  1. Not sure if Disney will be shoehorning this one into their Disney Princesses pantheon, but in regards to possibilities for 2020...
  2. 4. Hmmm, I'm thinking IP2 is actually Minions, as @StoneWarsDE purports that Trolls go by the set numbers 75546 through 75551.
  5. Sounds deep. Can't wait! Collider - First Images for Pixar’s ‘Soul’ Revealed; Cast and More Musical Details Announced
  6. Ah, excellent news. I was worried what was going to happen after Gigantic got cancelled. This actually sounds pretty awesome and more intriguing than Gigantic, so I'm excited. Screen Rant - Raya and the Last Dragon: First Details for Disney's New Animated Film
  7. I'm glad someone else feels the same about Atlantis. The fish figures were fantastic but the divers were all the same and so, so boring. I think the uniformity of the Atlantis theme's heroes with their outfits and vehicles has some degree of crossover appeal to those who are into Lego's Space themes. If anything, pretty much all of Lego's "Aquazone" action/adventure playthemes can be seen as just that: Underwater Space Themes. Of course, I myself would've gladly taken a Monster Fighters theme that was rather more '20s/Noir/Jazz Age-inspired.

  12. By the way, has anyone here caught wind of what happened to @figura's Gravity Falls themed LEGO Ideas project? It might have some pertinence to this topic in terms of the future... The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Projects Archived Before Review Stage
  13. Well, there's only so much Lego can do with Star Wars since they haven't creative control of the property themselves. While I can't speak for the franchise itself, in terms of what it can offer Lego in the way of set material, it's getting pretty darn stale and redundant in my eyes, hence why I wish it were scaled-back a degree to make room for an original Space Opera/Space Knights playtheme that Lego can call their own. Sure, I know there are plenty of great directions premise-wise that Lego could take the next in-house Space theme of theirs that don't involve an operatic good vs. evil saga; but, because of Star Wars, the greatest casualty from their monopolization of the genre is the chance of Lego ever attempting their own Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers-inspired Raypunk Space playtheme. They may share the same narrative themes and tropes, yet their aesthetic styles couldn't differ more from one another, and I just want to see some pulpy Flash Gordon-inspired goodness from Lego rather than more of the same-old drabness Star Wars continues to give us.
  14. BTW, I've already started a topic for the City theme next year.
  15. As a longer-running theme, veteran characters foundational to the theme could just eventually take a supporting backseat role to other newer faces introduced somewhere around the middle of the theme's projected lifespan, passing the baton on to a new generation and thereby imcriminatally giving the theme new life. At the very least, they could be dressed a lot more smarter than they had been in PQ and MF. For instance, I'd love to see me some figures as sharply designed as these character concepts I cited on another topic awhile back...
  16. Yep, pretty much just slight variations of stuff we've only seen countless times, though I do think that buildable Yoda looks kinda cool, and the Y-Wing's Poe Dameron and Zorri Bliss look pretty sweet as far as figures go.
  17. Seriously, a full-scale Adventurers revival could easily encapsulate and amalgamate all three of those themes and so much more nowadays, surpassing its fantastical archaeology premise to become an evergreen 1930's Pulp-Era action/adventure line. Outside of City's annual Exploration subthemes and maybe Jurassic World, there just isn't much in Lego's product lineup currently to conflict with such a theme, not to mention that the last in-house, exploration-based action/adventure platheme we've seen from Lego was Dino about seven years ago.
  18. Ah, I can see how the Bounty Hunter's Titanium Metallic visored helmet would pair well with those Yellow Jacket torsos.
  19. This. And while I'm not entirely sure the concept of 'Space Knights' was new when Stars Wars did it in the late 70s, I can 100% tell you Space Knights is a dead beaten horse 40 years later. Eh, I still want a true in-house "Space Knights" theme myself, something I feel Nexo Knights just could've been if it weren't for Star Wars.
  20. It was definitely nice getting so much content, but boy, did some of those leave me wanting more. Particularly Monster Fighters & Pharaoh’s Quest. Absolutely agreed, especially regarding those two themes you've specifically highlighted! I mean, Pharaoh's Quest should've went on to become a full-scale revival of Adventurers, and Monster Fighters could've likewise expanded its horizons in a similar such manner, as both of them had the scope and potential to take on a grand scale comparable with what Ninjago has achieved!
