  1. Looking real good so far, nice and compact. I like how the tyres look spot on for this. Can you tell me which set those are from?
  2. I totally agree with the overall sentiment here, including refreshing all the time. P.S. Is it a coincidence that today is February 14?
  3. Really good looking model, congratulations. Do you plan to make instructions, or at least build in LDD? I've never understood the lack of interest in 8070, I think it's a rather good model.
  4. You always manage to impress me with your skills Zblj. Even though your styling does not usually suit me (guess it's a matter of taste), I can't even begin to wrap my head around the technical underpinnings of your models. I'm not even mentioning your wizardry with LDD.
  5. This is a top-notch rendition of a top-notch vehicle, congratulations! If only we could match the real one's performance using lego
  6. Remove the 5l axles that connect the two 87408 and you got yourself pendular suspension on both axles . Better yet, convert them to 4l and you got one pendular axle with the bonus of a stable body.
  7. That's a really good idea, looking forward to see its progress.
  8. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by the number of entries to this contest, I was expecting more people would participate. What's not disappointing is the quality of entries, there are so many great models, in different sizes and styles.
  9. Very nice models, good job. Great use of stickers too! Just a friendly reminder: you might want to edit your entry post, it has more than 10 pictures.
  10. 16. So it has some missing pieces and wrong colored pieces. Presentation Video: B807 Hot Rod Flickr Album WIP Discussion Topic
  11. It was a very busy week, so I only had today for the video of my a-model, and I've working on it almost all day, but it's finally complete, along with the final photos: And here's the video:
  12. I think those pieces are too curved for this
  13. That's the type of info that we all needed, and were hoping for. Thank you for sharing. And before anyone says, even though your credibility is questionable and we have no way of verifying the truth of your claims for the time being, I choose to believe you. Now, let the speculations commence!
  14. Not at all. Take a look at , it just has to have the appropriate sized holes.
  15. I finished the B-model, took photos&videos and dismantled it to build the manitou again. Overall, I'm satisfied with the model. It's functions are a bit limited compared to the a-model, which makes it a proper B-model . For more photos, head over to flickr album, and here is the presentation video: Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo with the bounding box. I'll try to take one, after I finish shooting the a-model.
  16. IMHO, That's not the same thing, nowhere near at all. You can't dismantle a Tamiya Off Roader and convert it into a F1 racer, or a 6 legged robot.
  17. It also says "Gefederte Vorderachse: Nein", which translates to "Front axle suspension system: No"
  18. Ahh, I see it now. Nice spotting!
  19. 6? it has 4 on the wheelarches, where are the other two? I don't suppose you meant this, right? If so, it has 10 of those. The new short version of this is also used on the passenger side dashboard.
  20. I don't see any antenna-like object, can you take a screenshot of what you mean? Could you be referring to the fuel cap?
  21. 3x11 Panel in yellow seems to be a new color of this part.
  22. This is the best looking 2h set this year in my opinion (apart from the porsche, since it seems to be a one-off UCS for the time being). And it's one of the best looking sets overall (given the crane can always be modded)
  23. I'm not sure about the BWE, but it might grow on me with time. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied with what I've seen so far.
  24. What about the possibility of a new rc unit, compaitble with PF2.0? The middle part of the rear axle seems to be covered, so a unit in the middle part of the axle that provides drive + steering could be hiding there. This would also explain the cv joint that seems to be going under the driver seat to the steering column, and presumably also to the steering mechanism.
  25. I'm really excited for this. I'm going to display this with the 8880 I've been trying to restore for the past 6 months. The kid that looked at the catalogue 20 years ago and dreamt about 8880, and the kid that still lives in me, side by side. It'll be awesome!
