Terrific castle! I like the second image showing everything spread out a bit. The stonework is great - my only criticism is the lowest part is a bit plain - it doesn't match the slightly rough texture of the rest of the walls. The trees and red building are great additions and add some color and interesting details otherwise lacking (e.g. otherwise you just have a large bley building). Great job!

I love the waterfall - the transition from white to trans-clear (and dark-trans-clear?) works very well here. Congrats and good luck on the ideas contest!

I do like these shots too. Building rock has always been hard for me too, though I'm getting a bit faster at it after a few years. -
Terrific castle! The seams at the non-right-angle corners are terrific and match the stonework well. I love the doors as well as the decorative wood above them. The wood flooring is a wonderful detail. Thank you for sharing your creation!

CDC2 Ancient Wonders: Tōrō Nagashi

Wonderful MOC! I like how cohesive it is. I think the lanterns are my favorite part. The snow looks quite deep, but the clear path & stairs convey a well travelled (at least well-kept) path. -

Kaliphlin has some great wonders! I need to get started on mine (it too will be micro scale)... I love the scale of the rocks beside the monastery. The colors of the rock and combination of colors used for the building are nice. I like the mountain forest out-of-focus in the background - really makes the scene immersive.- 10 replies

Book III - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
jtooker replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hello @Raegon and welcome to GoH - it is not too late to sign up. While Book 4 will start late this year, there is no reason to wait to start building! -
Great chess set. The base is terrific. I like the simple pieces with just enough details. Everything seems ok on my mobile browser.

I'm loving these detailed shots! -
Wonderful vegetation! I like seeing all these plants and flowers not in most LEGO MOCs.
-
Great stairs! The whole MOC has a great feel to it and the details throughout are spectacular!
-
Super textures throughout, especially on the stonework. I love the portcullis. The water and the smoke go a long way I'm bringing you into this MOC. Great job!

Awesome MOC! The scale of it is terrific with the large trees and spacious patio/road. I like the consistent window technique and the plants around the property too! -
Wow! Incredible entry. The scale and detail are terrific!

Great transition from above-to-below ground textures, including the subterranean water.

Book III - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

You are correct - but I plan to add my town there too. MOCs for the town are not coming too quickly (I noticed I started the map over a year ago). -

Those of you with towns/cities, did you make a post for the city itself and if so, do you keep it up to date (other than the HSS)? I'm planning to do this with my town, Batuhan. I've got a draft on my blog: https://lego.jtooker.com/batuhan/ and I'll keep this one up to date and was just curious if I should make a post here (otherwise I'll probably just put it as a reply to this thread). Also, feel free to read through the draft and let me know if you have any critiques or corrections. -
I'd say those colors are far from strange - at least in the way you combined them - they look great.

Wow! Terrific build. The stonework technique matches the pictures you showed quite well. The roof tiles fit well too. -
Thanks! I stole the idea from some book nooks I've seen. I thought it was a good way to get more 'space' out of 12 stud depth. I wished there was a larger mirror piece, but this worked well. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks - I really liked being able to include some bolder colors - I wish the teal door came out a bit brighter, but I guess allies are dark. Thanks! Thank you - I'm glad I got the effect to work using pure LEGO pieces I'm glad you liked it. I'm happy it came out well. I haven't seen anyone do this with LEGO yet, but I may have missed someone else's creation. Thank you for the kind words.

Great techniques in this little MOC. Looks very picturesque.

Though a bit gruesome - I do like that you have a theme. Some of these are very creative.

Awesome! It is fun to see what you and everyone else is doing with this set (while I wait for it to be available) -
Wonderful story and wonderful MOCs. I'm interested to see what will become of such an oath. The MOCs match the story well and have great details.
