Looks great! Not as colorful, but consistent and good choice of consistent colors.

Wow - the picture a the window is amazing - the lighting is great and you can see your awesome stone techniques and decorations up close! I like the vines on the back too - a bit more colorful than most, but what I like more are the brown pieces uses as the branches behind it all.

[NCW] Rendezvous at Slime Bay - Enter the Algus!
jtooker replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
The difference between the story shots and the well-lit overall shot are quite different. The well lit shot makes the place look very pretty while the darker shots convey a sense of foreboding (which match the story). It is still nice to have the lighter shots to enjoy the techniques of your MOC - the water especially looks good. Great job on the boat. The slight curves are terrific. -
You certainly captured the feel and look of Kaliphlin! Great MOC. I especially like the jug on the left. The ground technique is interesting too and works well here. The lighting is terrific!

Neat build and great use of non-human figures. I like the colors you choose for the walls.

[MOC] "The Lord of the Rings" skylines
jtooker replied to thenightman89's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wonderful job creating these micro builds! Amon Sûl is terrific. Edoras is spot on and the ents are fun. -
Petraean Alley Some say black oil is the most precious resource in Kaliphlin, but if you look at where people live, you’ll see it is water. Tall buildings line the the narrow streets and alleyways of Petraea. Crowded cities arise around the scarce sources of water in this desert land.

Terrific castle! I love the colors and the stone patterns. The greenery and border frames the castle well. Great job!

Great details - it is fun to see some 'normal' medieval life in a MOC! Great figure choices.

[MOC] Magda's Garden Shed (or the Shed with the Tree)

Wonderful and detailed MOC! I'm really enjoying the behind the scenes post on your website. -
No, I haven't got a second copy yet

Nice MOC and story. Having a sunset is a nice variation on more typical backgrounds (either blue sky or black/white/gray backdrops).
-
Great concept and follow-through. The doorway is terrific and the landscaping on each side contrasts with the other quite well.

[MOC] Black Monarch's Ghost (#6034) revisited
jtooker replied to Samarth's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
First, the set number in your title should be 6034. Great MOC - especially the minifigure running away - great choice on the face and posing. The rounded wall is awesome. My only critique is the base feels a bit blocky - especially the transition to studs up to studs sideways, but the overall the base is fine and the focus certainly is on the minifigure and the buildings (and ghost). -

Great job! The uneven ground in the garden is a nice touch as are the out-of-focus items inside. The brown frogs as table lets are NPU.

Warhammer III - Kislev vs Khorne Demons
jtooker replied to BardDandelion's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is a terrific build! Khorne (the big red guy?) is perfect! The face is terrifying and believable and the arms/legs/wings are in great proportion - and the scale is very impressive. The only downside is he takes all the focus from the rest of the MOC which has terrific snow and rockwork! Well done! -

The double hinge technique is awesome and works very well with the arch over the street. Great details throughout the build too. Good luck on ideas!- 532 replies

Members of my LUG have these suggestions. I haven't gotten a vase yet - but I'm liking the narrower 4" (10 cm) wide vase better. A: 9" high and 4" Dia -------------------------------------- B: 9 inches tall with 5 diameter- 137 replies

Looks terrific to me! I love the plants on the side of the road - their size and uniformity suggests they are a crop of some sort, which works well. The landscaping in general is very nice, though perhaps some plates mixed in with the tiles on this side would be slightly better. The cart itself is superb! All the minifigures look good and are posed well. The only other critique I have is that the road itself looks a bit out of place in a presumably rural scene. I do like it, but suggests a more urban area where such large stones might be placed. From an in-world perspective, it seems a bit too good for a rural road.
