    My favourite of the 2016 sets I've built so far. I'd go so far as to say this is the best "budget" set in years. I would have loved this when I was a kid ... great "swoosh ability"

    Built this set (main model) yesterday, and I really enjoyed the way it went together. Definitely worth purchasing!

    There is a rarer part ... 2740c01, which is 7 stud dia, and from 8855. Mind you, I don't have one of these so, I can't really comment on whether it would be suitable. Edit: I think it may be bigger than I thought, having taken a look on BL, sorry.

    Typically the V2 receivers have "V2" printed on the part, below the channel switch.

    More sense from what perspective? Surely the current pistons are already oversize for most scale builds.

    I don't see any obvious counter weight on the picture of the original yellow structure. That would lead to the conclusion that the rated load is minimal by comparison to the crane's mass, keeping the CofG over the rails and the wheels in contact with the ground.

    One of the best threads I've seen on EB! This, for me, is what Technic is all about ... demonstrating and aiding explanation of the functions/workings of real life mechanical systems. Keep up the great work

    It's an interesting configuration. I'll have to take a look at it next time I get a chance to get my hands on bricks Have you tried with different colour pieces? Red and orange for example?

    What do the "Diamond with stick" parts add to the light? A photo of the lights without the piece in place would be a great comparison.
