LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
gedren_y replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am a little disappointed with the Sheriff. I would have rather had a Marshal. I am tired of the gold star badge, and would have prefered the silver circle star badge. (I also noticed several people calling him a thief, when he is clearly law enforcement. ) As to why the Lone Ranger pistols weren't used, I am betting that the design is owned by Disney. The nod to classic Flash Gordon makes me hopeful that we will see a Pulp Fiction Hero character. As to the Lady Cyclops, I have a funny vig idea of her raiding one of the Princess' make-up vanity. I might use one of the mini-dolls for that. I am glad that King has a pearl gold sword of that type. It is only currently available in the 70404 King's Castle. I might take him with me to Burger King, just to see how the employees react. The Egyptian Warrior is my favorite of the bunch. I will probably try to get multiples of him (I rarely do this). The Goblin is a bit disappointing, as I would have liked a Kobold better. He is usable, but for multiples I would have to get more different olive green heads. I have a use for the Unicorn Girl head piece, but the torso print is pretty useless. The Alien Trooper head is something I may use on it's own as a creature. I will need three of the fencers, as I have a Highlander episode vig that I would like to do. Though I will probably not use the Lego fencing foil, replacing them with Brickarms rapiers. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Nice ballista. -
On the issue of the Spider-man license, Megabloks got theirs from the studio that produced ASM which had acquired the rights from Marvel. Marvel has since bought back control for ASM2. I wouldn't mind Scooby Doo Lego license. I loved the re-runs of the original series, and most of the subsequent series through the 90s. Since I don't have Cartoon Network, I haven't seen the more recent iterations. I do know that for the longest time (over most of the filmography of the character) the late Casey Kasem was the voice of Shaggy. Did you know that Shaggy's real name is Norville Rogers?

In one of the early series there was a swamp monster that looked like the original Creature From the Black Lagoon. It was a dark greyish green. There is quite a lot of discussion about the possibility of Scooby Doo in the Action Adventure forum in the thread about the new spooky theme. This is all conjecture at this point. I am actually of the point of view that the new theme will be a retooled Monster Fighters (including a tv show), since it is quite probably replacing Legends of Chima in 2015.

I have no interest in Bionicle as a theme, but I see a great amount of cross theme useage. A few of the Toa chest prints look like some odd kind of computer screens. I'm seeing in my head a sci-fi vig with alien races doing tactical analysis. I may even be able to use my Eris chestplate in this vein. The Protectors' masks have a more tribal shape to them than the Toa, and I will probably be getting multiples for other uses. The design makes me want to do something like a sci-fi Islanders. LoSS has plenty of that trans-orange that is great for making lava flows. That face would be good as a creature peeking out at the mouth of a cave.

Didn't Homer interrupt/stop a robbery at the Kwik-e-Mart? I wonder if we'll be getting Apu's wife (her name escapes me now).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

As to reusing the Simpsons CMF, Apu's body worked for a desert merchant in GOH. As to the new molds for this series, they make me wish I could get to my local Target more often. -

Something I just saw on Netflix: a listing for Daredevil as a Netflix Original coming next year. I did a search for Marvel, and it came up. Netflix streams Lego, set tie-in possibilities? -

Chima is also a TV show. Since the theme is ending, and the original Brickset post mentioned a franchise, it is plausible that TLG is reworking Monster Fighters into a brand that would work as a TV show that could be spread throughout several seasons. This could have nothing to do with DW.

Any mold that depicts an official movie prop or design would be covered under the license, and thus unavailable for use. The hair molds with the crowns, head molds, orc helmets, orc shields, specific weapons, the Mouth of Sauron headgear, and large creatures all covered. I remember when Lego first created the baldric, and it seemed like that may have been generic enough that it would get non-licensed uses. Nope. It was only used for POTC and The Lone Ranger. Looks like Disney owns the rights to that mold. Given that Lego has now made a completely separate set of elf ear molds for the CMFs and this theme, we may see Castle elves someday.

With Maggie, there could just be a recolor of her body mold. She has been in several colors over the years. There is also the possibility of the baby body mold being used for Maggie's rival, the uni-brow baby. While people are commenting on the idea of Marge wearing a hat, I would prefer a Marge with her hair down. The Mr. Plow variant of Homer would be much appreciated. As would be Bartman. I don't know about Lisa. Church clothing Lisa wouldn't work well without all the others doing the same. President Lisa wouldn't do well without the older Bart and teen Maggie. We know we are getting Dr. Hibbert, and I am hoping we get the robe bodywear piece in white as his lab coat.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread

Here on Eurobricks, usually you have to have joined the site before the start of the contest to be eligible to enter. Do the other sites not require this? Now, if the entrant is a member of multiple sites before the contest, I see nothing wrong with him/her entering the same build in another arena, against a different pool of competitors. You can still only win one slot. -

Nintendo licensed with K'Nex and they have a competing line of figures. Official Lego Link isn't going to happen people. I think it is now possible to make a decent version, though. The Christmas Elf hat, CMF Elf face, Pizza Delivery Guy's arms, a Forestmen torso, Hula Girl skirt, and either olive green (tights version) or yellow (no tights version) legs. About the new figs; from what's available, I think I'll be looking to get quite a few of these. -
There are several possibilities for Sheldon's shirt. I would immediately remove the test pattern shirt from the list, as it has more than five colors. There is the Minecraft Evolution shirt (red with yellow printing) that could be Lego-fied, but really wouldn't need to be. Any of the superhero shirts would work, as they are all DC brands, though his Hawkman shirt may be difficult to do (yellow with bright light orange and black printing). No on the robot arm. The Lego Death Star is plausible, along with the Green Lantern lantern and the silicon lifeform DNA model shown in the Idea. The white board on easel is possible, though not likely in the same form as in the Idea. The Green Lantern action figure is possible, though unlikely given where in him Sheldon hides his cash. The collectable sword is possible, if they do the wall with the door (it's location). How many figures? I want them all, but will accept any that Lego gives us.

That goblin hat is too vertical to be Green Goblin's, at least not in any of the versions that wore the purple floppy cap I remember. I am betting after this comes out there will be a lot of people buying various olive green heads from other themes. A goblin army wouldn't look so great if they all had the same face. -
I'd never even heard of Community until this thread. TBBT is on CBS, and syndicated on Fox and TBS here. You can watch it online as well.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Entry Thread
gedren_y replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
N'rahk Gallery The N'rahk are an amphibious insectoid species, feared throughout the Bionicle Universes. They inject highly corrosive digestive juices into their prey, and drink the liquified interior. The N'rahk then lay their eggs in the dessicated shells of their prey. The N'rahk prefer fresh water lakes and rivers, but can survive for long stretches at sea. They are highly territorial, so groups of N'rahk are rare. When threatened, the N'rahk produce a clattering sound in the upper octave range. There is no known counteragent for their digestive fluid. Proceed at your own risk.
