Only the Mitgardians truly get to choose, but when the rest are placed personal preferences are taken into account. I have no intention of participating, just letting those who weren't members during the last challenge know. The standard contest rules weren't listed either. Someone should get to posting those. -
Oh, great! Now I'm imagining Johnny Thunder being portrayed by Paul Hogan, like his character Lightning Jack. Back to Bionicle; from the material set forth, it seems like the creation of the MoUP is something that happened in the distant past. There is precedent in animation that the art used to portray some historical or mythical event may be different than that of the current events. In this way, the story of Ekimu and Makuta could be part of a narration, and then the show could be in a 3D animation world. The Toa themselves need to learn the story, along with the audience new to Bionicle. I haven't gone through all the images available from the presentations. Do any of the images show the Toa in the animation style of the video clip? I know there is an image that is believed to be the Toa coming down like meteorites. This is merely a wild supposition that just occurred to me.

Wonderful little scene. There is enough quality here to make some UoP DoH claims. If the people of Ambalar are in need of more metals, the Nestlands Clans are willing to trade. You may find the dwarf mined ore less available given the current sentiments and situation in Mitgardia.

I'm with BC on this one, vegetation covering a flat roof doesn't really qualify as a 'roofing' technique. Your other recent build would fit that claim better. UoP DoH +1 on the other claims.

I just don't get the logic of how the golden masks are the same shape as the masks the Toa already wear. I understand the business logic; to make more use of the mold, but what is the story logic here? I never followed the original Bionicle storyline (none of Lego's in house IP actually), so how does that work? Are they shape-shifting masks? Do the Toa arrive without masks, and the mask becomes the color of the power? Did Ekimu and Makuta have some special knowledge about how the masks were to be shaped for the future wearers? Were the Toa somehow created to match the masks? ------------------------------------- The sets themselves are wonderful. Lots of parts I can use for my MOCs. The art for the 'series' is rather uninteresting to me, so I may just ignore the story like I did with the previous one.

Using Duplo bricks as structure elements?

Duplo isn't just for filler. I got some nice used 2x2 pearl gold Duplo bricks and incorporated them into a build. Look behind the flags. I also find that some Duplo detail pieces make for wonderful additions to builds. I have several MOCs planned that use Duplo parts prominently. -
I can give you a +1 on the Countryside Scene, but the roof rake credit doesn't apply here. What is meant by this is the detailing on the underside of a roof overhang.

On the Trek issue, I read somewhere on IMDb that there was a planned Voyager followup. Back to Bionicle, those green skull spiders seem to be yellowish green. On one of the packages there appears to be a two-toned skull spider. I'm betting a there will be a pack of these in various colors.

The Nestlands Clans of the Armored Eagle Goddess are descended from tribes of northmen who traveled south millennia ago, and are nearly to a one light flesh. It is good to see that there are still northmen who carry the color. We of the Nestlands are proudly Kaliphlin now, but that is owing to the fact that our land is sacred and being the area where our Goddess shall return to flesh. Should Shay Frostfang find himself in Thorshaven, he might want to acquaint himself with the new Nestlands Clans Ambassador to Mitgardia, Ice-maiden Ryssa Kend. (I had best get on building her Embassy/Trading Post.) -
The art reminds me of some of the comics, just with limited animation.

About the coins, the 10-20-30-40 sprue is gone. The 2013 Castle Dragon Mountain (70403), 2013 Castle Knights Accessory Set (850888), Classic Pirate Set (850839), 2013 Catle King's Castle (70404), Serious Play Starter Kit (2000414), and Serious Play Identity and Landscape Kit (2000430) all have the chrome gold bar and 1, 5, 10, and 20 coins, not on a sprue. Those were what was supposed to be in those PoTC sets, but many got the pearl gold version. These seem to be a replacement for the classic sprue. Maybe the Treasure Island (70411) will have them, as we have only seen the early box mock-up prelim.

I wouldn't mind a Mulan in the garden set. They could give us the 'great stone dragon' that falls apart. Mushu might be difficult to depict at that size. Or we could get Mulan and her father, either at the beginning of the film or at the end.

The empty pedestal makes me think that something has gotten out. One of the leaked prelims was of a spider-like figure, with a gold 'skull spider' mask at the bottom. Could it be that this is where that mask was stored, and it was stolen by some (or escaped to do) evil?

Brain Attack? I bought one of them (Ogrum) for parts on the Lego Shop, and got the black Brain Attack creature. Those creatures actually have some great design, but since I never watched the show I can't comment on the story behind it. Looking at the prelims again, it seems that the skull spiders might be control masks. The position of the face on the skull spiders when compared to the character faces makes me think it is a good mask/bad mask situation.

There is a hair salon in the upcoming Friends line that has those scissors. It even uses the life preserver piece as the handles of scissors in the sign. It was in the bank of preliminary images that got deleted. I saves some of them.

I have this interesting idea using wedge bricks, but will have to wait until the Nestlands Embassy is done because most of my supply is there now. I have to get back to that tomorrow. Lots of bricks are spread out on my small table, and I have yet to fully dismantle the Nestlands Trading Post in Mpya Stedor. I am also wondering if I should dig out some more pink for the Nestlands Embassy build. I think I have just the way to make it seem really creepy. There are also a few other ideas that need testing. -

I never cared about the story and plots Lego devised. I have no interest in building anyone's IP, even Lego's. I buy to build what I want, not what I am told it is supposed to be. That is Lego for me. I am excited about the prospect of new parts, and existing parts in new colors. The original Bionicle had some wonderful parts that I missed out on, and that I now have to Bricklink for.

Actually as someone who has worked a garden, the dirt is tilled up, so brown above green makes sense here. For the pumpkins, I wouldn't attach them to the top of the leafy pieces. Instead I would use some Indiana Jones whips attached to the top of the pumpkins, and stretch the whip out around the plant part with a lime 1x1 round plate on top.
