I'm with Kai on this one; +1 for the round walls, but the dense foliage doesn't quite qualify.- 32 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
gedren_y replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
About the overmolding in the Simpsons, it is the ankles, not the feet. That wouldn't give you barefoot hobbits. -
Most of the preliminary sets were on Imgur before they were pulled. The new Bionicle, Superheroes, Pirates, and Ninjago were still roughs; while Elves, Technic, Mixels, Chima, City, Friends, Architecture, most Star Wars, Ultra Agents, and some Creator sets seem nearly ready. We also know that the minifigure scale Minecraft sets are slated for a November release.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I got some work done on the Nestlands Embassy in Nocturnus. This is shaping up to be one of my biggest builds yet. I just finished the swamp overrun section. I also have one of the removable roof sections nearly done. This one includes a roosting site for any large flying mounts visitors may arrive on. The idea is that this is an old run-down keep on the edge of the Moruth swamplands in Shadowmere. The Fleshmage Neord Bloodmane, now Ambassador to Nocturnus, has been repairing the keep with Kaliphlin materials for some time. There will be a mish-mash of styles, as this only the most recent repairs this keep has had. -
The male mini-doll in 41074 has elf ears. They are just hard to see given the color. There appears to be a new flower base piece, similar to the one that came with the CMF Bride and CMF Hippie, but with more stems.

Dang, the images got pulled. I was going to recheck them to confirm something, but now I'll just have to wait for some more leaks.

UoP DoH +1 on all claims.

If you are talking about that red animal, it is the existing Friends feline cub mold, used in the current Friends Jungle sets.

I took a close look at these images. I have spotted at least seven new molds for this theme. Some plant recolors as well. These look nearly finished, despite the watermarks. I hope I'll have the funds to by multiples for parts. It appears that a character from the Friends city has been magically transported to another realm. The look reminds me of some female targeted anime. This can go to Special Themes now.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

The tailor/boxer-shorts-guy image makes me think we might actually see another wedding themed set, possibly in City or as a Modular. Just what goes through my mind. The director might actually be on hold until The Lego Movie 2, slated for release in 2017. Did anyone else notice that the Artemis image is holding an arrowless bow? That's a piece I would really want. This is all pretty much speculation at the moment. Here are what I think are some obvious ideas for potential CMF figures. 1) Monster's Bride (to go with the CMF 4 The Monster) 2) Romeo, with two-sided head masked and unmasked (they've already done three figs from the plays, Shakespeare himself, and the upcoming Princess could easily be Juliet) 3) Flower Power Girl (to go with the CMF 7 Hippie) 4) Leonardo Da Vinci with an updated Vitruvian Minifig printed tile 5) Bigfoot/Sasquatch (recolor the Yeti) 6) Marching Band Player with a white or blue shako, and a tuba or drum (to go with the other high school themed figs) 7) Hunchback (to go with CMF 9 Fortune Teller) 8) Boudicca/Celtic Queen 9) Sci-fi Hero, Flash Gordon or Rocketman like with a cylindrical domed helmet That's just off the top of my head. -

At work today I realized that I could repurpose part of a failed build for my embassy build. I had a few other ideas that need testing as well. -

Aaa aa aa ... Waterways? I've had to redesign some already built parts of my Nestlands Embassy. I have an idea about some dissident Zugal for the build, as well as a visit from Lord Vladivus. I also have begun work on Quest for the Egg Part 2, The Home of Driz Urdon. I probably won't do as many builds as I thought for the quest. With the Drow occupied elsewhere, Sdair's search in their tunnels should meet little resistance. -
I doubt that Lego will do the Arthurian Legends. Even in the tamest version, there is too much religious iconography to meet TLG's standards.

The movie, and original work, is about a Mississippi man who gets named King of the Elves. The original work has the man's name as Shadrach Jones, but the Disney wikia page on the movie lists the name as Calder. While I think this film might appeal to girls, the concept art doesn't track with the look of the mini-dolls. Also from earlier reports, the Lego theme is centered around a girl named Emily.

Now this takes me back. Which Zorro is this one supposed to be? It makes me think of those classic Disney Zorro episodes starring Guy Williams. I'm just old enough to remember the re-runs shown early in the morning on Vault Disney.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Actually, you can change your main sig-figs as long as you're staying within the same guild. All that is required is that you close out the previous sig-fig's story. Killing off the character or sending them away to a far off land never to be seen again are ways to do it. A couple of people have done this. -
Nicely detailed build, and a well orchestrated story. The Shadowmere is attracting quite a few visitors. Ambassador Neord Bloodmane should be in residence at the Nestlands Embassy in a few weeks.

Good choice, Behemoth. If you do want to do water purification, at least on an individual drinking scale, the Nestlands Clans have distillation units for sale. They are mostly conical, modeled after whiskey stills. I did a small one for Visiting Herbologists. -

From the way I read the map, most of Meldrim County is on a plateau, higher in the north than in the south. I can see how the river border with Mitgardia is a deep but narrow canyon, that makes its way to the sea. I believe there are a couple geological reasons this would happen. -
When it comes to Ariel, TLG probably wants to make greater use of the mermaid tail mold. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only other movie with mermaids connected to the Disney Princesses line is The Little Mermaid II? That is, if Tiger Lily or Wendy isn't part of the Disney Princesses line. There were at least three mermaids in the original Disney Peter Pan.

Wonderful job of making it work. You could probably get a couple of UoP DoH credits for this. I suggest 'roof' and 'curved wall'.
