As far as those details, I hadn't heard those before. I didn't count anything, so I assumed everything was there. But I didn't know they had a policy to not send any replacements. I guess the little old ladies in the factory measure everything and what they say is correct. TLG do not want people taking advantage of them (even in times when it clearly is their mistake). That happens a lot with BnP or regular sets I buy.
  18. Interesting concept. I think it is well executed, although It feels weird being built up instead of more spread out. So that definitely adds a unique factor to this. Plus, the lights help. I want to do a Rivendell, but I don't think I'll attempt anything like this. Too much money Have fun building future projects.
  19. I would expect new molds also, although since they JUST came out with a Dinosaur theme, it does seem silly to use up more money on molds again.. Granted, with it being a license, they will cover the costs with higher prices
  20. More Batman count me in. Although I hate buying DVDs just for a figure. But it's sad when you can buy that cheaper than just the figure by itself... I had never heard of this character before, yet I will still pick it up. I think that says something. LEGO knows what it is doing.
  21. If it involves Batman, I'm in. Something of this scale and detail, I'm more than in. Very well done! I love all of the details. I'd love to make my own version of the batcave, but I don't know if I have space/bricks to do so. But I will check back to this for inspiration.
  22. Very well done. I like the details present. The recolorings are nice, if only LEGO would produce them in other sets to make this. I highly doubt this would ever pass with a dying license, but I wish you the best.
  23. I think that's why I suggested nougat color as opposed to a bright color. I think Modulars have that fun feel to them, while still trying to portray real life architecture. A museum (to most people) is rather boring. I don't mind going to them myself, but they would need a nice looking exterior.
  24. Thanks for this. I get the same response! My wife said "I'm buying you presents this year, only a little bit of LEGO!" Aaaghhhh.. silly. I think she wants to give me something special and useful instead of more LEGO bricks. Understandable, but when the only thing I want is LEGO, it makes it more difficult. My mom buys me LEGO for my Christmas/Birthday and I just order it myself to get VIP points/freebies. She just tells me a total $. You'd think it would be easy, but at the same time, there are certain sets I have no interest in and some I really want. So I'd hate to be surprised with something I don't want. So I usually just ask for money to buy them myself. Who needs surprises?
  25. Even if these are rehashes, it doesn't matter. People like me didn't get any of the 2009 sets, plus having the Bluecoats available now, will be an interesting change. I welcome it. I will definitely pick up the entire wave, which doesn't happen too often.
