  1. How exactly is this going to help anything? This is on a non LEGO website and there is nothing saying that LEGO will even look or care about this.
  2. FWIW, I use 1:48 as my scale because its 10 feet = 8 studs. some others use 1:44 which O scale in the model railroading world so you can buy scale decals and such for models of real things. If you havent seen it, I recommend bookmarking sariel's scale tool found here: http://studs.sariel.pl/
  3. DUDE! These things are AWESOME! Love me some great mecha and you did some great builds in LEGO that really capture the spirit of the originals!
  4. Looks really great! I need to get some of these parts and start building.
  5. Hey @msx80 Would it be possible to have a way to adjust the colors or add a back ground image in the page setup dialogue box? and is there a way to save those settings so that I am not always having to reset them?
  6. If you want to PM me a link to the file I would be happy to open it on my system and save the blueprint file. I have 32GB RAM and I have opened many large files.
  7. Oh I have never seen that one! Your model looks great! Good luck in the contest!
  8. @ecmo47 Looks pretty good. I have a small suggestion to make. most of the railway guns that I have seen have the center section being supported on two smaller cars that make up basically large bogies. You can see that here: A similar solution would help your model have the ability to "swoosh" and be a little more accurate to the real thing.
  9. I am not sure what you mean by "part" file. This software only works for things created in LDD so the individual part files like from LDraw do not work here.
  10. You will need to make sure you have the latest version of java installed on your system...
  11. Love this one! Saw it on your Flickr and hoped you would do instructions for it!
  12. Looking great!
  13. Hello Arjen, I believe that you can export from Stud.io to LXF? If you can you can use the LDD building guide. This will only work for part thats are in the LDD catalog tho. If not the only way to see a building guide in LDraw/Stud.io is to have the steps manually created as you build.
  14. This looks great! Thanks for bringing it out. I will be downloading it now.
  15. Rebrickable.com has a better way to convert LDD to Bricklink. You can create a custom list there and add the LDD file, it will catch some errors such as color or how LDD splits a steering wheel into 2 parts. Then you can export to bricklink either directly or via xml file.
  16. I had asked about an output for BlueRender, @msx80's other rendering program and he said it could probably be done. I am not sure how soon that will come about tho. Edit - apparently I cant read hahaha
  17. This thing is AWESOME! Can you add some detail about how the crane moves? I would love to see the mechanism!
  18. The asset.lif is a different file you will need the db.lif file. I have it in my drop box if you need a link for download, send me a PM.
  19. Its more an issue that they are cached on your computer so they work for you. You will need to host them on Flickr or Imgur and then use the [ img ] tags to add them to the thread.
  20. There are no rare parts used in that set so you can easily brick link that for much less than a sealed set or even a used set....
  21. I also agree with @Ron Dayes. This should be for any scale model of any real world object. I agree with the 95% threshold maybe even 90% because we are working with such a defined, integer medium. You cant realistically get smaller than 1/2 plate in detail.
  22. is that using the ballast pattern that @SavaTheAggie showed on his flickr?
  23. Looks great! Do you have instructions? If not would you mind if I made some based on the LDD?
