[MOC] NEW UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
marook replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What a masterpiece! Don't know where to make room for it, but have to try.. ;-) Where on modelermagic.com is all those pictures you refer to? Maybe I suck at searching, but can't seem to find anything but another model redone by someone else. -
Is offsetting the platform with 1/2 knob enough? I.e. with jumpers..

Ah, ok, I misunderstood.. I change between profiles as well, when 'breaking up' the front and back ends.. :-) -
SBricks & Trains - Second test runs with Stadler FLIRTs
marook replied to Ashi Valkoinen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice feedback. I've seen the BT breaks from time to time, but nowhere near as much as you explain there.. guess it really depends on the phone/tablet and interferance in the room. I have no problem running longer trains, also with good speed. running.. It has 1 SBrick in each loco and dual PF motors in each, but the second motor did not make it run faster.. maybe it can pull more cars?Speed did not differ between 4 & 6 passenger cars + loco's.. Why? I simply use the same profile and add both SBricks and assign the same slider to the port that has the motors.. and then inverse the port output for the one that is mounted revers on each loco.. ;-) -
I would at least cut the corner of the right side level one track so you can do the same with the inclining track and make that corner radius bigger. It should work. Also: Doing inclines with 1,5-2 plates pr. track is possible on straight tracks, and I've been doing leveled curves where thers is one plate higher on the outside of the curve than the inside. Makes is possible to go a bit faster down wards without derailing/tipping over.. ;-) Do you plan to make the incline with bricks or wood? First is easy to test with, second might be able to support better, and you can screw the tracks to the incline.. Oh, and look out for the points where you co from incline to flat.

Cool! Would be great to see the LDD files for the doubledecker.. might wanna add that to my HE.. ;-)

MOCs: Diesel-era rolling stock from New England
marook replied to MaineBrickFan's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That is really nice rolling stock! Love the flatbed cars and might try to redo some like it.. even though I'm in europe.. ;-) Edit: Seems like the flatbed is bending on the middle with load on.. any issues there? -

Hi, Sounds interesting. Maybe start it digitally as a site? If needed, I have hosting paid for the next 3 years, so let me know if you need hosting (at Dreamhost.com) I might be able to contribute as well.

MOC Modern lakeview house a few weeks after the dark ages ...
marook replied to polarstein's topic in LEGO Town
Welcome back to childhood :-) Nice start, and some fine details with the bricks available. There are other technics for making spiral stairs, but that one is also working. Keep it up, and if you have a LEGO Store near you, go fill up some cups in the Pick a Brick wall from time to time. Having 100-500 of one type of brick makes it a lot easier to build frrom imagination. Oh, and join a LUG near you - there are sometimes good ways to buy cheaper bricks there as well. Learn to use BrickLink if you need that special brick, or many of some.. -
Love it. Cool feature with the counterweight and opening door, and smart use of the light to indicate the elevator is at the floor. Only issue there, is that you have brick-separations right at the light, so you can see the movement up and down. Smalle detail, but.. ;-) Will love to see some design details when you feel for it :-)

That is a really nice layout! It kinda calls for a complete city layout, like Monaco, with the race going on in the complete city.. ;-)

They could maybe do this as a Creator set, or two? Having bricks to build different parts of the hospital in minifig scale.. that would sell to AFOL. I guess..

Lovely! Wanna build the river for it.. ;-)

Nice :-)

That is a really nice beach! And what an amazing promenade. Must have taken awhile to get done. Are the slopes fixed in some way?

Nope! The App can handle up to 16 SBricks!!! (At least on iOS) And you have 4 channels on each SBrick, so you only need 4, if the battery box can deliver! I do this with ease in my HE, one in each end (two motors + 2x PF light outputs on each).

Looks promising! :-)

I've found lots and lots of metal track for sale
marook replied to Paperballpark's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Just.. WOW! Reactions like that from moderators makes me wanna leave the forum! If you wanna kill the community, just keep sending warnings to active people in the community.. or maybe the MOD should do as you suggested, and ease up a bit - especially since no one seems to have complained about the post.. I get sooo tired...
