  1. I am looking for someone that can help me make a custom sticker of yellow and black danger stripes that will (when printed) fit on a 1 x 2 tile.
  2. I wish Perth had a LEGO event, Canberra gets one even though its smaller than Perth. I guess the distance is a big factor in that unlike Canberra, it would be harder to get the interstate visitors to come to WA for a show.
  3. I am particularly happy with the custom no-ghost-logo stickers I did for the hood of the UTE and the front of the bike.
  4. This is my vision of what it would look like if the Ghostbusters issued a franchise license for an Australian team of Ghostbusters. There are 3 Ghostbusters on the team (and no I didn't come up with names for them) along with their GhostUTE and GhostBike vehicles. The Ghostute features a PKE meter system, lights, siren plus storage space for the Ghostbusters gear. The Ghostbike contains storage for more gear and has its own lights. Equipment the Ghostbusters are using includes the Ghost Trap, the Proton Pack, the Slime Blower, 2-way radios, Ecto-goggles, torch, and special camera for photographing ghosts.
  5. Here is a Lamborghini convertible: Here is a truck with a load of bales of wool on the back: Boorungie is the name of a real sheep station in outback NSW. z
  6. Nice to see that I am not the only one doing LEGO models of Australian buses :)
  7. I like how the bakery has a fire hydrant on the sidewalk, it ties the whole thing back to City.
  8. Boy do I wish that new tool set was available now, it would be perfect for the gas station I have built and intend to display :) Too bad it wont be out for months :(
  9. Any sign of the cargo sets in the LEGO cache?
  10. From looking at the new pictures, it looks like the windows on the red bus are most definatly trans-smoke which is good :)
  11. Its inspired by all the things a modern full-service petrol station/convenience store has (rather than being based on any one station)
  12. Does anyone know what color the windows on the red bus in the Town Square set are? I cant tell from the pictures if they are trans-smoke or trans-clear.
  13. Didn't see the Galaxy Squad sets at any of the 4 shops (Toys R Us, Target, K-Mart or MYER) at Carousel as of today.
  14. So far I haven't seen anything in this wave that is as awesome a parts pack as the Helms Deep, Mines of Moria or the Bag End set. Although there are a couple nice looking parts in the Black Gate set and maybe in the Council and Wizard Battle sets (although I will need to see pictures to be sure) Oh wait a sec, are those map tiles in the boat set new? If so, that will make it harder since I am trying to collect every map LEGO has ever made. Guess that's what Bricklink is for (like the many other maps from hard-to-get/expensive/exclusive sets already on my BL wanted list :)
  15. Given that Iron Man 3 the movie opens on the 24th of April, I would have thought LEGO, Marvel and the retailers would want to have the tie-in toys on the shelves before it opens. Then again, licensed product that comes out weeks after the movie is already in theaters isn't exactly unheard of...
  16. Nice job, really looks like it would be at home in Florida somewhere (probably right on the beach)
  17. Actually, the grey slopes for the carriage roof aren't all that rare (especially if you buy the version with the bottom tubes which is more common and is listed as an alternate for the Emerald Night set on BL) The rare/expensive parts in the set are the sticker sheet, the wagon base for the carriage (which is only expensive because its big), the aforementioned windows and maybe the minifigs.
  18. Anyone got a date for Lone Ranger?
  19. I like the set as a source of parts and may pick one up although with an AU RRP of $150, its a bit on the expensive side for what it is (I suspect the license has something to do with that being Disney and all)
  20. I do get a little worried about some staff member having a go at me if I am in a store feeling the CMF packets but so far that has never happened to me. My only major paranoia when it comes to LEGO is loosing parts from creations or having major damage occur to them (recently I took my Octan petrol station out with me to show someone and it got dropped on the footpath and smashed. Thankfully there was no real damage to any of the parts and I was able to re-assemble the creation no problems although it did mean I couldn't get to all the shops I wanted to get to before they shut.)
  21. LEGO has come up with a good series as usual. The skydivers parachute and helmet will be a good fit for the "extreme sports" part of the big MOC I have been planning for ages (it will be a store selling boating gear, fishing gear, camping gear, sports stuff, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, extreme sports and more). The baseball fielder will also be a good fit for this creation. The painters paint roller and paint can will be great for the hardware store I have been planning. Some of the figs (the grandpa for one) will provide even more variety in generic civilian figures (to use as passengers on my buses for example or as people waiting for a train at my train station) I think the hat on the boat captain would (if produced in black with maybe a small printed gold logo on it) look great for an airline pilots hat in a future CMF series. I hope these get to Australia soon :)
  22. Give me the golden age of LEGO Space over both Star Wars and the current crop of non-licensed space themes with much more rigidly specified storylines (Galaxy Patrol, Mars Mission, Space Police etc) any day.
  23. Nice video, really captures that Mario feel :)
  24. I have all my stuff sorted mostly by piece type. I don't have an "anything else" box as such, just various boxes and compartments of various sizes where I have placed multiple piece shapes in the one container (in some cases they are piece shapes that are logically related such as all my animals in one box and in some cases they are just parts that happen to be similar sizes or otherwise make some sense to put into the one box because they all fit)
