How big is the engine in your car Jim?! If you think the Lego engine parts look too small in scale then you must be used to really BIG engine blocks in your cars -

Technic should be technical. That is the exact reason I first got into Technical Lego back with 853; I wanted something challenging, not easy. I hope that TLG aren't looking at the whole Technic range with a view to making it easier for kids, or anyone for that matter. -
No more cranes ... please!!! And I'd like to add ... avoid RC for once. RC does not automatically make a model great. Lets see great functionality through manual means, with a little thought in the design to make it suitable for PF and RC upgrades later. On that note, how about a range of extras packs for PF and RC upgrades?

Fantastic model in it's own right ... forget that it's a C-model. I too am keen to see instructions

True as this, I think that the aerodynamic efficiency of the main wing really needs to be optimised before the winglets will have any significant affect. -
Fantastic modeling of the cracking floor! I admire the way it all looks so clean and simple at first glance, with the skill and complexity of the build only becoming apparent the more you study it

Many thanks for that rm8; a good insight into an inspirational AFOL -
I'm finding that I prefer the smaller MOCs recently. This is a really nice build and something I'd love to recreate and maybe use as the base for mods

Fantastic build. As others have said, I too really appreciate small builds where every piece has to count. -

[TC5] Wheeled Excavator

What a great build! I look forward to seeing it when you've added your finishing touches I've been looking at the 8071 since TC5 was announced, thinking that there has to be a great C-model in there. Obviously, there was but, I wasn't creative enough to see it -
The storage solution can only ever be complete once your Lego collection is complete ... and when is that ever likely?

I like this a lot. It's good to see a build based on something unusual. And the attention to detail is great! As said earlier, the details of the snow are really well executed

Efferman's Custom Parts
Boulderer replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There are additive manufacturing processes available that will produce elastomeric components. Unfortunately, I can't recall what the durometers of the resulting materials are, and so couldn't say if they match the standard parts. I'd expect them to be more expensive relative to the standard Polyamide parts that have been produced to date.
