  1. Tiny! I like the lift mechanism ... simple and effective
  2. Awesome work! You have to sort the pneumatics and get a video posted ... it'd be a crime to miss out on that :) Great timing with the reveal too ... May the 4th is nearly upon us!
  3. I'd take it as a serious compliment, that someone believes you have that amount of influence over the AFOL community. Great looking car, by the way
  4. That's a great model in its own right! The fact that its C-model just makes it all the more impressive
  5. And a perfect fuselage shape to replicate with Lego.
  6. Parisian Restaurant was a particular favourite. All time though would have to be 854 Go Kart ... I built this so many times as a child that I can still build it now, without instructions.
  7. Smyths have been as low as £104, in the past, if I recall correctly
  8. I like the combining of studless and Model Team techniques
  9. Built: Jurgen Krooshoop's Tarantula Madoca's Pickup Sheepo's Mechanic Garage jack Zblj's Mini Tumbler Zblj's Santa Sled Planning to build: BrunoJ's Ferrari 458 Drakmin's Snowspeeder I've never been much of a fan of building other people's MOC's. But, over the last year or so, I've found myself drawn to more and more of the designs being produced.
  10. Although the sBrick is small, they do have a different profile to the IR receiver, when you have connected your cables. This means you can't always just swap them out with an existing IR receiver, especially if the IR receivers are enclosed in the model. I had Madoca's Pickup on hand and found that, when replacing the IR receiver, the sBrick (with stacked connectors on the lower step, for the two XLs) was too tall for the roof to be re-installed. This will be worth bearing in mind for the entrants in the TC6 competition!
  11. 10243 Parisian Cafe Large PAB cup.
  12. One of the most entertaining videos I've seen for a long time
  13. I think we've all been there at some point
  14. Built 42011 Race Car A nice little model ... unexpectedly so
  15. That's an impressive haul!
  16. Best set: Ghostbusters Ecto 1 Worst set: Research Institute Best Theme: Movie Worst Theme: Minecraft Best Minifigure: Joker from the Tumbler Worst Minifigure: Simpsons ... all of them Hopes for 2015: Something in the same scale as anything else in the Technic line
  17. The young at heart, maybe
  18. Sounds like a good holiday period for everyone
  19. Mine arrived yesterday. i'm looking forward to getting an opportunity to try it out. Incidentally, mine came with a sticker sheet for various technic panels, for that "Sponsored by sBrick" look
  20. So, what did everyone get for Christmas? I got ... 10226 Sopwith Camel 42023 Construction Crew 42011 Race Car Other sets in the house were: 70816 Benny's ssS 76023 Tumbler 70814 Emmets Construct O Mech 31021 Furry Creatures 42004 Mini Backhoe Loader
  21. No problem :) It's always good to see a new view point brought to forums. I, for one, had not really been aware of the Wedo range until you started posting so, thank you.
  22. A tipper truck, in scale with the loader, would make a lot of sense. There are far too few technic models that work well together.
  23. I don't believe that Wedo or Mindstorms are applicable to this particular thread, which is relating to PF vehicle design.
