  1. Huh, this kinda lines-up with @just2good's theory on the teaser...
  2. Congratulations @WetWired!!! The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Seinfeld 30th Anniversary Achieves 10,000 Supporters
  3. Hmmmm, what the heck could Lego be teasing here???
  4. Heh, ya know what, I dig it. If anything, such a multifaceted theme oughta be officially named LEGO Galaxy, which would be to Space what LEGO City is to Town.
  5. That's kinda what I figured when I saw them...
  6. Holy Bricking Crap... ...now that would be incredible beyond belief...
  7. Same here, even in spite of many's instance that all the Mech sets spread-out amongst numerous already-existing themes are enough, as another playtheme built around Mecha is just too good to not attempt again! In fact, why don't try making such a reboot/spiritual successor a Space theme at the same time (in some ways also acting as a reboot/spiritual successor to 1997's RoboForce subtheme), inspired after anime such as Gundam and Voltron?
  8. Yet you said the theme would be a "game-changer" on IG not too long ago. Hmmm, it isn't any kinda replacement for BrickHeadz at least, is it?
  9. I think there are plenty of excellent directions Lego can take a in-house Space theme nowadays that can heavily differ in premise and/or aesthetic from anything either City or Star Wars could ever offer. For instance, take these few ideas I shared for such elsewhere recently...
  10. Sounds good to me! If done right, versatility and repurposability is always better than one-and-done solutions.
  11. Of course, though there may be a possibility any of those upcoming Disney+ miniseries wouldn't be as inhibiting to in-house Space themes as any cinematic Star Wars offering could ever be, as the animated Clone Wars TV show that ran from 2008 through 2013 didn't stop Mars Mission, Space Police III, Alien Conquest, and Galaxy Squad from coexisting alongside it in the same way the cinematic Prequel and Sequel Trilogies seeming have done for such. People don't stop asking for it because they want a sci-fi in house space theme. Exactly, and Star Wars is just too redundant and aesthetically drab for some people's tastes. Not to mention, neither City nor Star Wars can give you technicolored canopy and windshield recolors like a in-house Space theme can.
  12. Cinematically, there will be, but only for three stinking years. Come 2022, the showrunners behind Game of Thrones are kicking off yet another trilogy.
  13. Of course Star Wars will always outpace in-house Space themes by lightyears, yet Lego did find room for FOUR different in-house Space themes alongside Star Wars in between the 2005 cinematic release of Ep. III and the 2015 cinematic release of Disney's Ep. VII. There'll be a three-year cinematic hiatus for the franchise after this year's release of Ep. IX, so I'm hoping Lego has something in store as so to take advantage of that brief break.
  14. I don't think normal minifigure heads would have been as popular for the general public (as opposed to AFOLs wanting parts reusability), as they don't look very good compared to other Simpsons toys. Like I'd said, if they had to have specialized heads, they could've taken more after the designs seen in the Brick Like Me episode instead, having their more intricate facial features printed rather than molded (thereby looking more consistent with the rest of the figure). I mean, Lego might as well have given the physical figures specialized torsos, legs, and arms while they were at it giving them those specialized heads, and yet the Lego-themed TV episode gives the characters designs more true to that of a traditional minifigure???
  15. Oh, regarding Gravity Falls, I guess I now have to wonder for what other reason @figura's Mystery Shack project was removed from review if the IP is still said to be acceptable for submission currently. Awhile ago, there were rumored to be two BrickHeadz dual packs based upon the show coming; so, before this revelation, I had figured that the project was removed from review due to it being based upon a property Lego will be officially representing a short time from then.
  16. There have been a few attempts already, including this one that's still active currently... Thomas the Tank Engine by patsamu4941 Hmmm, makes me wonder if @ScotNick now oughta try giving his own rendition a shot on Ideas... Flickr - LBSCR E2: Thomas the Tank Engine
  17. Well, there reportedly have been some signs of fatigue showing in certain areas for the franchise... Bloomberg - Star Wars Is Struggling to Win Over the Next Generation of Kids
  18. That's great to know regarding Gravity Falls, though I'm both intrigued and perplexed at the same time by TTTE's allowance. You see, Thomas & Friends as a franchise is outright OWNED by Mattel currently, thereby demoting it to nothing better than a mere toy franchise (think Hasbro's Transformers, Mattel's Masters of the Universe, My Little Pony, etc.). Hmmmm, maybe there is a loophole after all where Lego could instead license potential products based upon such after the original books rather than its TV adaptation???
  19. Huh, alright (I have neither). Well, if it wouldn't be of trouble to those who'd be willing, could someone here who does have an account see if the Thomas & Friends (i.e. Thomas the Tank Engine) franchise is eligible for Ideas? Likewise, is Disney's Gravity Falls now a prohibited license (given what we saw happen with @figura's project)?
  20. Is this IP list accessible to those who don't have a LEGO Account? I don't have an account myself, yet I'd still be quite interested in looking over this list in detail.
  21. I mean, if they had to have specialized heads, they could've been much more minifigure-esque like they'd been in Brick Like Me...
  22. Not to mention, City's previous Space lines didn't interfere with in-house Space themes outside of City. 2013's Galaxy Squad sat right in-between the releases of City's 2011 and 2015 Spaceport subthemes, while Alien Conquest was released the same year as City's first Spaceport subtheme (and that playtheme, iconically, was the only "Space" theme to have a non-extraterrestrial setting). *cough* Disney's Star Wars *cough*
  23. My distaste for the Series and the LEGO Simpsons theme overall comes primarily from those abhorrently specialized heads...
