I really love how you took the extra challenge of doing a semi-rounded approach (e.g. the fence). This was definitely worth it, great result. Definitely

[ESL - FB2] Joan's Raft on the Terreli River (Class 0)
Elostirion replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you all so much for the amazing feedback. I knew it was one of my better builds, but I never expected that amount of love for it - really, really appreciate it! As for the poor guy having to handle the big raft all alone: Fortunately Terreli River is rather forgiving and easy on it's sailors. (and of course it's his damn job to navigate that thing... poor guy though, I agree) btw.: Flaw in the EGS: This should definitely have been my third freebuild this month considering all the great feedback...- 15 replies

It really fits the style perfectly. Also that roof technique is really clever, definitely inspiring. -
[ESL - FB1] The Cotton Lady (Class 2T)
Elostirion replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks for all the kind words. It was my first real Lego ship, glad you like it. I know exactly what you mean. I planned on filling up with flat round 1x1 for about 2 cm of height, but I vastly overestimated the amount of flat round 1x1 in trans dark blue I had, so I ran quickly out of them and couldn't add proper water around the ship, unfortunately. But that's for my next ship then. -

Joan's Raft on the Terreli River Don't know if it still counts as a build in Nova Terreli, but as it's close I thought I might just post it here as well...- 81 replies

Román Esteban Fontonajo had long ago realised that while sending ships across the open sea towards other islands was crucial to his family's success in the new world, upholding transport and trade on the island of Nellisa was almost equally as important. Joan was one of the people working for the Fontonajo family, sailing up and down the Terreli River with his big raft to transport goods to and from the farms in the hinterland of Nova Terreli. While cotton is one of the most important goods being transported, other wares find their way aboard Joan's raft as well: Apples, Bananas, Carrots, berries, some bottles of wine and of course some kegs of ale.

Febuary 616 - Eslandola's Escorted Trade Runs
Elostirion replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Román Esteban Fontonajo will send The Cotton Lady on the 4Profit run. -
For years Captain Rialdo Montoja has sailed The Cotton Lady under the banner of the Fontonajo family in the new world, transporting not only their cotton but also other goods to and from Nova Terreli mostly. Just yesterday they have left the port again and set sails for a new journey - for wealth and riches. The Cotton Lady (or ye old lady as most sailors call her) is a Cog (Class 2T), with the sole purpose of transporting goods for trading. It's neither fast nor strong (that single cannon on its golden wheels really does not serve much of an actual military purpose), and it does not have nor require much of a crew. But it can and does transport lots of goods in the new world.

Lovely library, what really stands out is how stuffed with details (e.g. the helmets or crown) the whole build is.

Great job on your plantation, though I have to admit my favourite part is the fence with the vegetation behind it.- 25 replies

Much to love here, the roofs are superb (I love those plants on the roof), but the road definitely stands out and was worth the pain building it.

Amazingly beautiful, these colours match so perfectly fine.

This is not Lego anymore, this is art. The atmosphere of a creepy medieval forest is amazing, but what stands out the most is the absolutely perfect combination of full-size-build and micro-build within a single MOC, which I have never seen executed so great before. Just amazing.

Sweet, looks great. The first pic (outside shot) is actually my favourite, your really captured that "small factory" look well.
