  1. Like I'd said, in-house Space themes and Star Wars can coexist alongside each other, though historically the former seem to take a leave-of-absence during the advent of a developing cinematic trilogy on Star Wars' part.
  2. I still don't follow. Why did you wish to highlight that?
  3. According to your latest IG story, many DC fans aren't gonna be happy with the upcoming CMS...
  4. Why yes, indeed I do! But, your point?
  5. Um, sure, but why not something originally unrelated altogether?
  6. Technically the LEGO Star Wars theme should be taking what I see to be a "break" for 2020, 2021, and the first half of 2022 during which there'll be no additional cinematic installments released for then. It shouldn't necessarily a break as much as it'll maybe be just a scale-back in output, hopefully making some wiggle-room for at least one new in-house Space theme in the same way the cinematic dry spell between 2005 and 2015 gave us four different in-house Space themes alongside Star Wars.
  7. Space Mechs would be a smash hit. It would appeal to Space fans and everyone else because who doesn't love mechs? It's also one of the few space sci-fi tropes that Star Wars hasn't touched. Unless you count AT-ATs or whatever but it's a huge stretch to calls those mechs. Plus, like I'd said, I think such a theme should be heavily anime-inspired like Exo-Force was, because it's likely we're never gonna see Ninjago head into Space. Ice Planet is one of the most fondly remembered Space themes, and has one of the best color schemes. Also, just like Mechs, ice exploration is not really a thing in Star Wars. Sure there's Hoth but other than being cold there's no overlap. It's a perfect choice for a reboot. Well, you could say the same for exploration overall when it comes to Star Wars, irrespective of environment. Star Wars just ain't a exploration-driven story. Yep, that's what the Collectable Minifigure theme's best at, testing the waters for genres that not just have never been touched upon before, but also providing figures for genres and settings that Lego knows they could never even viably stretch into a full-on playtheme.
  8. ...or a minidoll-based Space theme!

  10. Ya know, while we've all been contemplating whether this "Leaf" theme is a new constraction line or another System-based "big bang" theme, could there be a chance that it's instead a new minidoll-based playtheme for girls?
  11. Congratulations on already gathering 250 supporters! Here's to wishing you the best of luck on your latest journey towards ten thousand supporters!
  12. Of course that isn't the theme's exclusive focus, though it is its most valued function by AFOLs, thereby acting as its unofficial purpose.
  13. Well, that's pretty much the exact purpose the Collectable Minifigure theme serves, to provide supplementary figures for genres and archetypical settings that Lego can't build an entire playtheme around at the moment.
  14. It's Jay Garrick, Mad Hatter, Wonder Girl, Green Arrow, Green Lantern (Simon Baz), Metallo, Steel, Black Adam, Darkseid, and Mr Mxyzptlk for me.
  15. I always thought Series 12's Space Miner should've been M-Tron themed, even if that wasn't quite what that theme revolved around, as their "M" logo would've been simplistically interpreted as standing for Miner or Mining.
  16. Well I have all the minifigures listed up to Series Z. Also I have a "waiting list" in case TLG releases a character I have planned to use, like the female mummy in Series 19. That doesnt mean the door is closed for suggestions of course. They are always welcomed Speaking of suggestions, I was wondering the other day if you've ever considered a female counterpart to Series 12's Swashbuckler. Maybe such an archetype could utilize a recolor of Angelica's hat/hair combo headgear part?

  18. Of course, though playsets based upon cinematic Star Wars installments that have already made their theatrical runs don't seem to inhibit in-house Space themes in the same way ones based upon upcoming cinematic films do.
  19. Wow, that's, all kinds of stupid cool right there... ...yep, I dig it! Now, I must confess though that my only personal nitpicking gripe I have with this creation is in its labeling as a "Dieselpunk" locomotive, as Dieselpunk is a retrofuturistic genre/aesthetic that is to the Jazz Age/Machine Age what Steampunk is to the Victorian Era/Industrial Age... Wikipedia - Dieselpunk ...for instance, take these LDD creations of @Sunder's as a more clearly defined example of Dieselpunk diesel locomotives...
  20. Plus, @Robert8 is the only CMF artist out there who deals with such, as everyone else seems only interested in "drafting" licensed CMS.
  21. Looks like it's neither a playtheme nor an AR game after all... The Brick Fan - LEGO Announces Rebuild The World Campaign
  22. Say @Redhead1982, are you familiar with these two builders/photographers? I just discovered them recently, and their work is similarly atmospheric... Instagram - BX Studio (@architeclego) Instagram - lego_nuts
  23. Heh, how 'bout a Space theme built around spacecraft playsets that transform or rebuild either into Mecha or the individual limbs of such? Hence why we may woefully never see a Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers-inspired Space Opera theme from Lego. Despite being worlds apart from each other in their stylistic approaches, their shared good-vs-evil saga story beats religates any chance for an in-house Raypunk Space theme to the bin of "too close to Star Wars" ideas for such.
  24. In an ideal world, every theme would be structured in a subthemed, evergreen format much like City.
