The train station has been redesigned for the Bricklink Designer Program, all with current parts. The glass dome pieces are made from the garage door pieces, as seen in Corner Garage. Are instructions for these sets going to be available? I’d love the train station but won’t have the money - I still need to pick up the roller coaster before the end of the year.

Of course. I’d completely forgotten that, ironically as it’s pictured just above. I’d quite like to see a boat frozen in the ice though I’m not sure how that would fit in. To tie the fantasy and real together, I’d also like a meet Santa set. I don’t think it could be the whole thing though. Also I wouldn’t mind an old fashioned ski lodge (not like the one in City a couple of years back).

Nah the next Ideas set is actually the Stratocaster which was a competition winner and everyone forgot about it. @adwind’s Home Alone will be the one that follows, priced at $230, a price that will give a far better set. On a different note, has there ever been a snowplough vehicle in any WV set before? That seems to me to be a good vehicle for these sets. What I really hope is that we never get a police station. The only police scene I associate with Christmas is drunk driving from the celebrations.

Very nice! The Cure’s Disintegration is the real standout here for me. It’s also great to see them all together. Are these all albums you own on vinyl? It would be great to see them arranged in the same way if you do. I’ve been lucky enough to have access to a Linn turntable belonging to my grandfather, so I know from experience - and you will probably agree - that vinyl has a unique and truly amazing sound - it is the way to go regarding music. Pity some are so hard to find as CDs still have the lead despite vinyl’s return to popularity in the past decade. Anyway, amazing work and looking forward to seeing many more album cover dioramas in the future!

Oh the oversaturation was ridiculous. There was forest police, night/secret police, swamp police, sea police, mountain police, air police and of course regular police. They came out on a 3 year rotation, 1 regular then 2 weird. Meanwhile fire was only every 3 years and hospital every 6. It was absurd. Air police, the last one, was dreadful and sold poorly and they’ve stopped since that.

LEGO Ideas Discussion

Just built the 40487 sailboat adventure and I have to say it’s a beautiful little set and very unique. I don’t think I’ve built anything quite like it. Admittedly £200 is a very high threshold but it’s probably the best GWP ever in my opinion. -

Also forgot to say that expected in 2022 is Sonic. -

There’s one used by the crooks in Prison Island, I believe released in 2015. Great set, one of my favourite police sets. 4 crooks is rare in a single city set. -

According to JJP’s Instagram (a very reliable source), Home Alone is not 21329, as thought - that is the black Stratocaster from the competition for $99.99, VIP release September 21st, main release October 1st. The Home Alone set is in fact going to be 21330, for $249.99, with expected release date early November. With this information it’s almost certainly going to be enclosed - thank goodness for that! The other thing JJP said is that both the Earth Globe and The Starry Night should be expected in 2022. -
Excellent idea! However it’s the 30th anniversary... I feel like as we’re progressing to electric cars in real life, there should be the inclusion of something Octan E somewhere? Also, I’d be in favour of a new tanker wagon for the railway.

This is a truly stunning MOC! It's immediately clear that you have spent countless hours on this. It deserves a front page post.

The Mountain View Observatory has not been cancelled as your post implies, but is simply too complicated to have been tested completely before Round 1 - it will appear in a later round. AFAIK there will be 2 more rounds, but I kinda expect them to increase that to 3 as it would be 7, 6, 6, rather than 9, 10. @Lego-fire you are right, but it's only five from each round that are made into sets. Not to slam all the Bionicle fans out there, but the fact that a Bionicle set has failed to get past even the Bricklink Designer Program will tell LEGO a lot in their eyes - I think they'll be even less willing with this information to bring it back. I know there are many AFOLs in favour of it, but with this I don't rate its chances.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vilhelm22 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Bevins Bricks on YouTube has done a really nice transfer of the Bonsai Tree into a tree in his MILS shopping plaza. It looks really good. There have been several IDEAS models in the past of modular parks, sometimes with a big central tree - I wouldn’t like this to be THE modular but I’d like it to be a smaller one like 80107. -
Agreed. There are quite a lot of people who buy either the UCS or the Creator Expert scale models. I'm one of many who does not buy both - only the CE ones. Considering we have a couple of Oct 1 releases, I think Nov 1 is very likely, in time for the Black Friday sales (though not on sale as brand new, there is still increased purchasing during that time). Sets aren't ever released Dec 1 except GWPs - they wait for the huge Jan 1 release.

Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion

Another idea would be all 12 zodiac signs in some sort of display - I think there's normally one non specific to the year set each year. -

Yeah - plus both CG and BS have no food at all - AS has a cafe and bakery, while PS has the donut shop as you said. I think a corner bar is possible - the last thing even remotely like that was in DO. Have we ever had a butchers or fish shop? What about a delicatessen or general farm shop? Also - Germany has a drinking age of 16... -

Thanks @Powered by Bricks! It's going to be a huge help in the future - cross-topic discussion is never helpful.... I wouldn't say this normally as it's really picky, but as it's a long term thread I will - there ought to be a space after the comma after 'Rumours".... -
The first leaked image of the colosseum (last year’s equivalent in terms of date released) was apparently 3rd October. However I think this year they’ve really cracked down on leaks - some like the pickup have been a total surprise.

They need to start over - with proper architecture not those stupid skylines and the rerelease of the Burj which wasn't brilliant to begin with. Also - is the Empire State retiring this year?
-
Welcome @TitanGuy1! That's a very good sign - @VanIslandLego is an incredibly reliable source, and has in recent years leaked some very important, real stuff. No clue who he actually is though, but I'm assuming he's well connected for this to be possible. November doesn't surprise me at all - this is predicted to be an enormous set, and Black Friday last year brought the Colosseum, so I wouldn't be surprised if this succeeded that. I think Camp Nou is rumoured September release, and the pickup truck officially October, plus the Winter Village set is always October 1st. It therefore makes sense. True - there are a number of things it could be. yours and @MrKite6's suggestions are both very good. Belfast was a huge place for shipbuilding, right through to World War II at least - I remember from my trip to HMS Belfast in London that it was intentionally named after the shipyard.

The use of that ice skate there is truly fantastic. Having had a Volvo before, I know the design very well! The overall look is brilliant, and so obviously an ambulance. Every aspect of this is brilliant. Also good to know Sweden uses their own companies for emergency vehicles!

Amazing, like all of your MOCs. Supported, like about 30 of your projects. Is your train station in Bricklink Designer Program Stage 2 or 3? It's one I'm hoping to pick up when it appears. hopefully it won't be too expensive...

If they were to include a butcher, I'd like it to be based on this scene from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - admittedly his only book I've actually read despite owning inherited antique copies of all of them, but truly an amazing read all the same. “What’s to-day, my fine fellow?” said Scrooge. “To-day?” replied the boy. “Why, Christmas Day.” “It’s Christmas Day!” said Scrooge to himself. “I haven’t missed it. The Spirits have done it all in one night. They can do anything they like. Of course they can. Of course they can. Hallo, my fine fellow!” “Hallo!” returned the boy. “Do you know the Poulterer’s, in the next street but one, at the corner?” Scrooge inquired. “I should hope I did,” replied the lad. “An intelligent boy!” said Scrooge. “A remarkable boy! Do you know whether they”ve sold the prize Turkey that was hanging up there – Not the little prize Turkey: the big one?” “What, the one as big as me?” returned the boy. “What a delightful boy!” said Scrooge. “It’s a pleasure to talk to him. Yes, my buck.” “It’s hanging there now,” replied the boy. “Is it?” said Scrooge. “Go and buy it.” “Walk-er!” exclaimed the boy. “No, no,” said Scrooge, “I am in earnest. Go and buy it, and tell them to bring it here, that I may give them the direction where to take it. Come back with the man, and I’ll give you a shilling. Come back with him in less than five minutes and I’ll give you half-a-crown.” The boy was off like a shot. He must have had a steady hand at a trigger who could have got a shot off half so fast. I love this scene, from when Scrooge has seen his past, present, and future self, and turns good. It's the way I'd like to see a butcher in the WV line work.

Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion

Thanks. Maybe there could be a sort of ‘forest festival’ set, with a lot of bamboo and a panda over to the side?
