The beard on the King does look like a recolor, but there looks to be hair as part of this crown mold.

I just had to fix about a third of my Nesltands Embassy in Nocturnus. It got damaged on Friday when I was putting away Christmas presents. The long box was a little cumbersome, and I didn't see the build in the dark. I have to get back to building tomorrow. The last thing I did was a creature for the Bionicle contest. I still have to photograph that, but I may add it to a future build here.

There are seven principal cast members, Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, Raj, Penny, Bernadette, and Amy. All those were quite well done by the designer of the Idea. Apparently Lego has decided that a living room with a couch, a table, a few chairs, some detailed background items, and seven friends wouldn't be a breach of their set standards. Given that Raj no longer has to have alcohol to talk in front of women, there is very little about the scene visually that Lego should have a problem with. All the figs are dressed in their normal attire, and Lego is under no obligation to recreate the characters' conversations on the packaging, in the instructions, or in any of the promotional material. Furthermore, Lego Ideas is driven by the teen to adult market. There is a minimum age limit to even submit an idea. Fandom is a major part of how some sets get the 10,000 supporters. As an AFOL, the parts potential here has me giddy. As a fan of the show, minifig versions of the characters are a major want. As to the idea of a Lego show, I think the best way is to have Sheldon comment about supporting something on Lego Ideas and use the term AFOL. Or possibly Sheldon could create a Lego Trains MOC. Neither would be out of character for him.

A dark blue Skull Spider! To the left of LOSS. I thought we were getting four colors of Skull Spiders. Gali's image makes me think the Skull Spider there is two-toned, silver and blue.

Maybe they should include Priya. As Raj's sister she would round out the list. The report that has been linked says eight figs, but shows the preliminary designed seven. The image has the Lego chihuahua in place of Cinnamon, who is a yorkie. I wonder if Lego will try to do a recolor, since Ideas only uses existing Lego parts.

When it comes to the S12 Princess, she has a frog as an accessory. The story is that the princess kisses the frog and he becomes a prince. She saves the prince from a life as a frog, and therefore is the hero of that tale. Just because she is a princess in a fine gown does not make her not a hero. As to the item in the Alien Trooper's hand, it appears to be this.

The image next to the Evil Wizard looks like a stylized exploding CMF case box with the bags flying out from it.

While the show uses some coarse humor, the basic living rooms and lab areas are pretty benign. A Lego version of Leonard and Sheldon's great room would have plenty of visual interest, and the characters in Lego should have some great details. As a regular fan, I have to say that the show does not denigrate the type of people the actors are portraying. It is merely a show that puts the viewer squarely into the world of the intelligent and the awkward. It is a situation comedy, so a good deal of the humor comes from these personalities dealing with exaggerated circumstances. I am watching the show on FOX right now (syndicated episodes).

The Paleontologist looks to be holding a bone and a printed 1x1 round tile, probably with a fossil image. Given the fact we are getting Jurassic World sets some time in the future, this may be an allusion to the original film.

Bill Watterson was the MAN! His art has made me want to do my own. It's wonderful to see Lego art continuing the legacy.

The snake is at his feet. Looking again, the king looks to have a pearl gold sword.

Disco Diva has the rollerskates from previous CMFs. The bearded guy is the Snake Charmer. Hopefully that snake will fit inside a standard barrel.

Ooh! I can see so much goodness! Doc Holliday! The Alien Trooper appears to have something similar to the SP3 skull headgear, but with mouthparts like Doctor Zoidberg from Futurama. It looks like he'll have wings as well (on the boxes). Looks like we'll get a black version of the wizard's cape. A new king's crown, with possibly a scepter. The Egyptian warrior looks to have a new headdress. The one so often used in Pharaohs Quest was actually taken from a royal headdress, so it is good to now have a common man's headdress. He may be holding a new shield too. The female cyclops appears to be dark blue or dark bley. The Paleontologist seems to have a new pith helmet. The Disco Diva appears to be wearing some shiny shoes, not printed! The guy with a beard could be the Carpenter or the Hot Dog Guy.

I finally finished my entry. I had to find a few parts I wanted to use. I'll photograph it this weekend. I went the monster/creature route.

I think of Onua as something like a wrestler. The fully upright and straight on stance doesn't suit him. Crouching somewhat with a slight lean forward, photographed at about a 20* angle. The static pose doesn't work for him.

That's actually probable. Lego already did a street cart hotdog vendor as set for free with $75 purchase. I have it somewhere. It came with a nice light blue bicycle.

Kobold? Can it be? I was just holding my copy of Magic Kingdom for Sale: Sold! That would be really obscure, but I would be very happy to have a Landover Kobold. Oh, now I have to try and create the characters in Lego. Abernathy is one that will have to wait until a Yorkie costume, or at least the head, is in Lego.

The crocodile eye printing isn't in the practical image, but the redesign of it is nice. The 45* angle piece in reddish brown is nice to have. I may have to get a few of those. It appears we are getting the classic map printing on a tan tile. Lots of other good parts. A definite buy, possibly multiples.
