(Help) 4 speed gearbox
JJ2 replied to Oliver 79's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Have you tried rebuilding it? I have built the same gearbox and it had very little friction, also when building it keep the parts a little to far apart and loose and when finished push them together slightly and test friction. -
[MOC] 4x4 Super Crawler V2
JJ2 replied to JJ2's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks! They are from a Wolf Pro RC that I got at a thrift store for 1$, I spray painted the hubs black and I stuffed the large tank sprocket in the back of the hub and they act as a adapter for Lego hubs. Not going to give away any hints but it has much better performance than my V1 Super Crawler being 1/2 the weight. -

[WIP] Bowler Defender
JJ2 replied to Epic Technic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looking better but I think the body is WAY to tall if you look at the two pictures you can see the front hood is about 1 stud to tall and the body is at least 2-3 studs to tall. Looking forward to the next update!- 53 replies

[MOC] Ford Focus Second Gen
JJ2 replied to scynox's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's called console That is a kingpin incline and it moves the steering pivot closer the the center of the wheel (if you did not know that already) Anyway great MOC, think you nailed the look of the car even with the panda coloring- 23 replies

Porsche Pricing & Availability
JJ2 replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yea I was reading that, but the funny thing is on yours truly Eurobricks, the Technic forum is the 2nd most popular with topics and post count which is weird since so many people hate it... Sorry for this off-topic post. -

42056 - Porsche Speculation
JJ2 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The video has been "rempved by user" but I was lucky enough to see the video. there are 4 new pieces, a new red gearbox peace that I think holds the 3L transmission slider, of course the 2 new panels, and the front has a new black wheel hub based off the 42000 one but has pin holes instead of ball joints. -

Could be better if you make the +0+ yellow lift arms +00+ and use a 3L axle to make HOG steering. -

Very compact and good bodywork! I wish I could build like that... every time I try to build a car it looks like a yugo. -

Looks so good with the white-blue color scheme and 3rd party tires. I was impressed with the performance, how fast did the 4 buggy motors drain the batteries? -
Servo problem?
JJ2 replied to technicfan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Try using an extension cable in between the IR and servo. -

Looks good I like the headlights and "Suicissors" The "3rd differential" is not a real differential in terms of vectoring torque but it is just an adder, the 3rd differential should be in between the front and rear axles. here is an example of a front rear and center (3 differential) setup
