  1. Beautiful! Congratulations on your victory - I somehow missed this thread when congratulating other winners who I know have a presence on here....
  2. Well I probably didn't need to buy it at 00:01 GMT this morning, but I did.... At least I can now be sure there's one coming.....
  3. Love it! Excellent use of those curved pieces. Inky’s not actually that colour at all, but I get that there’s not a big pallet of light blue, pink, and orange pieces to suit your ghost builds....
  4. Congratulations @zephyr1934 on your regional win with the coaches in Brick Train Awards 2021!!!
  5. Having just watched the live stream, huge congratulations to all winners - I know there are a few to be found on here! @zephyr1934 for his coaches and@Gabor for his Stadler Kiss come to mind specifically....
  6. Just wanted to say congratulations on winning Best Electric Locomotive globally in the Brick Train Awards - well done!!!!
  7. Very nice! When's a physical build expected?
  8. Does that make your nearest one Cardiff or something?
  9. For some reason I thought it was 42.... Anyway, there are still 8 with over 9000 supporters, and many more with 8000. This review stage is going to have an insane number of projects - I can never remember when the closing date for this support period is.
  10. Well our stores aren't even open in the UK and won't be until April 12th. Can't wait to go to Leicester Square then, as the largest LEGO store in the entire world.....
  11. Succulent Garden is the 36th project to make this review. What's the record? Meanwhile another The Office project has almost reached 10K - they have 8 days to get 32 supporters.....
  12. Welcome to the forum @koraldon! I would honestly have to agree with @Jeffinslaw here. If paying the extra helps to keep the better company alive, I think it's worth it. TrixBrix products may be good, but low quality in the past has resulted in other companies suffering. I don't own any from either myself, but the general consensus on here is that BrickTracks is better quality and more favourable. The creator also has a presence on here so gets some support that way. TrixBrix is only now really starting to manufacture injection moulded products, whereas BrickTracks always has been, so is a safer bet. For only $5-10 extra, it's worth it in my opinion.
  13. Well there are now 33 projects to have reached 10K..... Nothing from @Itaria No Shintaku on EB or elsewhere as far as I know about his awesome Charlie and the Chocolate Factory project - he hasn't commented on here since February 12th......
  14. True. The Chrysler is a beauty, and at that scale you could properly do the roof. My reasoning for the Eiffel Tower is personal really - I have been up it twice, so it has some meaning. I can completely understand why some people don't want it though, as it is basically an iron frame....
  15. I really like this! It’s a good use of the Bygglek (which I generally don’t particularly like), making a nice small scene! Good work!
  16. Very impressive! I love these sorts of MOCs! I've always loved superyachts and their gigantic size. Everything about this MOC is brilliant. I need to check the Scale Modelling Forum more often!
  17. Thanks for the review! Can't wait for Saturday when I'll be able to pick this up along with 10258 London Bus and 10262 James Bond Aston Martin DB5.... The only disappointing thing in my opinion is the number of stickers - would have liked to at last see a printed world map 2x2 tile.....
  18. Now that one I really hope for! That set's enormous, being I think the tallest ever (108cm), and tends to go for about £450 minimum....
  19. We’ve had vets in the Friends and Modulars lines, but never city as far as I know. Closest I can think of are this summer’s wildlife rescue sets and an older fire set with the fire chief and a cat up a tree - stuff like that....
  20. I don't think he's saying he'd like it, he's saying that it's incredibly unlikely, and that the hoax mentioned above is even less. 10234 Sydney opera House I have to admit I picked up last year at 18% extra, which I thought was a pretty good deal with free postage and no tax because it was within the UK (like me), and I love it. The Architecture Sydney Opera House no.21012 however was embarrassing and I can see being redone relatively soon, as it came out in 2012. Quite a few of the very early ones have either been redone completely or are the main features of a skyline (e.g. Sears/Willis Tower, Chicago).
  21. Very nice as always @Cale! The amount of effort you put into MOCs never fails to impress, and this is no exception! I remember when you posted your Blue Comet several years back now - I'm very rarely as impressed as I was of that!
  22. By the way @coaster did you reach your 'moderately successful' target on the North Pole Railroad? I didn't actually buy it because I don't have the money but I'd be interested to know if you'll be doing anything like that again in the future?
  23. Yes, despite previous rumours I've seen on here jjp's site also hasn't changed. In terms of price and size, as it is said to cost the same as the Police Station (US$199.99), I'd say that it will probably be a similar piece count or slightly smaller due to branding. If April 1st is correct, @Jb10bo is right, we should see first leaks pretty soon. However big exclusives are better hidden these days than they have been in the past....
  24. I hope VIA Rail itself getting involved may help to push this forward, but honestly I don’t think it’ll make much difference. Brad Bird showed his support for the Ratatouille idea (which he directed) and it still didn’t make it....
  25. Brickset published their review of the Amelia Earhart GWP yesterday. I have to admit I agree with them to some extent about the stand....
