LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Yes. No new elements or re-colours this time. But haven't checked on my own, so don't "hit the messenger" -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Capparezza replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
New minifigure set for Halloween. Has been reported on a german website already, found in Billunds Legoland store. It is rumored to cost 7,99 € in Germany, release should be this or next week. -
Whoah! What a layout, this thing is massive! I was pretty amused about the can of Coke moving around at the table, very cool idea to make a time-lapse. Any idea about the piece count for the track parts only?

Dang! This is a beautiful diorama. The mechanic working on the boiler (swinging on the crane) is cool. The muddy road on the left is also a nice detail (even if the bars should be down, when a loco is passing by :D ).

1:25 Eritrean 0-4-0T Locomotive "202 series"
Capparezza replied to Plastic_Goth's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wonderful rendition. It's funny, I watched a documentary in German television about the Eritrean Railway just a couple days ago (you can watch it on YouTube here). Thanks a lot for linking that great video, too! -
Amazing model, sweet to look at, just like the real thing I'd also go for light (blueish?) grey.

9v straight and curved track instruction sheet question
Capparezza replied to Jetflap's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I do have a couple of 9V rail boxes still unopened somewhere in my basement. But I haven't yet dared to tear one open... Maybe I can be persuaded to do so I did open one a couple of years ago, but if my memory serves me well there was no instruction sheet in the box. -
2x Easter Bunny Hut, 1€ each... couldn't help but buy

PF tracks/switch not lining up?
Capparezza replied to IHadMegaBloksAsAKid's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Interesting, first time I hear about this issue. Is there info available when this problem occured? As "older" PF tracks don't have this problem, how "old" do they have to be? -
And I would (dare to) say: Don't restore it! Leave it as it is. I once was in the same ballpark: Every piece of LEGO I owned had to be in perfect or at least good condition. Everything scratched or with faded prints got thrown into a special bin to never see daylight again. But then I realized: LEGO is a toy and toys are meant to be played with. Even some newer parts from 1 year old sets look a bit used, having dents or scratches after my kid played with them. I think this "patina" or imperfection gives the bricks a special kind of charme when used in builds. Use them as they are and don't be ashamed about the look! Be proud that this piece has actually been used!

How did you come out of your Dark Ages?
Capparezza replied to LegoModularFan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What a nice story :) Just wanted to give you a thumbs up and say that it's good to see someone having so much fun with the studded stuff. I like your attitude!- 62 replies

I'd wager they know about problems with that part by now. My 2 replacement clips for the Ship-In-A-Bottle arrived yesterday...

Oh, damn. No glue involved? I'm pretty impressed about the clutch power.

Are there any German Lego train clubs?
Capparezza replied to Carefree_Dude's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Even if not a strict "Trains club", Doctor Brick might be another option for you. Howevery, you would need to speak German of some sort See the link for Train stuff: https://www.doctor-brick.de/forums/lego-eisenbahn-und-monorail.27/ -
Sorry for quoting myself, but as I recently had time to contact LEGO via their support homepage, I can now state the following: - On the support page, you choose the set you need a replacement part for - You can adjust the amount of parts you'd like to request (it would be logical to me that LEGO restricts it to the amount of parts used in this specific set, but haven't tested) - LEGO will either get back to you with questions or ship you the requested amount of replacement parts I have checked all the reddish-brown clips on the Ship-In-A-Bottle. So far I have 2 broken ones, the others show no sign of stress marks / white spots. @jonwil So, as you might already have read here, indeed the brown parts seem to be susceptible to breaking.

Hilarious! Great little scenery and the "shooting" fits in very well. And I, too, find it very cool that you decided to hide the technic aspect so well.

Yeah, it's happening to me as well. I have several older sets in my backlog but as well some newer sets that I have bought and "hoarded". At the moment I don't have much free time, but I hope this is changing soon... I was about to build some of the older ones (from mid-80ies to beginning of 90-ies) and make a review. I do not have the intention to sell any of the sets at the moment. But I'm feeling more and more pressure from my other half to do "something" about them

The harvester is looking great. And to me it looks much better than the Technic one from this year -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Capparezza replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
A bookstore (second-hand?) or maybe an antiques store makes totally sense. This on ground level and living space in the upper floors. -
Whoa, baseplates for 1$??? Must have been some trainee misprinting the price tag...

Hello there, @dtomsen. This is looking really good. No dramatic changes to the original, as far as I can see, but some small improvements. And the colour scheme looks more appeasing to me. Do you have any idea about parts availability, can this be built from currently available bricks? (when I say currently available, I think about the official sources we have through LEGO, so either PAB or any means through the online shop)

Nice one, so much cute little builds. Very good builds for that scale. I like it

I will not ask for any quantity, but just take what they give me

There was some speculation about Reddish Brown parts and why they break so often, already. Seems that indeed the mixture for this colour is somehow influencing part endurance. I am currently not at home and cannot claim any replacement yet. But I will inspect the other clips when I'm back, just to make sure there are no whitespots which would indicate future problems with these parts. If you are interested how many replacements I get, I can report back?

Reddish brown clip broken on my "Ship in a Bottle"-Set. It's that one here: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=15712&idColor=88#T=C&C=88. It just broke while attaching one of the sails. And no, I'm not rude to my LEGO, I applied normal force while doing so. Looking to get a replacement by LEGO.
