  1. However many more projects will climb aboard before the January deadline, the Third 2017 Review will be a strange one I suspect, primarily since three of the projects are all nautical themed successors to The Old Fishing Store.
  2. Has someone personally confided these rumors to you, or have you read or heard of them elsewhere?
  3. First of all, I'm not a videogame guy; I've never really played any video game, save for a few classic arcade games a couple of times. But, I am fascinated by many of the novel back stories and plots of numerous videogames, particularly those of a alternate historical basis. The three prominent videogame franchises that I think could make for some incredible movies are the Wolfenstein, BioShock, and Fallout games specifically. These three franchises have had been pondered upon by various film studios for film adaptations, but have currently been put on the back burner or shelved. One other franchise that I'd like to see adapted for film is Crimson Skies; but currently, it may not have much relevance now. So what cinematic videogame franchise adaptations are you anticipating and/or wish for? Discussion of movies focused generally on videogames and/or videogaming (Wreck-It Ralph and Ready Player One, for example) is also allowed by the way.
  4. I didn't initially know what you meant by that, but then I looked at my post again...
  5. I do hope that the Gyrosphere parts will find some usage beyond the Jurassic World theme, and aren't simply dead end pieces limited to exclusive licensed usage. Three other recent dome pieces that we haven't seen used beyond their introductory sets are part numbers 85962, 88067, and 88068 (all pictured below left to right in respective order). So, bottom line, I'm just hoping Lego's Gyrosphere will find life beyond Jurassic World.
  6. Simple, but instantly recognizable! I like your usage of the fez piece in Trans. Black for the cockpit area.
  7. That dwarf beard from The Hobbit works quite nicely. Seeing this makes me realize how cool that helmet could be recolored in Bright Yellow.
  8. I certainly hope that will be case for at least this quarter final, as opposed to the Satyr once again.
  9. You know, I'm surprised to see a Gyrosphere involved in a major action sequence in this sequel, as I thought there wouldn't be much usage of them after the park shut down. That's for me cool to see, since Lego will now most likely be able to make more usage of the Gyrosphere parts in upcoming sets. Now since they're currently damaged and aged in this movie, perhaps Lego could recolor the Gyrosphere parts in Trans. Brown for a dingier look?
  10. The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas RuPauls Brick Race Achieves 10,000 Supporters
  11. That's... a very witty way of putting it.
  12. How about something like this, but with a second story? It may not have the curves like you mentioned, but it certainly would be a rather different Art Deco beauty. Roadarch - Former Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company Showroom, Buffalo, NY
  13. Here are a few particular architectural examples that would be cool to see as sets: The Eastern Columbia Building The Genesee Valley Trust Company Building Helsinki Central Railway Station
  14. Those rumors didn't fall through, as next year's modular turned out to be the Downtown Diner.
  15. Say, maybe this is how a modular Creator Expert train station could work.
  16. I'm liking these Castle designs so far, but I feel they would be just right if they had dual molded legs for boots. I certainly like your redesign of the Wolfpack logo on this homage take.
  17. Oooh, clever part usage there! Using "cheese grater" grill slopes recolored in Trans-yellow is just brilliant!
  18. I guess I more was proposing a automobile showroom, with the showroom on the first floor, and a couple of offices on the second floor. However, the showroom though would only be able to showcase no more than a single automobile. No, I was serious, but that is funny since that didn't even cross my mind when I had initially proposed the idea.
  19. How about an Art Deco/Raygun Gothic styled car dealership?
  20. I hope too see a constraction theme in the near future adopt a Deco/Teslapunk aesthetic and style, as opposed to the typical H. R. Giger look seen in the Bionicle theme. I was fascinated to see that style was pondered upon in preproduction concept art for villains in the Nexo Knights theme, as seen in this spread of concept art shown in the Nexo Knights Character Encyclopedia (upper right hand corner).
  21. By the way, when did we hear of our first rumors for 2014's Ultra Agents theme? While I remember first hearing rumors of the theme from news sites back in early January 2014, were there any earlier whisperings of it before? Why I'm asking, is because I'm just wondering if it may be too late at this point in the game to hear of any rumors of a new theme slatted for summer next year.
  22. I really dig your usage of the joysticks for the windshield.
  23. The thing is, I don't believe we've ever had Bigfig arms and hands in that lilac color before, so how could those have been obtained if this was a fake? I suppose someone could have painted over them for that color, maybe?
