    The Lego CMF Medusa is likely a nod to the classic cinema Medusa rather than the Greek myth description. I am not sure, but I believe the one that Lego used as a referent was designed by Ray Harryhausen.

    Yes, but gorgon is the proper term for what Medusa is.There were many different gorgons.

    That is easy. Just create your sigfig. Then post a picture of him/her announcing his/her allegiance to the guild of your choice in that guild's thread, with an introduction/background story. You can create a full MOC intro thread if you wish, with a link in the guild's thead. In the beginning of GOH you also had to include some form of flag in the guild's colors in the intro (this could be brick built.) That was the only place the guild's colors were required, unlike LCC (now LoR). That has fallen by the wayside.

    Though it is not really a shipboard pirate movie, The Princess Bride. The Dread Pirate Roberts could be done well with the new do-rag, but a Fezzik fig would be a big want. "Inconceivable!"

    About the Sinister Six, there have been a couple of variations. IIRC they have included Electro, Scorpion, Shocker, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Rhino, and Spider-man. Doc Ock started the original group, correct? I believe this was after Adrian Tombs (the original Vulture) lost his fortune and company. For a while a variation of the group worked for the Kingpin. The Green Goblin started his version. I don't recall Sandman ever being part of the large group, though he did team up with Rhino, which is the set we are getting.

    Oooh! Big photography discussion to copy and read later. One of my cats knocked over the major exterior of my Nestlands Embassy in Nocturnus. I still have several parts still intact, and will scale the build back to be an interior/exterior vig like the one for Mitgardia. Tried to post this on my new tablet earlier, but I am still getting used to the touchscreen.

    Bad news, one of my cats knocked over the main body of my Nestlands Embassy in Nocturnus. I've made the decision to change the build to a partial vig rather than the whole.

    If this is supposed to be a set idea kind of challenge, then the restriction should be a part count range per field. A min-max limit for each size range using Lego's actual sets as a guide is more appropriate.

    I wasn't referring to copyrighted material, but custom prints designed by the seller on actual Lego parts. Citizen Brick has some nice designs. I have used Brickforge and Saber Scorpion decals. My objection to other building system brands is quality.

    I will buy custom printed Lego parts and aftermarket items from vendors that intend their products be used with Lego. Knock off brands, though, are usually low quality plastic and their color pallet is too far off Lego's to be useful.

    Given that the look of the Winter Soldier in the movie is nearly identical to the image of the character in the 2009 Marvel Encyclopedia, there shouldn't be any comics vs. movie issue with respect to the fig.

    I just ordered some Series 12 yesterday, and no Series 13 listed. Now both are listed in the shop. I wonder if some Jan. 1 items will be available for pre-order after Christmas.

    Scooby-Doo could be made similar to the longstanding Lego monkey, which is about the correct proportional size for him. (I always thought that monkey was out of proportion.)

    For Civil War to happen as a movie, Spider-man and Wolverine have to have joined the Avengers. They have major rolls in the storyline. Also given that ASM killed Norman Osborn, he can't be Iron Patriot in Dark Reign unless Marvel reboots Spider-man again, or resurrects him. There are also several others that have to be established. Doctor Strange is one of them, as it is his home that the refugee heroes are hiding out in.

    And I doubt any of the animals will have the major comedic commentary of Robin Williams.

    While the artwork may be similar, the story is nowhere near Ferngully. I have seen that movie over thirty times. I have it now on DVD.
