  1. I hate travelling in holiday season, I want the family to all get together safely.
  2. Ty! Will go check that out. Edit: OK, ironically the piece that I want to connect it to is not in LDD yet, lol. But the one wing (the right one only) that I can find does give a sense of size. Thank you.
  3. Are any of you able to help me answer, how long from bar to wing tip is this piece, the eagles' wing? Before I order one I need to know if this will work for my purpose. Thank you very much! Cara.
  4. I have a minecraft villager, the 1x1 tan tile on top and the 1x1 tan plate with printed eyes have cracks down the side (the plate crack goes right between the eyes) Wondered if anyone else has noticed this with minecraft sets, especially since they are the type that stay built for a while and sit.
  5. Seeing the versatility of this set is really impressive. I like the use of the dual window SNOTted to make skylights in one truck roof and the little guy showing off his trailer made me smile. The helicopter is clever. So many variations of truck you've all created! And many look like sets with the multiple builds. But I really like the hot rod shop there are a lot of small details there and the vehicle reminds me of a suped-up dune buggies.
  6. It is definitely dark azure blue. I went and picked some up. There are also 1x4 plates in medium lavender and lime jumper plates that I haven't seen on the wall before.
  7. Multiple Turtle Posters! Now I have to find an 18x24 frame. They are on the table at the moment flattening out.
  8. Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by LEGO® to make alternate models for current year city sets. The builds had to only use the pieces in available in the official LEGO model, be made in LDD, digitized, tested in real brick and be a model a 7-10 year old could build. I received set 60046 "Helicopter Surveillance". This set has a lot of variety, in both parts and colour, but only the masonry profile brick is available in any quantity. Here are my alternate models: Yacht Club Heist On the dock, the white tile gate turns to access to the gang plank. I put the 'Keep Out' stickered tile on the outside brown box. Boat on the Trailer The boat will slide smoothly down the trailer to launch, and the sail rotates. Wind Turbine and Maintenance Truck The wind turbine rotates 360 degrees around the column and the blades spin. There is a trap door in the ceiling to access the roof.
  9. I have a poster tube waiting for me at home! So others should be turning up too.
  10. Congratulations to you both! What a wonderful memory (and cow ) you created.
  11. Well I will be buying that 9.99 set just for those scissors! And I absolutely adore the new decorative fence/balcony panel. The amount of new molds/colour combinations that are being introduced is really wonderful.
  12. The yellow doors come from a 1984/85 freight train and cargo center. They are a very nice find. (As are white and red ones). Those carriages look great with your engines! May I ask, how much do the shops near you sell their bulk lego and those wagons for?
  13. Congratulations guys! A lot of interesting turtles over many themes.
  14. Love the tufted ears!
  15. I think you are over-complicating things. This question can be answered by searching on a photo site such as flickr for Example lego castle, then looking at the images and seeing what is most used. A basic starting point - light blue gray walls, dark blue grey rock and wall accents, dark brown or reddish brown for anything wooden. Slopes of the appropriate angle for what you are trying to create, 1x2 bricks for the wall, odd feature bricks such as the masonry one you showed, or round 1x1's stacked three high. SNOT bricks (the ones with the stud on the side) attach tiles to them fo extended stonework, etcetera. For getting started as soon as possible, it is buy a set that is similar to what you would like to make and look only at the bricks not the instructions! Fiddle, play. From there you should find out which bricks you wish you had more of, or a different colour of. You may find that you dont use a lot of the big panels (like the arch window example you showed) but rather you build a textured wall around a small window piece. If castles/landscaping are your first goal go over to the Guilds of Historica forum under LEGO Historic Themes. There are some great examples throughout that area for inspiration LEGO is great because there is no one way that must be followed. Find something you like and replicate it to learn the process. Then think I like or dislike this and I wish it looked like... and then ask for specific suggestions. I think you will get a better response.
  16. This is one really menacing beast. Great job.
  17. Wonderful brick built wings. The build looks so impressive then you realise wow its on such a tiny base and there is all that detail! Love it!
  18. I like these they blend PoTC and Imperial really well. I love the dark orange and liked the olive green though the bright orange pops. I agree that the white legs seem more LEGO pirates but I would of course be happy to own ones with detail printing! I think the harbor master with ruffle is really great except his eyes seem to be below that 50% line on the head due to the height of the bald cap. I think the harbormaster/officers would have a sword too? I also really like the middle two here. The simplicity and less formality of the torso draws me. Could we use these in the town or in the merchants if we don't use them for the guards? You have done a wonderful job creating and rendering these.
  19. Saw this on the frontpage and my first thought was 'is that a new set?' I didn't see the arms. The vines are great to break up the cave wall. I like all the details you crammed in, my favourite is the bookshelf.
  20. Its really fun and the cloud-like front is great.
  21. 32. Yatkuu 3 104. BEAVeR 3 234. Spiderdroid 3
  22. Something a bit more whimsical.. Princess in Pink Shoes
  23. Life is great, when your house always travels with you.
