  1. I submit this MOC for the following credits: Geography: lake Wall: SNOTed stonework
  2. And everyone gets to enjoy some marvelous creations! That is my favorite part of any contest. And congratulations to the winners! 🎉
  3. Folviken Fortress Folviken Fortress The Duke of Glannalt is brought to the Folviken. Abductees are always brought to the lake fortress for safe keeping until a ransom is paid. High profile persons, such as the duke, are always high stakes; sometimes our work just plays into the hands of an opportunistic usurper. But the rewards for the Wolfpack are too good to pass up. The Duke of Glannalt is Brought to the Lake Fortress I created this MOC for the Over water! category of the CCC XIX. I had been planning such a MOC for a while, especially after seeing Jonas Kramm’s Wolfholm. The submission was also very fitting for the Brickscalibur Rogues and Outlaws. The bridge to the main keep I had planned to use more wood and less stone, but enjoyed creating the rough stone wall textures. The whole process took longer than expected, but I’m satisfied with the result. The Roofs of the Fortress I had originally planned on a cheese slope roof, but could not work in the ‘wolf’ accents without very large roof rakes. So I went with a standard tile roof (with tiles half pushed down). Front Door of Folviken Fortress with Two Lanterns The lantern design is care of @ranghaal. Folviken Docks All three towers can be seen from the rear The Rear Tower Can be Seen when Viewed from the Right Box Windows Look out from the Second Floor The Front Façade Strikes Fear into Anyone Unlucky enough to get a Glimpse The Door to the Front Gatehouse Tower and Draw Bridge A Closeup of the Rear Tower
  4. Excellent final piece! And great job overall. It was fun to see all of these creations.
  5. NPU on the snow globe! Great use of the monochrome animal pieces too.
  6. I love the great variety of buildings and activities represented, all with excellent detail. Very fun!
  7. I agree with the others, the colors used in this MOC are terrific. I enjoy that the landscaping/water is the majority of the MOC.
  8. More great little creations! Thanks for the consistent posting.
  9. Terrific castle! The size is terrific and the techniques are interesting but practical enough to be a production set. The dock in back is a nice inclusion. The white and dark blue color scheme works well.
  10. Hmm, I need to find some fleshy arms for my yellow minifigures... @Sympatik Brick, the stone technique is interesting. The shape of everything looks challenging - good job with the a non-square shaped building.
  11. @Sympatik Brick, great job on the aristocratic clothing @Eyrezer, I love the barbed wire
  12. These are awesome! I like the variations and the little one is cute.
  13. I like how the flags are mounted in back as well as the signage on the front - the gold decorations with the barrel is terrific.
  14. Great variety of wolf-related figs. Having the leadership in flux is an interesting take.
  15. @Aurore, thanks! I thought he made an interesting character. I meant to give names and a bit of description to each fig, but forgot when posting. @socalbricks, I like them, it took me a while to land on the 'uniform' of a Batuhan guard, but really like red torso (mail or dragonmasters) with gray/bley arms/legs. The style is inspired by some of the Kingdoms' Lion Knights. Yes you do! It is the back side, which I don't think I've posted pictures of the new section. I'd been meaning to publish a fig-barf of the Batuhan Guard; the CCC seemed like a good excuse and I thought this MOC made a better background than none at all or a simple irregular baseplate design. I'll probably reuse the idea for the Brickscalibur's Monarchic Minifigures by changing up Aarash's clothes and adding more 'court' figures. I'm glad the presentation was helpful. 16. 2 points: 15.W. Navarre 1 point: 4.W Navarre
  17. Great idea and awesome figure - those parts go together well. I'm looking forward to these daily builds!
  18. Great MOC! Very fun - enjoyed the details throughout while looking through the album on flickr.
  19. Aarash and his ‘crew’ must periodically take-up the unpleasant, and often times rough, job of collecting taxes. While some of the citizenry enjoy the organized protection of the Batuhan guard, others need convincing.
  20. Lovely colors! Great shape in the building, especially the domed roof.
  21. I agree, this was a hard decision! 1 point for 3.Gideon 1 point for 16.Henjin_Quilones 1 point for 7.BardDandelion
  22. Holy cow - what a read. First, I believe there is a mistake in your images in the first section of the 'full' story, @W Navarre. On the part 1 page itself, there is nobody falling and you see the two talking, but on this page, you show someone falling. That confused me and made me assume it was foreshadowing (which technically it was, but not supported by the story). And then in the last part (again here on this page only) do are missing that image. I guess looking at other individual pages, I see other images were left out of this 'full' story. Overall, keeping everybody straight was a bit of a struggle and the Italian mixed in didn't help me, but did add to the flavor of the story. I'll organize my comments by part: I: Great setup, as I said before, lovely use of the white with dark tan. II: Awesome description - I didn't need the extra pictures, but now seeing them, they fit my imagination pretty well, @TalusMoonbreaker. The lamp poll is excellent, but overall the scenes look appropriate. The tilework on the floor is spot on. III: I'll say the masked ball was probably the part I had the hardest time following, but I see how it connects certain characters together. The consumes are fun. IV: Ignoring the story, this building is absolutely beautiful, @Ayrlego. The terrace is terrific and the stone decoration work very well with your brick techniques. Absolutely terrific! Besides adding even more to the story (in terms of content) I did find this part easy to follow. V: Great descriptions and the amulet's shrine is terrific - very fitting for such an artifact. VI: Great job starting to bring the story to a close. My only critique is that the Kolgari seemed to reverse their opinion of Luca pretty quickly - I'm not sure not-finding something would be enough to assume innocence. But other than that, well worded and written. VII: definitely the best written part IMO - by this time I've finally got a decent grasp of the characters. While everything that happens is as you'd expect (e.g. no surprises), I was sad for Råiden and I was certainly pulling for a twist. But telling it straight like this does allow for Arama's character to develop. I'm writing this before you post a MOC (and I'm sure it will be terrific) but I had no problem imagining the scene. VIII: The conclusion (especially at this point) is almost needless. The words are fine and does confirm there are not extra twists in the story. As I said before later, by the characters physically coming back to this place (tiger statue) - it ties the story together very well. The fact this part is short is a good thing. Putting the image of the person falling in the appropriate place in this thread would be nice (and moving the colorful image of the amulet to the appropriate time in the story would be a slight improvement). General: tying the tiger statue with the elf's nick-name was quite poetic and did a wonderful job connecting the different parts of the story (that and beginning and ending the story at the statue). I think I need a family tree (I almost made one to keep the characters straight).
  23. Great job transitioning from the snow to the warm pools.
  24. Well, I think videos that spectacular must be against the rules! Great job framing the scene in the photos and video. I can hear the roar of the crowd in my head! The size of the MOC (especially the crowd) really does it. If you didn't show the zoomed out view of the 'slice' of the stadium, I'd have assumed it was 100% built. I enjoyed the progress pictures and will watch your time laps video later! Wonderful job!
