Angry Birds was a one wave, one year theme. It didn't return for a second year in 2017, as you can see in the Brickset link I posted initially.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Jor El's newly recolored armor piece would pair quite nicely with the helmet and visor parts donned by the miners in the Power Miner theme's second year (as pictured below). -

Hey, I didn't even notice the arm printing initially! He sort has Man of Steel-like cuffs printed on them. I suppose you could pluck his arms and transplant them on a MoS Zod figure. -

Oh, now I see. Well that's just awesome! I certainly hope to see that armor piece in more metallic recolors in the future. Also, I'm really digging that crystalline pattern on Jor El's robe. Hmm, I presumed he would have a Daily Planet newspaper tile instead. Oh well, a Gotham Gazette one is nice to have either way. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Here's something I had pinned in one of my Pinterest boards that would fit the modular scale much more nicely. There are probably better examples out there, but this was one of the only pins I had in this board that is of a much smaller scale, as everything else I have pinned are either skyscrapers or cityscapes. -

I'd hope it would be something of a more elegant Art Deco aesthetic; put simply, less like Fallout, more like Bioshock's Rapture. -

Updating Superheroes minifigs with dual-molded legs
Digger of Bricks replied to Shahennian's topic in LEGO Licensed
All of those look great, particularly Thor and Captain America. I'm not sure if you would want to do this to your figure, but I think Thor would look even better if he had bare arms instead. By the way, I think this topic might be better suited for the Minifigure Customization subforum. -

Interesting, I initially presumed that Jor El simply shared the Calculator's white armor piece, but after this close up, it looks like he is wearing a white and grey dual molded/printed version of the part. Hopefully he has some nice torso prints, because the armor piece is starting to look too clunky to me. -
I hope the Satyr doesn't end up winning this game again. Sure, he may be better than any sort of costumed CMF, but still, of all the many great CMFs...

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It would certainly be nice if some of the inevitable animal suit CMFs in Series 18 could come with some complementary new animal molds as sidekicks, but I don't think that Lego feels like they need to change the status quo regarding that.- 5,959 replies

You know, I actually think Lego would make a figure like this for the City theme as a homage. Your choice of Black Widow's hairpiece recolored in Bright Red works perfectly. -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Before City, the Town theme back in 1997 did have a five set "Outback subtheme", so yeah, I too could plausibly see it happening. Not only would we likely get a koala from such a subtheme, but a kangaroo and/or joey also.- 5,959 replies

Dang, that's pretty cool!

Anything Art Deco/Streamlined Moderne really, but specifically, I don't know. I guess I would like to see much larger scale models done for the theme, something like this guy's work. Now something though I'd really like to see done for the theme would be fictional, vignette-like skyline sets, just like this one Instagram user's work.

N-Pop Girl versus Red Riding Hood? Hmm, well, I guess I'll just go with Red Riding Hood (a.k.a. S7 Grandma Visitor) in this case.

What old themes should lego bring back?
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know how many other people consider Adventurers to be a "classic" theme, but for me, I do also consider it as a classic theme. Classic themes are to me not themes belonging to a certain era or "golden age", but instead, themes that follow an archetypical storyline or premise, unlike supplementary media driven themes such as Bionicle and Ninjago. Now 2018 will be the twentieth anniversary of the Adventurers theme, so perhaps there will be something special in store. I wish it were a new theme, but I'm afraid we would have already heard about that by now. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting, I didn't hear about this before. Now just this morning, The Brothers Brick posted this article about three of these Certified Professional made sets for Renault, only available in limited quantities. Nothing in the article though mentions anything about the polybags. Brothers Brick - Renault is Celebrating 40 Years of its Formula One Racing Team with Unique LEGO Certified Sets [News] -
Dang, your rendition of that is still just the best!

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Has anyone on this topic ever before suggested the possibility of a koala? That's an animal I definitely could see being introduced either in a new Outback subtheme for the City theme, or for a hypothetical "Outback Guy" CMF archetype for a future Collectable Minifigure series. Now as far as recolors go, does anyone think that chimpanzee mold seen in the S5 Zookeeper and S7 Jungle Boy CMFs could be recolored and reprinted as a baby orangutan?- 5,959 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
A while ago on this topic, there was some discussion about the hypothetical possibility that the second half of 2018 may give us some Teen Titans based/inspired sets, given that the third season of Young Justice, the live action Titans TV show, and the theatrical animated Teen Titans movie are all premiering the same year. So regarding the live action TV show particularly, an official image of actor Brenton Thwaites as Robin was just released. Screen Rant - First Look at Brenton Thwaites as Robin in DC's Titans I wonder how popular this show will turn out to be, and whether or not if it may influence future DC sets, comic based or otherwise. -
