  1. Personally, I myself would rather wish to see a standalone line in the fantastical spirit of the Racers theme rather than such a concept only being relegated to a more grounded subtheme of City, only this time with aeroplanes instead of cars. Same here, hence why I referenced the subtheme at the end of my previous post.
  2. In light of recent news regarding a LEGO Ideas project of @figura's based upon such being prematurely shelved, I checked out both seasons of Disney's Gravity Falls over the past few nights, surprisingly enjoying it for the most part! More particularly, I enjoyed its second season more consistently as a whole over the first one, the former which for me could be a hit-or-miss from episode-to-episode. I guess if I had to list my top five favorite episodes, they'd have to be... S2: Ep. 12 [A Tale of Two Stans] S2: Ep. 18-20 [Weirdmageddon Parts 1-3] * S2: Ep. 2 [Into the Bunker] S1: Ep. 18 [Land Before Swine] S1: Ep. [Irrational Treasure] * Yes, I know that's three episodes right there rather than one, but it was just too seamless of a multi-episode arc to split-up and choice just one part. If I had to though, I'd have to chose its second act Ep. 19 [Escape from Reality], as I felt that was the most poignant and touching.
  3. Hmmm, it was a rather hard choice between Series 3 and Series 10; but ultimately, Series 3 won me over solely due its inclusion of the Pilot/Aviator.
  4. Details! We finally have further details! The Brick Fan - LEGO Lead User Lab Details
  5. As far as new City subthemes go, this one in particular I kinda would be interested to see attempted nowadays; but, if it were to still coexist alongside the theme's frequently reoccurring Police, Fire, Coast Guard, and Medical subthemes rather than be a amalgamated consolidation of those lines, perhaps the focus of its premise should be on post-natural disaster search & rescue operations in the aftermath of earthquakes, hurricanes, forest fires, and the such (much like 1998's Res-Q theme). Well then, maybe Lego oughta try a Crimson Skies-inspired SKY RACERS theme instead...
  6. Hmmm, sounds to me like cruise nights are almost something else entirely there in the UK. Here in Suburban Chicago, they're more of a nostalgic event officially organized by the village where older automobile enthusiasts and "gearheads" can come to showcase their typically antique rides.
  7. Regarding next year's enigmatic "Leaf" theme and whatever it may be, perhaps all could be revealed at October's New York Comic Con, much like how Bionicle 2.0 and Nexo Knights were officially announced there back in 2014 and 2015 respectively?
  8. Agreed! For the Collectable Minifigure theme's tenth anniversary and the presumed release of Series 20 next year, I'm sure designers Tara Wike and Austin Carlson will be sitting down for another interview with RLFM sites at 2020's Fan Media Days, much like they'd done at 2018's event for the release of Series 18 and the Minifigure's fortieth anniversary; so, many of those RLFMs will be definitely taking questions from fans to ask them!
  9. While they didn't particularly specify, TLG just said that both projects "did not comply with our Terms of Service"... The Brick Fan - LEGO Releases Statement on LEGO Ideas Archived Projects I mean, regarding the Mystery Shack, my hunch is that its rejection was on the basis that Lego has already been pursuing/developing products based upon the show beforehand, thereby possibly legitimizing the earlier rumor of the Dipper and Mabel BrickHeadz we heard of last year. For instance, @Foxes Productionz had a LEGO Ideas project based upon Netflix's Stranger Things rejected for submission quite shortly before our first rumor surfaced for the D2C based upon such. In that case though, his project never even got to the support stage, whereas @figura's did and achieved support quite quickly.
  10. Why of course it would, hence why I included a modern-day roadster as the showfloor model to drive that point home. Besides, here where I live in Suburban Chicago, Cruise Nights are an annual summer tradition for many local towns nowadays. But, having just noted that, the one possible inhibition to such a playset from ever happening within the City theme is that Cruise Nights are more particularly an American staple, something that just might not resonate with audiences elsewhere. Hmmm, maybe a Concours d'Elegance or International Auto Show inspired set would instead be the way to go for a more internationally-appealing playset inspired after automobile-centric events.
  11. Regarding next year's enigmatic "Leaf" theme and whatever it may be, perhaps all could be revealed at October's New York Comic Con, much like how Bionicle 2.0 and Nexo Knights were officially announced there back in 2014 and 2015 respectively?
  12. I believe it was the creator of the Japanese Tea Garden who was the TLG employee, whereas @figura created the Mystery Shack project.
  13. ...and here's another newly-submitted project that's pertaint you can index here! LEGO Ideas - Modular Island Fortress by techam
  14. Yes,this rumor really was, but the sets have not appeared All hope for 2020! Thinking back to this rumor, I wonder if this recent piece of news pertaining to LEGO Ideas gives it any legitimacy... The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Projects Archived Before Review Stage
  15. Whoa... ...is this the first time the AFOL community has ever heard of these two concept themes? Seriously excellent find @jamesster!
  16. In the spirit of recent "flagship" sets such as 60233 Donut Shop Opening, 60203 Ski Resort, and 60200 Capital City, it'd be really cool to see a "Cruise Night" themed playset within that vein. Such a set's content could include structural builds of a '50s-inspired Drive-In Diner, a small Auto Repair Shop & Gas Pump, and a Single-Car Auto Dealership Showroom, with maybe around four automobile build that could include a '70s-era Muscle Car, a little T-Bucket Hot Rod, a 1950's-inspired Convertible, and a Modern-Day Two-Seat Roadster to showcase at the Dealership.

  18. Yeah, the @ function is how do I go about such, but I was just wondering if that is generally the preferred method.
  19. Hey there @LegoModularFan, nice to see you around here again! Why indeed I do! Yes, I was quite excited when it did finally achieve support, heralding the news on several pertinent topics here shortly afterward. Now, as for its chances in review, while I am hopeful, I can think of a few reasons they would unfortunately reject it, the biggest one being that it could possibly conflict with the Disney Princesses theme. But, even if it is rejected for any such reason, it still might find second life as one of Lego's annual Disney-themed D2Cs some time after the fact. Oh, speaking of Disney-based LEGO Ideas projects, have you also heard what strange fate befell @figura's Mystery Shack project? The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Projects Archived Before Review Stage
  20. BTW, should the "Report Post" function be used to request or inquire if a topic could be merged with a previously-existing one, or should it just be reserved for spam and abusive comments?
  21. There are already two topics pretty much like this one posted in the LEGO Licensed subforum: Future Simpsons Lego - Rumours, Discussion and Wishlisting Simpsons Sets that NEED to be Made
