  1. Thank you, from all of you. I should call this a tribute, but its silly. My dad was a doctor, and I really like history too. So, we had hundreds of books with medical records, and i saw a lot of copper engravings in books, from this situation. Also the famous of Rembrandt van Rijn's "the Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp" was also a huge inspiration for this build. Actually, the biggest inspiration was (with the puking student) comes from the movie Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Early in the movie Mel Brook's prof Van Hel sing, also making an autopsy, and on the first cut on the body, nine from ten students instantly looses consciousness, and the prof gives some organs to him, then him too falls down. Then the nurse enters and says: "congrats prof 10 out of ten again" Actually, this build was displayed, in our clubs exhibition, and many visitors saw it, and liked it. There was 2-3 who were also doctors (or at least medical staff) and they told me, its almost looks like like one of our country's famous medical university's lecture hall. The posing of the figs needs a lot of patient , I have several larger builds in our exhibition, and the visitors really like all the little movements, all the little details.
  2. Wao, i never though i would win with this :D Thanks guys, and congrats for all of the other builders too! Was a really nice and fun challenge.
  3. Oh, not just the window, but the two diploma is also intergrated in the wall. ;)
  4. So, I hope I'm doing this right. My Category: The challenge was to demonstrate the curved wall technique, so I chose to build the Grand Auditorium. I would also give it a subtitle: Autopsy in the Grand Auditorium. I really liked the old anatomical theaters: the high rows of seats surrounding the central area, where a doctor or professor would share their latest discoveries or teach their students. Luckily, the sand green tiles fit this theme perfectly and also represent the Avalonian Guild. A nice view awaits outside, with rare butterflies displayed on the walls alongside certificates celebrating great achievements. The floor is tiled to make cleaning easier. And there's always that one person who just can't hold their lunch...
  5. Hey there! It happened, some of my co-workers and fellow club members started making upscale figures, vehicles, and animals. So, I too decided to join in the fun, and of course, I wanted to enter this small competition with my favorite castle figure. Yeah, cas252, Wolfpack. The arms and legs are the same as every upscale figure (excluding the pirate, sry ). I didn't want to use the simple minifigure head slope, so I had to figure out what the height and size of this part were, maybe where the eyes were, and had to build it for myself. I think I really nailed it. The torso was the real challenge. My co-worker told me he is working on an upscale SW stormtrooper, and he will print some stickers for the torso. I decided, why am I a master builder if I can't build a simple Wolfpack insignia? So, I sat down and made plans, measuring how to fit this decoration into a 1x6x6 panel space, and whether there was a way to increase its size, at least in length. So far, I was able to come up with this pattern, using brackets to fill up the little gaps and give the build the right squeeze so they won't fall out. But it didn't fit in the torso, so I removed the difficult build inside the torso (especially the frontal support). I had to make a few more adjustments at his armpits, but I think it came out fabulous! His cape was easy after the inside of the torso.
  6. Well, i changed the top plates, behind the tiles, to one color, just to make sure, it wont stick out from the if I take a picture from higher. Since that I already added a few upgrade to the wall and furniture, just need one little extra, to the final touch, and I'm done ;)
  7. Hey! this is my Entry, for the May1 deadline for CatA Grand Auditorium Sadly, lost the "how to link from flicker thing" so, im stuck with a bad picture from my desktop. Can i have a little help here?
  8. Hey folks! This is my WIP pictures of my work in progress, of my Cat A. AS you can see, i chose an indoor grand room, with matching Avalonian tiles. ...
  9. Great work, seeing many of us in one picture!
  10. Hey All! Grover found me in my absent. And asked me, if im interested to rejoin GoH, and im glad to tell, i would. I joined in 2016, I watched the forums, and i wanted to join somewhere to do hobbies together. I liked Classic Castles, so this is why i joined Avalonia, but i almost went to Mitdgard first. I liked all the challanges I always tried to build something in, or twist the concept to be a little overthinked. Sadly, i saw the guilds slow progress, and i didnt had enoug inspiraton, to build too. A few year back, i was able to work with Lego, runing shops, and now im in a local club, that makes exhibition around Hungary. I spend most of my imegination therem and build thing for the exhibition, and have little time to build. Actually, im into something. back in 2016 i had to decide, i will continue my lego passion, or start something different. I was this close, to start playiing warhammer, then i make a vow, i will build warhammer out of Lego, and now, i start making it happen! But im gladly returns to the guilds. Maybe more little challenges would be great, to keep the guilds running
  11. Looks amazing! I also, trying to make 40k in Lego, but in minifigure scale ;)
