  1. With the new 3L pin introduced in the Darth Vader Meditation Chamber this is now kind of possible. Might be able to fool people who don't know that part exists tho lol
  2. @howitzer that would be nice to see indeed. Normal liftarms have one direction that bends more easily than the other. Flip Flop beams bend about as much as the weaker direction of a normal beam in both directions, at least it feels like it. I compared CADA to CADA, but LEGO to LEGO should behave about the same. But my test is not scientific in any way, I just tried to how easy it is to bend with my hands
  3. I don't think there will be more flip flop beams used than normal ones to build strong frames. Flip flop beams are awesome, they allow for new strong connections. But that is only useful in certain places, like edges or sth like that. Additionaly, flip flop beams arn't as strong as normal ones. They bend more easily.
  4. Looks way better than the A-model. Looks amazing, especially for the limited parts selection it was built from. Only problem I have with that is that it means there is still no diff Thx for sharing
  5. @astyanaxI am not trying to pull the pin out using a bar, but to mount a bar permanetly without spinning. Still, that is a very nice trick to know

  7. Okay, I need some quick feed back. While making building instructions I have of course made a few changes regarding structural integrity and ease of assembly. But I have made some further improvements to the bodywork as well. This is an alternative to my previous solution regarding the curved 3x13 panels used on the roof. 1 Stud row was missing, I am sure many before me faced this problem. What do you think looks better? Old (right) or New (left) solution? Also, if you know of any better way to solve this problem please let me know :D Gray Gear

  9. How did I miss this? I am on this forum a few times a day for sure, and this gem still slipped through Very nice creation, a lot better looking that the A-Model. (And I am not saying that because the A-Model looks ugly imo). Reminds me a bit of Japanese Kei-Car vans, they are small and cute like this too
  10. @pleegwat I thought so too, but in those cases it be better to just make these axles and pins in new lentghs. That would exite me. Axle with stop in 6L, 7L have been long overdue imo

  12. If that is indeed true isn't it also very likely that the new "ecological" parts will age faster that the old ones? I would hate that. My choice would be to go 100% china bricks. I am happy this pin problem doesn't affect me. I only use a certain pins from china, which are stiffer and stronger than their LEGO counterparts. And they are straight too
  13. Exactly. I see you are using Bricksafe already. Once you have that figured out what can go wrong? (On PC)
  14. Yes, the vehicle is probably so light and small that wheels are still the better choice, being simpler and probably faster. If you go up in weight tracks will probably get more effective than wheels
  15. Not a beauty for sure, but an interesting idea. Odd choice with the wheels tho, normally you would choose tracks over wheels for snow driving
  16. @Jurss yeah a equal number length will be a disatvantage in most cases. But it may be an advantage for some edge cases... @Zerobricks Are you sure the axle holes are 2 studs deep on each side? I just assumed they'd be only 1 stud deep
  17. Looking good! Can you show where the battery box is hidden? I can't even find it, so, well done! Only a bit slow for my taste. Using the training wheels you could even pull some drifts with more power
  18. Someone found a use for this thing yet? Seems like someone glued 3 connectors together lol not really useful unless you want to pull on the axle holes...

  21. Well done, congrats that you finished it! Following the WIP thread was interesting. I like the modular design and the different engine/transmission options, very cool. The bodywork style is not for me tho, I prefer a closed body with as few holes as possible. It is a style choice, some will like it, others won't.
  22. Which is not very likely to happen IMO. Regarding wheel and tire sizes chinese brands still use the same measurements as TLG. One the one hand that is good because things are interchangable (like the cool CADA supercar tires), but on the other hand they use the same faulty sizes as TLG instead of making something more realistic. If you are very lucky there is a RC tire that will fit, but do RC bikes in this size even exist?
  23. You are missing a small brick section under the left winglet on the front bumper I once took a lot of cool photos and noticed afterwards that one mirror was folded in and it was really bothering me, so I thought I'd point this out
  24. Looks awesome! Did you do any testing with real bricks during the design? Especially the wings on large aircraft like this have a tendency to bend or be unstable, which cannot be felt while building digital only.
