  1. Looks great! what size drivers are you getting? Was this designed in Stud.io?
  2. hey @sed6, I recommend reading thru it but most of the good info is found in the first 15 pages or so. I know that there was a user that has left called Bullbile or something and he had a lot of great posts breaking down how the lighting worked. I was able to render your train LXF and it was a little better:
  3. For instructions, I highly recommend BluePrint. It uses an algorithm to build from the bottom to the top. its also very easy to then re-order the pieces to have instructions that are readable.
  4. It seems your LXF is not a public link. I recommend a bricksafe.com account for sharing LXFs. this way your personal Google drive is not vulnerable or exposed.
  5. Like I said, it's the most buildable but there would have to be some tweaks to get it working. I would do two of the axles with blind drivers.
  6. That is a common problem to have. I usually find that using Rebrickable is a better way to get the parts list. You find a guide I created here: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/159619-guide-using-rebrickable-to-retrieve-parts-list-from-ldd/
  7. I have noticed that there seems to be a lot of posts where someone shares an LDD file and then someone else has trouble uploading directly to bricklink. I have found a method that works pretty well and I would like to share it here. Please share your feedback and feel free to link to this topic if you find someone in the same situation. Supertruper's Guide to retrieving parts from LDD using Rebrickable Things you will need: Rebrickable account Bricklink or brickowl account LDD file of something you want to build Here are the steps after you have the things above. 1. Log into Rebrickable and navigate to the "My Custom Lists" section 2. On the left click "Add New List" 3. (Optional) rename your list using the "Edit List Details" button 4. Click "Import Parts" and browse or drag your LDD file 5. Click "Append Parts" From here the parts list will load but there will be color errors and Minifig parts do not come up correctly. There will also be no prints selected. Any printed parts will need to be updated. 6. Once all the parts are adjusted click "Buy Parts" from here you can add them to your Bricklink or Brickowl account Thanks for reading, please don't hesitate to provide feedback or corrections. Please also feel free to ask for help here and I will try to help you out as much as I know how.
  8. So I want to get these new set because I love classic cars. Does anyone happen to know when the next double VIP will be? I thought they usually ran one in March.
  9. Hey @LegoMonorailFan Is there a consensus for a curve radius pattern and track spacing for this system? I have a bunch of bricks and would like to go about building some track parts to maybe display with a lug soon. If there is no consensus then maybe a minimum curve radius?
  10. This is listed as "Minifig" scale can you clarify what the scale is either as 1:ratio or how many studs per meter or foot?
  11. That looks great!
  12. LDD doesnt allow it but it is something you can do in mecha bricks or Stud.io.
  13. Looks totally mad! love it. Have you seen the trick where you use Speed Champions wheel covers with those tires and some smaller wheels inside? @ER0L introduced me to it in one of his great builds. Make a HUGE difference.
  14. If you would like to verfiy it as a bug, you can PM me about the file and I will see if I can get it to work on my computer. I also do not have frequent crashes both on my PC or Mac.
  15. Images was is large
  16. LDD was updated earlier this year to 4.3.11 You can see the discussion here: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/157713-ldd-4311-update-discussion/
  17. I will be building this for sure! Great MOC!! Love the wings, so iconic.
  18. Right but compared to some of his other great creations, this one is the most buildable I have seen
  19. Hey @Murdoch17 Didnt you originally have this in orange but the cab was only available in an obscure Arctic set? If you are still wanting to build this in orange, I found that the cab piece came in a different set that had a print. It would only take a minor amount of work to remove the print with some ultra fine sandpaper. Here is a link to the print https://store.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=45406pb002#T=S&C=4&O={"color":4,"iconly":0}
  20. I hate to bump an old topic, but I have worked with @krispy to make some instructions available that aren't from LDD. I updated a few small parts of the build to add some strength to the main body. I have uploaded the MOC to my ReBrickable Page. It is quite the fun build. I have it in the brick and it is quite impressive and very swooshable. I just need to find the right minifig for the pilot. Happy building!
  21. I hate to bump an old topic, but I have worked with @krispy to make some instructions available that aren't from LDD. I updated a few small parts of the build to use more modern SNOT bricks so that the build is sturdier for the side pods. I have uploaded the MOC to my ReBrickable page. It is quite the fun build. I have it in the brick and it is quite impressive and very swooshable. Happy building!
  22. Hey @Tyke, It takes quite a bit of work to go from the LDD to blueprint and then arrange them into readable instructions. Here are a couple examples 1. This is a model that has been output with no modification from me after importing to blueprint. Link This was the output settings used: 2. This is what that same file looks like after manually adjusting each step to create a more TLG style booklet. Link As you can see, a lot goes into making instructions that look great and it takes a lot of time. For some of the larger models I will edit each page with photoshop and then arrange the pages with indesign to produce a final booklet like this. Link All of it takes time but with some practice, I can whip up instructions for a model with less than 200 pieces in about an hour. If you would like to see some more examples of my instructions, you can see them on my ReBrickable page here. To answer the grouping question, I will group the main parts together in LDD so that I can work with them easy but as you can see in a lot of my models, there are some small callouts for a few pieces here and there. I wont have those as separate groups in LDD, I will just generate them in blueprint directly. If you don't know, there are a couple of different menus depending on where you right click. If you right click on a piece you can edit the piece or use it as the base orientation for the model. for the second option, it is very useful in submodels to help orient the parts in a way that makes them easier to build and see on the page. If you right click on a step, you can move the step, rotate the step, create a sub model, etc. I find for me that I dont go more than 2 levels of sub model. After that, the model should be split into multiple books or the build should be shown in a way that will keep the sub model depth down. As a rule for all of my models and steps, everything connects to something. No floating pieces. I hate building models that just dont stay together. I might be able to make a video guide if anyone is interested.
  23. Oh man that looks great! looks like it might actually be buildable too. Would you mind sharing the file for it?
  24. Yeah I saw after some searching that yours is 6 FEET long and th 1:250 scale is 3.3 times bigger ish at 6.4 METERs long. Units are important
