  1. Went on a shopping spree... Lego Speed Champions 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback 75884 & Lego Speed Champions 75878 - Bugatti Chiron for €8 each LEGO Classic 900-Piece Creative Brick Box for €14 LEGO Classic Orange Creativity Box 10709 Building Kit for €2 Modular Winter Vacation - 31080 | Creator 3-in-1 | LEGO Shop for €13 Couldn't help, but I have to grab when sets are marked down like this
  2. That would be awesome, but I wouldn't count on LEGO doing a Zoo anytime soon. We did have Zoos in DUPLO already, but it seems LEGO thinks that bigger kids don't like animals anymore ...
  3. Well, that sounds like a perfect fit. I like it However, I was unable to find any ressources online that would affirm that naming. Did you come up with this on your own?
  4. Yeah, and Dr. Brick is overseeing work... don't let him make you nervous
  5. @Paperinik77pk Holey Moley! That's looking sweet! I totally love those old sets and this is a wonderful rendition of that little steamer. I'm wondering how that Velleman sound generator works. There must be some input to get the speed of the train from? Looking forward to when you've integrated it into your build.
  6. I guess that's the reason it has taken them so long - they must have had an awful time constructing Voltron Even if I'm not into this theme and won't buy Voltron, I have to admit it's looking damn good.
  7. Uh, this is awesome! As @makoy said, a little bit more "splash" around the leviathan and it is perfect. Wonderful job!
  8. Nice article, yes. But no mention of Kiddicraft and that "interlocking" with "studs" was already invented before the LEGO brick. I think the fact that LEGO just improved an idea and was not the sole inventor of the "binding brick" should be mentioned. Makes me a little sad... without Hilary Fisher Page and others we wouldn't have those wonderful pieces of ABS in our hands today
  9. Hey, that's looking nice! I have been thinking about what it would look like if you extend the lower wood beams to the outside of the masonry, something similar to this:
  10. Haha, nice! That is looking good. If that works out well, I don't see any problem when running on the tracks.
  11. Interesting solution with those 6 normal studs + 4 halfpins... how is the long-time stability? Holding up well, especially through curves and switches?
  12. Nobody knows yet...
  13. I don't know if it came up already, but the embassy forum looks out of style compared to the rest. Looks like the default Forum template or so...
  14. Take a look at https://www.promobricks.de/lego-wandkalender-gutschein-6-gegen-polybag-30499-eintauschen/62501 It's German, but as you only asked for a photo, I think you might not mind Seems this one has already been a gift at Toys'r'us and Müller (German shop).
  15. Thanks for the thorough review. Nice to finally see this set in real. @JopieK Any word about the battery life? Which batteries have you used (Rechargables or not) and have you made a test how long they last running the whole train?
  16. So funny and a very good take on a classic Western set! I can clearly hear that guy with the 5 aces shout out: "All 3 thumbs up for this review!"
  17. Oh wow. Going the conclusion from "that female" to all "women" is a little far fetched, isn't it? I'm not the one extrapolating here... we've been joking about 1 specific incident. Going the way of charging me with prejudice because of this is definitely not the way to go, either. If you are willing to stay inclusive, then please keep in mind that English is not my first language. So that first sentence, that clearly aroused you so much, may not have the meaning you've been putting into it. And I will try to stay totally serious in the future to avoid such misconceptions. I don't know about that terror you have mentioned nor the feelings connected to this act. But as you can see I'm trying to take a bit of the hard feelings out of the discussion and try to be more constructive to keep up that good community feeling we are having here on EB. And to the rest: Sorry for all the off-topic....
  18. I don't quite get your comment? It's not unusual to find out that the other half of population is more attracted to the beer-drinking, gas-guzzling-car-driving, fitness-studio-hardened and thus more "manly" stereotypes than being drawn to a LEGO-building "nerd" driving along in a Fiat Panda... It seems that humanity can't just neglect 100.000 years of evolution in half a century (in neither half of the population). It was not my intention to harm anyone with my comment, it was merely a reflection on the facts of daily life.
  19. Oh, look at this! LEGO going the "Service Packs" way again? Some nice additions to an existing City Layout, without working through the extensive Pick a brick list...
  20. Most often 1C and 2B. However, answer to 1 depends on the set and what purpose I've bought it for. If it's something that is worth to show off, I will display it.
  21. Hehe, yepp. Let's hope that female has got some brains to work out the end result... Lately, my significant other is a bit bored because of my obsession with those ABS parts. I think I need to cut down my enthusiasm a little bit when I'm at home
  22. 1) 9V Trains 2) Legoland Town 3) System Town If someone knows how to insert a YT-video on here, let me know over PM, thanks . Meanwhile follow the link to watch a marvellous ad for Legoland Town from the 80ies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rAhBwx6M3A&list=PLFoXkLQjCanVnhbB6pJemcX8rFcrCJZlA
  23. Thanks a lot to everyone who makes HBM available to the public! I have started only with No. 26, but so far your magazines have always been a good read with lots of inspiration. Happy 10th Anniversary and best wishes for the next 10!
  24. The Ambulance looks pretty good, the interior of the Hospital is nice (especially that trick with the Light brick, makes me smile a little). But that Helicopter looks as it wouldn't belong in this set and just happened to be thrown in "accidentally" *cough*.... In my opinion, it would've been better to skip the Heli and instead make the Hospital a bit wider inside.
  25. I wonder where that Roller Coaster will go... but I imagine there is still some place left on the left side Good work, Günther! Regards, Chris
