  1. You're talking about Mysterio's fishbowl helmet, right? Funny, I hadn't previously heard of that character up until you mentioned him!
  2. The alternative suggestion made by others there was that it could instead belong to next year's second wave of Hidden Side sets; but, I'm kinda blissfully pondering that it could rather be a part of another all-new original playtheme.
  3. The kinda "Punk" that would really get me into constraction personally would be either Decopunk or Teslapunk (exampled below); though Cyberpunk with a sorta Tron Legacy vibe could likely sway me depending how it'd be executed...
  4. Oh yes, of course! I so quickly forgot about that after being brought back up during last year's release of the Aston! Yeah, it's also rather interesting that I myself hadn't thought of that fan poll in relation to this year's Mustang...
  5. Well, Series 17's Retro Spaceman CMF has a helmet design more fitting for Starman rather than Adam Strange, as the latter has a swept-back crest (much like the Rocketeer) atop his helmet, whereas Ted Knight's headwear has a forward-swept crest very spot-on with Lego's "Brick Rogers" helmet.
  6. We so seriously need a devoted Adventurers theme around nowadays, and a Weird War/Dieselpunk-inspired redux of such on par with Ninjago would just be insanely awesome! The least Lego could give us are further pulp archetypes from future CMS, just think of either a playtheme or subtheme of CMFs made-up of figures like these...
  7. Right there with you on the DeLorean; it's at the top of my wishlist for Creator Expert cars. I know it was in consideration at one point, and maybe it can finally come to fruition someday. I'm rather sure Lego's been considering such a set since their rejection of the LEGO Ideas project from 2014... LEGO Ideas - BTTF: UCS DeLorean Time Machine by m.togami Ha, well Lego were to do such a thing, I'd dearly hope they fill those gaps they'd leave with some Raypunk Rocketcraft, Sky-Fi Warplanes, Steampunk Airships, Pacific Rim-inspired Jaegers, Decopunk Steam Locomotives...
  8. Someone on Instagram speculated that the torso may belong to the Speed Champions theme, particularly for the driver of a Pontiac Trans-Am.
  9. As I've expressed here before, probably the only particular character I'd wish to see from this rumored CMS would be Adam Strange, primarily so such a figure can give us a proper rocket-pack/jetpack part that isn't particular to Star Wars. Besides that though, I'd most gladly welcome any Golden Age and/or Elseworlds incarnations of more predominate DC characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and the such!
  10. Huh, kinda reminds me of this constraction theme rumor from a couple of years ago... Considering the, uh, """source""", this should be taken very, VERY lightly. Truth be told, I don't believe it myself, but this board has been essentially dead for the past few months, so really what's the harm in discussing this? On a somewhat related side-note, Ninjago's non-Legacy wave of sets for next year appear to be following in a similar direction premise-wise, with sort of a "Into-the-DigiVerse" Cyberpunk/Pixel-Punk kinda theme.
  11. I've just inquired about this over on the 2020 Ninjago topic, and thought I'd ask here too. Does anyone here have any kinda clue where that one leaked mystery torso may belong to? It depicts an unzipped, Earth Green biker's jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, an orange "Phoenix" insignia on the back, and tan-colored hands.
  12. BTW, does anyone here have any sorta clue where that one leaked mystery torso may belong to? It depicts an unzipped, Earth Green biker's jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, an orange "Phoenix" insignia on the back, and tan-colored hands.
  13. Well, technically they're just set number leaks rather than image-based leaks. After all, those get copy-and-pasted right onto topic replies here anyway. Well, if it were though, what aesthetic and/or premise-based direction could you see such a theme taking (that is, if it weren't Bionicle G3)?
  14. Granted, last year's 10263 Winter Village Fire Station did offer some torso designs much like those, but not the helmets.
  15. The CMF should've been either of a more region-specific and/or period-specific Firefighter, something we would've never seen from the City theme.
  16. As of now, if I had to list this Series' offerings in order of my most to least favored... Intergalactic Bounty Hunter Jungle Explorer/Johnny Thunder Mummy Black Knight/Fright Knight Gamer Monkey King Flamingo Woman Mountain Biker Coder Girl Dog Walker Shower Guy Firefighter Rugby Player Pizza Suit Guy Fox Suit Girl Rainbow Bear
  17. In relation to previous discussion here regarding Star Wars, I thought I might share this recent article from Bloomberg... Bloomberg - Star Wars Is Struggling to Win Over the Next Generation of Kids
  18. This was posted over on Brickset a few weeks ago back on the 20th, but I thought I'd be worth sharing here. While the article itself doesn't really delve too deep into the question it poses, everyone else's thoughts shared there were quite interesting to read... Brickset - Should Classic Space Return?
  19. PromoBricks - LEGO Ideas 21319 Friends Central Perk Coffee: Official Images
  20. Try using The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as a reference. Here's a look at Captain Nemo. (He's the one in royal purple.) Plus, here's a MecaBricks rendition of that take on character (center) by GunnBuilding:
  21. Alright, now that does makes sense within the context of that post, though the suggestion of such sounds rather odd. I mean, in-house Space themes are all about them Spaceships, not really the characters.
  22. Sure, that or a Chevy Bel Air from around then! Much like how the Creator Expert theme made usage of the Ford license from Speed Champions for the Mustang, Lego really ought do the same for General Motors.
  23. Mmmmm, that's pretty sweet torso to reuse for a modern Adventurer. Kinda vaguely reminds me of Nathan Drake's outfit from the third Uncharted game:
