LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
As far as particular historical figures go, I somewhat see where you're coming from, though I personally wouldn't wish the same for non-particular historical archetypes. For instance, I'd specifically wish to see a yellow-toned Frontiersman CMF, not necessarily an outright figure of Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone. -
Well, by Indians, I was referring to people from India in Southeast Asia rather than Native Americans.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Dream Series Game.
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While some here may have a vaster idea in their head of what they'd like to see from future Series, I'd guess most only have in mind just a few particular archetypes they'd hope to see, not enough to fill two Series worth of wishes. So, I thought I might link a few CMF idea topics here to more easily inspire others to fill out entries of their own, as sometime you don't know what you want until you see it! By the way, is anyone here aware we have set numbers for 2020's Creator Expert sets? Apparently 10270 already has listed a part count at 2504 pieces: StoneWars - LEGO 2020 News: Creator Expert -
Yep, hence why I denoted it as being "highly wistful"... Seriously though, I was more intending to illustrate something I'd recently come to realize about the non-licensed Collectable Minifigure theme, and that is that its CMFs typically need to be defined by their occupation to justify their place in a CMS rather than just merely their place in space and time. Point being, it'd be nice if Lego could find some place to give us figures of everyday folk outside of the modern, homogenized context. Hmmm, I'd be most rest assuring to know that TLG is still proactively keeping an eye on this forum, because sometimes their presence feels absent here. You just know such a line has most likely been the dream theme for so many AFOLs; but the way TLG is nowadays, they'd likely want to test the waters for such unexplored concepts within a preexisting playtheme beforehand.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

...and yet no proper Frontiersman CMF strangely enough... -
Indeed, quite likely if the lighting there isn't deceiving us, hence why I hadn't mentioned it alongside the boots and hat. I must say, the change in color of the rope slung across this figure's torso design isn't at all upsetting for me, as the product render's red rope slightly placed the archetype into a more modern context, whereas the brown rope makes the overall design all the more vintage!

Heh, check out this guy's mod of the Paranormal Intercept Bus!

This is a highly wistful request I'm making of the LEGO City theme as we know it nowadays, but I'd dearly love to see People Packs that could supply us with urban denizens from more specific cultures/countries and recent decades of the past few centuries, just made-up of minifigures of everyday people not specifically defined by an archetypical occupation and not limited to the modern-day context of the LEGO City theme. You see, while you'd think the Collectable Minifigure theme is the best place for those kinda figures, that line's offerings are pretty much limited to what kinda occupation that archetype is built around, so the likelihood of seeing CMFs based upon a Victorian-Era Londoner, a 1950's suburban housewife, a 1930's factory worker, or someone in traditional Indian, Dutch, or Mexican attire might not be as possible under that theme since their occupations are either too vague or just not as definingly relevant.

Do You Consider the Unikitty Blind Bags to be CMF?
Digger of Bricks replied to Schwa's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Having just remembered the UniKitty "CMS" the other day after having forgotten all about it, I started pondering the possibility of seeing further other-than-Minifigure-based CMS in the near future. Particularly, I was contemplating if Lego would ever consider a Collectable Minidoll line in the vein of the traditional non-licensed line of Collectable Minifigures, something I'm sure others have speculated upon here in the past. I mean, does anyone here currently see that ever being a viable possibility nowadays, as a UniKitty-like outlier fourth CMS to be released alongside Lego's traditional three annual CMS? -
Mmmmmm, the simple, but particular shaping of the dual engines on this fighter really make this build for me...

As far as further CMFs based upon American history go, I'd hope to soon see some settler archetypes such as Mayflower Pilgrims, Davy Crockett/Daniel Boone-inspired Frontiersmen, and Midwestern Prairie Pioneers. -

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Something interesting to note is that neither project has yet been officially stamped as "NOT APPROVED" underneath the supporter count off to the right like all other rejected projects would have. Maybe they're just waiting to label them as such once the official results of the review they were a part of are announced; but the thing is, they were removed from that review, only designated in their official statement as just archived. Despite being classified as "no longer considered it for production" for unmentioned reasons, could they've instead archived them to use in a future review, one that's perhaps lackluster in its offerings like the Third 2018 Review Stage? -

Huh, I don't know whether to be concerned or just simply perplexed by that move. I mean, I could see Disney learning just now of @figura's Gravity Falls project, and requesting TLG prematurely remove it from review to squash any suggestion that submissions based upon such will be seriously considered; but, why the Japanese Tea Garden? I mean, what, does it conflict with Lego's Ninjago??? Speaking of Disney though, check out the latest project to reach the Second 2019 Review Stage...
