  1. Thank you, I am glad you like it. One thing though, I've seen your comments on the other TC5 threads too, and they seem a bit demanding. I hope you are aware that instructions are not mandatory for this contest. Anyone who chooses to provide them is doing so by their own good will. As for my case, the lxf file is ready but it seems I forgot to upload it yesterday in the last minute panic. I will upload it tonight. You can download it then. But if you want pdf instructions, you'll have to wait some more, as they are about %25 complete.
  2. Thanks for the great reviews Sariel, I'm consuming them as fast as I can. One thing I noticed though, in the 42032 video, you said that the set has 17 of "Pin with Pin Hole", but the part list shows 2. Copy/Paste error I guess :)
  3. Here is the final update. I've done some minor changes here and there - Added floodlights to roof - Minor engine update - Handbrake in the cabin :) - Rear lights And here is a video :)
  4. 45. Tiltcabin Off-Road Racer Tiltcabin Off-Road Racer Made out of sets 9393 & 42027 Features: - Tilts when cornering - Working steering wheel - Front winch - Dummy V-6 engine - Adjustable seat Part Count: 354 Leftover parts: Here is the WIP Thread
  5. Everyone is posting awesome entries for the contest, so I thought I should post a teaser too :) I've wasted spent all day building the model in MLCad, then I thought to myself, why miss this opportunity to learn LPub? I'll try to finish it in time for the contest, but currently the video (although it will be a short one) has higher priority :)
  6. My intention wtih the two axleholes on top was to give the user something to build on :) Of course something different may be used instead, i.e. studs, 1-2 axles poking out etc.
  7. I don't think it's a bad idea. I think something like a 2 stud deep motor that can be stackable (hard coupled) can be nice and customizeable. I tried to illustrate it below, hope it is clear: This way it can be automatically hard coupled, thus increasing the torque. It can also be configured in the form factor you like, v-6, inline 4, boxer-8 or even V-64 :)
  8. Are you kidding? Even fans of wheeled technic will love this!
  9. Nice thinking, you never know when you might need a rocket or two
  10. Wow, amazing model, I love it! I like how the stickers suit the model too. Just out of curiousity, are those missiles on the sides?
  11. The climbing performance is quite remarkable. Have you done any tests with any balloon tires? Also, the lower part of the body looks like it is designed to float
  12. Do i get a prize?
  13. Very good c-model, I like this a lot. Reminds me of a terrific car, the KTM x-bow.
  14. Are you talking about the front axle being a little to the right side when the suspension is not compressed? If so, that is the way it is intended to be. The reason is to make the front axle stay in the center when the suspension is compressed.
  15. I would say go for the Unimog. It's such a beauty, and it's getting rare by the day. Volvo is new, so it will be around for some time. It also depends on what kind of parts you want. Volvo has quite a broad range of pf elements, but the Unimog has pneumatic elements.
  16. Awesome model! Congratulations, I really like it. It looks terrific with those larger wheels too.
  17. Thanks, I like it too. You operate the steering by tilting the cabin :)
  18. I did some more work this week on the model. I built the middle section, added a fake engine, and working steering. I also spent some time yesterday building a simple lightbox, and I am satisfied with the outcome. Hope you guys like it too. And here is a photo of my lightbox: It's 50x50x70 cm. I think this should be enough for small to medium models. I'm planning to add a third light & diffuser to the top sometime. The diffusers are made of tracing paper and a lot of the light gets reflected & scattered. Should I add some reflective sheet to cover the light sources? TODOs on the model: - Some more work on the engine - Rethink the roof - Sides of the rear part of the cabin are too empty, - Rear lights - Maybe change the angle of the rear mudguards
  19. I came in here expecting an incredible review .
  20. It looks very good, we would love to see a video of it in action. I think the flex axles on the sides look out of place with the rest of the body.It would complete the look if you could solve that part with angle connectors too. Regardless, I really like the looks!
  21. Thanks. It's a nightmare trying to add a function to rear axles with limited parts. It would be much more easier if I had some clutch gears at my disposal. That being said, I'm not satisfied with the rear end either, so I'll see what I can do.
  22. Thanks. The rear part will get a rework once I figure out the mid section. I'm planning to make a short video. And once the model is finalized, I'll do a digital model (and maybe my first instructions, who knows?)
  23. Hi everyone, I had some time to build over the weekend, so it's time for an update. I tried to add pull-back motor to rear wheels, but it actually reduced playability because it prohibited reversing, and was not very stable with this kind of articulated chassis. So I dropped the idea and returned back. - Work on the bodywork is coming along nicely - Adjustable seat added - Strengthened the back of the chasis Todo: - Working steering wheel - Front section of the cabin - Maybe a rear spoiler - Any other idea that pops into my mind P.S: sorry for the bad photo quality, took them this morning while trying not to be late for work.
  24. Hi all, Is there a reliable source that I can find the list of extra parts that come with a set? I am specifically looking for extra parts of 9393 and 42027, but if there's a general list, that would be good to know too.
