I used some tricks to get the real wheels attached but since I am getting back into LEGO after about 15 years out of the game, I havent used many of the new pieces. I included another LDD from a different thread that used a different method to attach the rear wheels but I didnt think it was very strong overall. Thank you! Thanks man! Like I said in the original post I really wanted to have 2 minifigs in the cab so 4 wide was out. plus 4 wide looks too skinny to me. Like this? Here are some more variations I put together this evening. This last one shows more detail of the containers and the backs of the trucks. The trailer shown is for the 40' containers and is 33 studs long.

Me too! The Dark Blue is great and the blue container is medium blue. I need to do a few more shots to show the detail on the back.

I am trying to get the sacel right for these things I love American style trucks and trains. I am using 1 foot = 2 plates scale. This works out to have about a 7 wide truck and its important to me to have 2 mini figs fit in the cab so I have to try to get a 6 wide windsheild to look good. I had another thread with an octan truck and the nose was too stubby. Here is a render of a second attempt at 7 wide. The containers on the trailer are 6 wide because actual containers are slightly narrower than box trailers here in the states. The front of the tuck is 6 wide and the sleeper is 7 wide. future trailers will be 7 wide as well. The longer container is 42 studs long to be about right for a 53 foot container and the shorter one is 32 studs long that simulates a 40 foot container. I used a container design that was published in the 14th issue of Railbricks Magazine. I believe that the designer was Lolasso.

Why do you say that? This truck is only 7 wide with the mirrors. The cab section is 6 wide + the wheel well and the wheels dont stick out as much as TLG official city sets. The more I look at it, the more the short nose bugs me. The wind sheild is too tall I think. Any one have any ideas?

My first post on Euro Brick I modeled this after a 3000 Gallon Tank on a modern Kenworth Chassis. I have been building lego for 15+ years but I dont have a place to store my collection so its at my parents house until my wife and I buy a house. Alas, I am stuck building with LDD. I want my future layout to be all 8-wide, American Style trains (I love trains too haha) so that dictates that things should be build at about 2 plates per foot scale. I decided that means most big tracks will end up being 7 wide. 7 wide is very hard to build in as I have discovered! Here is a render of my first attempt at making a 7 wide vehicle.
